Those companies follow respective country's regulation control which means they will sell components to civilian space agency like ISRO. But they will not sell components to Military Organinisations like DRDO. DRDO builds missiles for defence purpose. ISRO makes satellites rockets for civilian infrastructure and science purpose. Hence it is easier to build rockets and satellites as indian companies do not produce majority component.2. Wewent to mars using limitedly guiding vehicle. A vehicle control system and navigation guidance makes maneuvar capavility. a complexity of maneuvaribility defines the grade of a vehicle. Here is the wisdom " modern aircraft has greater maneuver capability than missiles. Missiles has greater maneuver capability than rocket and satellites" Greater maneuver means greater sophisticated instrument which require more no of high end component which we can not purchase for defense. Now you might have noticed that even if India has developed missiles quite a number we don't have single operation fighter jet made by India. No operational or developmental commercial passenger aircraft is made in India. Because maneuver capability is higher even if components are there for civilian cause we could not make a damn aeroplane.3. Why the hell should government should waste tax money on a 10000 km range ICBM when our immediate threat is our neighbours With the same money we can buy more submarines, aircraft carriers make more 5000 km missiles. We can develop drones or buy drones to tackle our neighbours. Defense budget allocation wise it is idiotic to spend on 10k km range missile development. Major threats lie within 6k km.
