PNB my friend…PNB is better..Everybody knows that SBI is the largest bank in india having a lot of branches and ATMs, but is anybody here considered about the customer service?Let me explain.. I have a savings bank account in both Banks (PNB and SBI), trust me I love PNB, as their customer service is something I didnt expect from a Sarkari Bank.This case is about when I lost my SBI debit card and needed a new one urgently. SBI didn’t provide that to me instantly, they said they will only be sending it via post within 15 days. I was like “Goddd!!??”..They wanted me to visit branch with a self signed cheque and stand in long SBI queues every time i needed a small sum of goddamn cash for next 15 days...Jesus!!.But, thanks to PNB.. my account was so new that PNB staff didnt get my KYC documents scanned till that time. On my request they accepted the debit card application, when my records were not found online (as they couldn’t scan my docs at that time) they manually searched my KYC documents in hard copy (which I gave them a day before), they instantly got my request approved and gave me a shining classic debit card at the very next moment.They also got that activated instantly by generating the greeen otp manually, which i used at the atm (just outside the bank) and got my debit card working.The whole process took less than half an hour at PNB, precisely just 14 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes less time taken than SBI (The so called Largest bank of India).[edit] - Plus now PNB is offering unlimited ATM transactions through its huge network of ATMs at just Rs. 1000/- AMB.vsSBI offering just 4 transactions at Rs. 5000/- AMB.
How do I transfer my PNB bank account from one branch to another without going to the branch?
Absolutely yes! I have done it recently. First of all write an application to the branch manager of your latest pnb bank in white A4 sized paper mentioning that you want to transfer your account to your desired pnb bank, give proper address along with IFSC code and MICR code and give the proper reason why you are going to transfer your account.After that you scan the application. Find the email of the desired destination bank’s branch manager through google search, then Open email messenger, type it on appropriate option. Now at subject coloum type “Application for account transfer from____ branch to____ branch. In the subject coloum, write application again which are written on the scanned copy. Lastly, enclosed your KYC documents(Id proof and Address proof) by clicking attachment option at buttom. Don’t forget to mention your registered mobile number on application form. You are done! After few days back your account will be shifted to your desired branch. Now give me a high five✋🏼.
Can I change my registered mobile number with PNB without visiting a branch?
You must go to your branch and fill up the KYC form again with new mobile number. If you do it online via ATM or website it'll not completely work as the main document is still available with your old mobile number.
