Indians love their politiciansAt 4th February, 2018 on the way to Varanasi’s airport to fly to Mumbai, we stuck in traffic jam. I tried to force taxi driver to hurry up. But he told me that there is nothing he can do, because today Chief Minister is coming. I looked out of the window and saw hundreds of dancing people, blocking the on the road with this activity. Also, posters of this CM (later on I checked for his name -he was Akhilesh Yadav ) were everywhere along the route. When we finally passed this place, we met 3–4 more this kind of dancing points.After reaching the airport, I began my registration process. After few minutes I heard loud noise of people running, yelling. Something important was definitely going on. One man from Holland, also registering to Mumbai flight, suggested this was the start of revolution. Another version was that there is some type of India pop-super-star arrived. But finally, Indian women on registration board calmed us down that it was the arrival of chief minister.Also, in New Delhi, at 26th January Republic day parade, a voice introduced every upcoming type of military force unit, and also politicians! This is Minister of…. minister of … (sorry I don’t remember exactly what was their specialization). People were applauding after every politician passed near them, despite the fact they were sitting inside black cars invisible for most people.Republic day parade, New Delhi, 26th JanuaryIn Russia, only president can get this type of attention. Other politicians are precepted on range from total disinterest to hatred. People will go for some official arrival only if they are prepaid, or some free stuff like food or booze would be given to them. In any other case, government officials are more likely to recieve rotten tomatoes rather than small portion of applauds.Indians respect their businessmenAlso, in private speaking with Indians, I noticed a pattern that they see their Reliance and Tata company chiefs as good men, giving a lot of jobs to Indians. That surprised me also. In Russia, such kind of rich people are generally precepted as devils, robbing common people.No Russian oligarch would build Antilia-like house in the center of the city. He will make less high building in a private zone for such people and try to keep it as secret from common people. Guess such buildings are possible in India due to the fact that people respect to Reliance group owner.

Yes, I received the talk from my mother. That was strange because my father was married to my mom, but he didn't give it. But he also didn't give the sex ed talk either. My mother did.Anyway, I had just received my 1st car at 16. My mother asks me to come speak with her a few days after I came down from the high of owning a vehicle. She basically told me that owning my own car and not being driven around by her would be very different. The difference would be that police officers would racially profile me. She told me to always have my license. Make sure my insurance card and registration were always available. When interacting with the police, never make sudden movements. Always speak clearly and with respect.It's interesting because a few weeks after the talk I was pulled over going to a teen dance event. The two officers made me get out of my vehicle and assume the pat down position. They claimed parents in the neighborhood said people going to the dance event had drugs. They asked to search my entire vehicle. The entire time people were rubber-necking in their vehicles and people in the community stared. I felt nothing. My mother had already warned me. 5 minutes later, I got back in my car and went to the teen dance.

This was my first attempt. I was on margin (95–100). I was a bit sad after giving the exam since I missed 3–4 easy questions of environment (lack of knowledge). I started my preparations in second year of B.tech (civil eng. IIT Delhi), so it hurt a bit to know that I may not be clearing it even after preparing for 2.5 years .My friend informed me that results are out. Mistakenly I typed registration number instead of roll number. My heart skipped a beat after not finding the number on the list. I was like “koi nhi you gave your best “ , but then I realised that it was actually roll number ! I checked again and boom I cleared it :). My mother practically danced after I told her that my roll number is on the list ! But alas, this is just start of the battle. over to the mains now ! Best of luck everyone :)
