Now this person in India will go to SBI branch and give the SWIFT code of Bank of America New York branch. SBI will send a payment transfer instruction SWIFT message to the Bank of America New York branch. Once Bank of America New York branch receives the message, it will transfer the money.There is one more technology CBS-Core banking solution- where all the transactions are recorded internally.According to news report it is possible to bypass the CBS system and that’s what PNB officials colluding with Nirav Modi’s companies have done.SWIFT is like any other payment system, like a NEFT or RTGS, and how the CBS and SWIFT are connected depends entirely on the bank. SWIFT is under the control of bank managers and some manual intervention is required whenever any payment has to be transferred and that is where fraud has been done.Most banks follow a routine of monthly reconciliation between SWIFT and core banking transactions.The LoU has to be entered into the core banking system as credit, and not just when the foreign bank branch claims that money. (The family are forbidden to cook and so they are fed by their community further strengthening bonding and community cohesion.)The formal termination of mourning with bathing, shaving, hair-cutting and dressing, donning of new clothes and cosmetic products and the provision of a feast of thanksgiving to all the relatives and friends who supported the family throughout the dying, death and mourning process.Then we have the annual memorial ceremonies to commemorate the deceased and to express perpetual gratitude for being part of our lives.All pretty much rational I would think.
