He can give only good wishes, good luck and provide funds to space-related projets; and encourage space exploration.For your information, unfortunately Apollo-13 of USA was crashed in space in 1970, does it means, Richard Nixon, at that time, President of USA, could stop Apollo-13 from crashing?In 2003, Space Shuttle Columbia of USA also unfortunately crashed in space and an Indian Astronaut, Kalpana Chawla, among others, was killed in that crash. It means that at that time, USA President, George Bush could stop that crash.

I’ve answered this several times. Despite the efforts of the “true believers”, and the fact that the Roswell “incident” has resurrected a dying town into a major tourist draw….The entire matter should have been laid to rest when “Project Mogul” was declassified early in the 90s.But no, to the believers this is just part of the cover-up, and they are convinced there’s a crashed UFO somewhere….Let me recount.Back in the late 40s, we were mightily concerned about the state of Soviet research into “the bomb”. Recall there were no spy satellites then, no U-2 aircraft, no SR-71 spy planes.It was thought that perhaps if we couldnt’ see… We could listen. The idea for Project Mogul was pretty simple. Send up arrays of weather balloons, each carrying a “radiosonde”. A very sensitive listening device. This would transmit data about any Soviet bomb tests to receiving stations on the ground.Numbers of these arrays were launched. They consisted of a number of weather balloons, a balsa-wood cage/platform, the electronics package, and some Mylar-plastic film. Most of these simply crashed into the ocean after drifting around over the west coast.But one drifted back and landed in Texas.A rancher discovered the pile of broken sticks, brightly-colored plastic (they got the Mylar from a toy manufacturer) and electronics and thought it might be something from the local air base. He called, and a couple of lads came out with a Jeep and threw the stuff in the back and left.The guys put the stuff on the commander’s desk. The commander had been briefed on Projet Mogul, and knew it was highly classified. He called the intelligence boys who came out and collected it.Meanwhile, the rancher had been recounting his tale and it was already growing. “UFOs” were already in the public consciousness…“Could have been a UFO!” Air Force intelligence decided to feed into this story by denying anything of the sort, which of course made people believe it…. Exactly what they had hoped since the Soviets would dismiss this story as more American UFO nonsense. And it worked… The Soviets never apparently realized we were listening to their bomb testing.But the story never went away (much like other urban legends and myths) and now we have a whole “lore” surrounding the incident which has been fed into and conflated with TV shows, Movies, and lurid tales of abductions and so forth.Oh…. The town of Roswell “moved” the site of the actual “crash” because the rancher got tired of all the tourists. So it was transferred to a more tourist-friendly location….

1) Project management is really about risk management. Most people think managing a project is about things going as planned. A skilled PM is focussed on ensuring that things do not go wrong and/or minimizing the damage when they do. Any project can be successful with infinite budget, resources, and time. PMs are there to ensure they happen within the given budget, resources, and time.2) Always have a well defined scope from the sponsor. PMI says you always need a charter to be a project but that does not always happen in business. Sometimes it comes via a game of telephone from the C-Suite to a VP to the PM. Then other, high ranking, stakeholders add their input according to their agenda and you end up with a projet that is not what is intended. This has happened to every PM at some point and is called scope creep. It will crash a project faster than anything else.3) You know how good of a PM you are by how easy everyone else thinks your job is. People think you get all the high profile jobs and the exposure that comes with them but they are all easy and anyone can do it. Proper planning, management, skills, and experience make this possible. It is the best compliment a PM can get.
