Bloomberg just reported today that the Lion Air final report will be released in November. They say that most of the recommendations are against Lion Air, not Boeing. Lion Air isn’t happy about that, but it’s a horrible airline. I’m surprised they are still in business. They falsify documents and fake repairs. For most years Lion Air has existed, they have been banned both from flying into the United States and the EU. The way that MCAS was designed left it with no redundancy. That means that if an angle of attack sensor fails it can cause MCAS to malfunction. Of course, pilots should know how to deal with this failure, but it never should have done that in the first place.If the Lion Air cases are heard in an Indonesian court, the victim’s families will get almost nothing. That’s because their laws are different from U.S. law. So, it seems unlikely to me that the families will sue. This payment will get the issue resolved.$100 million is nothing for Boeing. Boeing will be paying $4.9 billion to airlines that had grounded aircraft! Now, that’s some serious money.

That plane was shot downEverything appeared to be normal. What it isn’t normal? Most crashes have data all the way to the final moment, this crash however seems to have stopped mid air. Likely from a catastrophe in air. The video of the plane crash shows it going down in a ball of flames.The debris are also spread out, through a wide area. This also suggests a mid air disintegration. I highly believe this aircraft was shot down. Perhaps an accident like the MH17 was, or maybe not. Either way, it doesn’t excuse the chaos created. This flight was suppose to land at 8am in Kyiv Ukraine, the time as of right now in Ukraine is 9:13am. These poor families probably can’t even comprehend the news they’ve been told. I can’t imagine what they’re feeling or going through right now.I feel that we’ll see a similar event as we did with MH17.*EditThe media is now reporting that Iran has discovered the issue as an engine failure, which is interesting. Has any of the manufacturers even showed up the crash site? No. Iran, the first country to publish the preliminary report, and final report, based off one black box, within 24 hours! Move along, nothing to see here! I’m not buying it. The truth to this accident will likely never be known. Funny how they’re saying it was a engine failure, yet the pilots never declared an emergency. And they had no data reported of the descent. Quite the engine failure if you ask me. Believing Iran about this accident is like believing Russia didn’t supply the rebels in Ukraine who took down MH17. I would not be surprised to hear that the military accidentally fired on the Aircraft while setting up SAM defenses preparing for a counter-attack from the US. I am sure it was unintentional and these souls paid for it. I really do find “the engine failing” hard to believe.
