Bir Form 2316: Fill & Download for Free

I am from the Philippines and these are the documents that I was asked to prepare for my interview by the our company’s partner travel agency:Interview confirmation print-out and US MRV official payment receiptDS-160 visa application submitted online (don’t bring this to your interview!)2 in x 2 in colored photos on white background (refer to the US embassy guidelines!)Passport with at least 6 months validity from date of travel and old passports with visa stamps, if any.Income Tax Return BIR 2316Certificate of Employment showing my position, tenure and annual incomeInvitation and guarantee letter from host company, manager or colleague and/or online registrationDaily itinerary from host company, manager or colleagueOriginal bank certificate with 3 months bank statement or passbookCopy of international credit card (front only) with 3 months statementFlight booking and hotel accommodations (optional)During the actual day of the interview in the US embassy in Manila, only the interview confirmation print out, my passport and my photo was presented. The interviewer only asked me about my job title, how much I make, the purpose of my travel and the countries I have been to. I was approved without showing any other document.On the otherhand, there were five interviewees ahead of me that were not approved. I cannot forget the one immediately preceding me because when he was asked how he was related to a certain person named by the interviewer, he cracked a joke that the woman is his ex. His ex-fiancee who is now actually his wife and that they just got married last Sunday. He laughed so hard but it sounded really forced. The look on the interviewer’s face shows slight amusement and she continued asking questions until finally she says to the interviewee, “I am sorry but I cannot approve your visa…” I think the lesson here is to provide direct factual answers, don’t waste the interviewer’s and other interviewee’s time with your jokes. It just makes you look like you’re trying to distract the interviewer with humor.
