Much of what we see is computer graphics. Real humans are heavily made up. They shoot in front of a green screen. Usually none of these singers can play an instrument, much less carry a tune. Most were chosen because they’re cute, or relatable. So their voices are heavily doctored.Frankly, the life of a pop idol is grueling. They work long hours and don’t get paid much. The production company runs their lives. They can’t even date. There are several examples of girls who get kicked out of these idol mills for having a boyfriend.I hear similar anecdotes about the k-pop world in terms of the grueling schedule only.There’s also the dark underbelly of the pop world where girls are funneled into porn when their career starts to slow down. Why not just make a group of fake girls who never grow up, never get tired, and can’t get exploited?Deep Fake is a good thing for young women in Japan.

The Roman Empire at its height spanned three continents, so there inevitably were a lot of people of different skin tones.Rascism, as by its definition, insinuates that one regards others as inferior because of belonging to a different "race". This school of thought, in which humans were not seen as one race without subspecies, but as a species with different subspecies which differ fundamentally, and in which the supposed qualities and weaknesses might classify a "race" as inherently superior or inferior, only took root in the mid-19th century.Before this time, people did not have these notions. Especially in the Roman Empire, one was judged more by the societies from which one hailed (i.e Phoenician, Greek, Mauretanian, Celtic)However, anyone could become a Roman citizen, regardless of skin-colour or upbringing.Yes, there were gruesome cases of institutionalized poverty, of slavery, of public opinion swaying against a group of people, and wven of prosecution of minorities. However, these were based on other factors such as religion, of people conquered in war and sold as slaves, and of people in debt essentially becoming slaves. These things, however, had nothing to do with rascism. It was just the law of rule by the strongest.Remember that rascism is not a word that can be used by anyone who is disadvantaged because of any reason. Rascism is the specific disadvantaging of people because of the colour of their skin and the supposed inferiority of the supposed "race" they belong to.And rascism sucks. There are no genetically inferior people on this earth (except perhaps for inbreds with reccesive genes), and the Romans did not even know about the theory of evolution, let alone the notion that humanity might be subdivided into different sub-species. It had to do with religion, politics, and money. Which might be equally as heinous, but not rascist.
