Isp 1000: Fill & Download for Free

I don’t know about other states but in Hyderabad where we are used to High speed internet at throw away prices ever since broadband services are launched.In Hyderabad, earlier there was an ISP called BEAM which used to provide quality broadband services with best available speeds at cheaper prices. Later its been sold to ACT now. I've been using Beam/Act since 2007.In 2019 January, Jio Fiber services are launched (testing) and if we pay a refundable deposit of 4,500/- for router, Jio will install a dual band Router with 1100 GB free data per month at 100mbps and the (beta) services are free. As it’s JUST FREE, Our entire Apartment with 24 Flats have shifted to Jio from ACT.The services are pretty good and we didn’t have a single downtime incident since Feb 2019 to till date.On 20th Dec, we received an SMS saying that the from 28th December we have to recharge to avail broad band services. And for 200GB data (200 GB additional data given for free for the first six months), we need to pay 1000/- (incl GST).For any Hyderabadi, 1000/- for broadband services is way too expensive as we already have handful of other service providers in the marketYesterday I've applied for a new connection with Hathway which offers 100mbps unlimited data and Free dual band wifi router and installation for just 1767/- (for 3 months)Jio should change their tariffs and customize them based on the local area situation. You cannot sell your offerings at the same price PAN India. It doesn’t work always.Update: 20/Apr/2020.Back to Jio as I do not want to take chances during this lock down and Hathway has three to four interruptions in the last 3months.Jio has revised FUPs (600GB/Month) but not price ₹1000/month.. additional two months if we take one year plan (₹12,021/14 months)

No, they’re congested. Or maybe the speed test site is congested.Retail ISPs can’t sell you 100% your own clear connection to the Internet. The core isn’t big enough for that, and it would be extremely expensive. High end commercial connections you can get it… but an uncontended gigabit plan is thousands of dollars a month.So, there’s what is called an overcommit factor. The plans they sell add up to something like 20x the bandwidth they actually have, which is fine because not everybody uses the network all at once.But at peak time, the network gets a little congested, just like the roads do.It’s also true that you won’t get a speed test of 1000 Mbps on a gigabit connection ever, because it takes a little time for the test to come up to speed and it cannot 100% fill the pipe. Expect a maximum of about 880 Mbps on a true gigabit connection, unless the test site is very very close by (ping time of a millisecond or less).

When you look at the data packet from KOLKATA branch, it can be noticed that the generated packet has Vlan Tag (VLAN-100). This packet is also called as CVLAN traffic (Customer VLAN traffic). So the tagged information (VLAN-100) is called as CVLAN.SVLAN is nothing but the ISP has their own number of vlans configured in the network. Customer traffic will be transmitted over those vlans, In our case, CVLAN-100 traffic will be transmitted over SVLAN-1000. So the packet penetrating thru ISP network will be having two vlans SVLAN & CVLAN (Double Tagging).
