A good friend of mine is an election judge here in Austin Texas. After Texas passed strict voter ID laws I asked him how many people were being turned away for lack of ID.He told me that occasionally a person shows up, usually an elderly person, without one of the valid ID cards. Usually they can provide one of the alternative forms of identification[1].Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPSTexas Personal Identification Card issued by DPSTexas Handgun License issued by DPSUnited States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photographUnited States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photographUnited States Passport (book or card)Alternate forms of identification:copy or original of a government document that shows the voter’s name and an address, including the voter’s voter registration certificate;copy of or original current utility bill;copy of or original bank statement;copy of or original government check;copy of or original paycheck; orcopy of or original of (a) a certified domestic (from a U.S. state or territory) birth certificate or (b) a document confirming birth admissible in a court of law which establishes the voter’s identity (which may include a foreign birth document).If the voter has none of the above he or she casts a provisional ballot, and then has six days to contact the county and provide one of the acceptable forms of identification.It is unheard in my friend’s experience to have someone just flat be unable to vote.Footnotes[1] Required Identification for Voting in Person

The 14th Dalai Lama lives in India under the status of Tibetan refugee and he is no different than any other Tibetans who live in India with the same status. That being said, he does not hold any passport but a travel document which is also known as IC (Identification Certificate) issued by Indian Government for Tibetan refugees(as Xuan Luo mentioned).But the Dalai Lama does have special exemption by Indian Government from frisking at all the airports in India.

If I have known that someone has a drawer full of alcohol since July, will I get in trouble if I tell on them now after knowing for so long?There are many assumptions that I will be making about this question, and those are:A. You live in AmericaB. By “tell on them”, you mean that by telling the police, and not someone’s mom.C. You're telling on X person for the only reason of snitching, and not to be productive.D. This person legally owns the AR-15.Okay.If someone legally owns an AR-15, even if it goes against every single one of your political views, they still legally own the AR-15.Think of it as alcohol. If someone wants to legally obtain alcohol they need the proper identification and money to obtain said alcohol. Same with an AR-15 - you need the proper identification (certifications*) and money to obtain said AR-15.If I, in fear of getting in trouble, go to the police and tell them my 21 y/o friend legally was drinking alcohol last night - they'll laugh and send me on my way. And, if your friend figures out you tried to nag on them, that would probably get you in more trouble than you would have with the police.Social consequences can be a bitch.*assuming they're a legal citizen in the right state of mind when they obtained their gun and license
