Here is the procedure to obtain it at Majestic. You will need a pen, two passport size photos, a gumstick (preferred) and Rs.100.Go inside the main lobby at BMTC Majestic bus station (at Platform 1, where the Volvos stop)Go to the "Information Help Desk" and ask for the ID application form.Fill up the application form and paste your photo in the space provided.Go outside to the other side (left) of the lobby facing the road, and you will find a row of counters. Go to the counter marked "1050", hand over the application and Rs.100 and request for an ID card.The official sitting there will give you a blank ID card.Fill in all the details in the ID and paste your photograph. Don't forget to sign on the ID card.Go back to the same counter and hand over the filled ID card. The official will countersign and stamp it with a BMTC seal.Next, you will have to go back inside the lobby and take the stairs there to the first floor. If you want, you can buy a pass holder for Rs.10 from the shops there.New Update August 2018 for Students wishing to avail a concessional BMTC Bus PassHere is an important update for school students studying in 10th Std and below, applying for a BMTC Bus pass. This procedure is an initiative f the Student Achievement Tracking System set up by the Karnataka State Government. The objective of the SATS is to have a one stop portal and database to monitor the state of education in the state, irrespective of the organisation running the school be in the private or public sector. Initiatives like these generally get ignored as schools do not see any benefits in taking up the task of registration and maintaining the data. To add a few incentives for schools to register themselves SATS has collaborated with BMTC to issue online Bus PAsses to schools without visiting BMTC Bus Pass issuing counters. This is a big benefit for parents. I know people often have to lose a casual leave to get a Bus Pass for their kids and it is an annual affair. However, you can benefit from this scheme only if your kid’s school has bothered to register with SATS. Also I do not have any feedback if the system is working.
