If there was unanimous consent, then I would.I find it extremely unlikely that every person on the planet would agree to have this done to them, and it would be horribly unethical to do it otherwise. I can’t think of strong enough language to describe how terribly violated and enraged I would feel if someone did that to me without my consent.Even if every person on the planet agreed to have this happen, it would be a terrible loss to have all our diversity erased. I would feel like I were in a dystopian setting, with everyone exactly the same height, similar features, identical skin/eye/hair color.It’d be super creepy.

While living in China I was in situations when people discussed my appearance in a way that can hardly happen in any other country I guess. For example:你的头发怎么好看！真的吗？ 可以触摸它吗？/Your hair color is beautiful! Is it real? Can I touch it? (touching the hair right away without hearing a consent)你的眼睛的颜色怎么蓝呢！真的吗？/ Your eyes are so blue! Are they real? (staring)你的睫毛那么长! 不可能！/ Your eyelashes so long! Impossible! (trying to touch)This is a usual subway talk that can happen to a Caucasian woman with Slavic features like brown hair and grey-blue eyes.

When I was in school, my mother used to braid my hair and every morning I cried while she fought with my tangled hair. Now, I have taken her place and the fight still continues using 3 different types of hair brushes/combs. My hair is thick and goes down a few inches below my waist. I only trust my mother with my hair and one hair dresser who knows the difference between trimming and cutting off inches without consent.I can experiment with different styles. Anything looks good with long hair- straight, curls, wavy, braids, buns, hair color sprays (with aftercare) .When I have nothing to do, I start using my creativity on my hair and have a reason to be pleased with myself.Though it looks like too much work to maintain long hair, I have kept it low maintainance from the very beginning. I oil them weekly and have never used permanent hair color or any kind of chemical so it stays naturally healthy.When it's hot, It can really get messy with oily itchy scalp and a messy bun tied high to avoid hair touching the neck. Washing them is another test of my patience. I have to wash them twice or thrice to remove oil and then dry them. At times I just feel like not doing anything and wearing a beanie with a messy bun. But, no matter how much irritating it can get, I can never think about cutting them short.To sum it up, it is amazing having long hair even though it's time consuming.A2A, Thanks.
