Science in general is dishonored by attempting to impose nationalist or religious criteria on top of its underlying principles. Those principles? To find out the truth about the natural world, to validate it by careful and repeated experiment, to build on that knowledge wherever it may lead. Forth is very interesting but I don’t think of it as that powerful. Forth’s superpower is that it can be extremely compact and have a very small memory footprint while giving good performance. However for most modern processors forth isn’t a great fit when it comes the architecture. That is because Forth is mostly stack based and most processors are very memory based.We now have lots and lots of memory so Forth is less important. Speed is more expensive than memory so Forth is less important.Now if Forth were easy for humans to use, that might make a huge difference … but in general Forth is hard for most people to understand let alone write.
