Can a 17-year-old buy a car from a dealership in Michigan?

Not until she reaches the age of majority, which is 18 in most places in the US.She cannot legally sign a contract until then, at least not a contract that involves a loan or the purchase of an asset such as a car.You will have to cosign the loan and you will have to be listed on the insurance contract and the purchase agreement. IThis makes you responsible for the loan and the car and the use of the car if something happens to her.It would be better (for you and her) if she would wait until she is 18 and can do this on her own.

What are some of the biggest differences (other than the weather) you notice after moving from Chicago to Florida?

I moved from Detroit to Florida and I think the most striking thing for me is how slowly people do things here and how informal things are. Up north when you bought a house you signed Purchase Agreements and down here you want to make an offer you tell the agent how much you want to offer and if it’s acceptable then they write an offer. Also road construction takes forever. You would think with good weather construction could be completed quickly but no. The workers work until anywhere from 2 to 4:30 and then head out. That is in addition to the alligators, snakes, weird spiders and bugs and amoebas in the water. If I knew then what I know now I would have stayed in Michigan.
