I will be going to Dallas in May to show my support, attend informational presentations and see all of the neat stuff in the exhibition hall.And of course, go shooting as often as possible. Try the different shooting sports in all of their variety: small bore, large bore, bullseye, silhouettes, falling plates, IPSC, skeet, trap, sporting clays… Are you getting the idea?And finally, bring people who have never been shooting to introduce them to the sport. I have met a few famous people. But the best one ever was as follows:In 1993, I was working in Frankfurt and had gone for the weekend to Leipzig. Now, Leipzig has an old town hall and a new town hall (actually functioning one). The old town hall had an exhibition that I was interested in but somehow ended up at the new town hall which was being used by the SPD (political party) for their annual convention.Me, wearing my backpack, come up the stairs to a big hall on the upper floor and there is this very formal guy and asks me where I was headed to. So I mentioned the exhibition and he said “There is none here, maybe the old town hall”. Then he asks where I learned such wonderful German and we had some small chitchat and then I thanked him and left.On Monday, I see the newspaper which has a huge coverage of SPD annual party convention and there is a HUGE photo of the guy I had met - Gerhard Schroeder (later to be the chancellor of Germany)!

Not as far as anyone in the NRA knows. The 2020 Annual Convention and Meeting are scheduled for April 17–19 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Registration opens on the 16th.A venue such as the Doral isn’t suitable for the NRA National Convention. It’s far too expensive for members and it doesn’t have the necessary facilities for the exhibits that are part of the event.You should attend the 2020 Convention: it’s about six hours from Jackson to Nashville via I-55N and I-40E. NRA membership is required but you can join at the door.
