How will the interview process be for IMSc courses at the University of Hyderabad? How many students are selected for the interview round and how many students write the entrance test for IMSc courses at UoH, all over India?
The 5 year- IMSc programmes offered by University of Hyderabad are in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Systems Biology, Optometry & Vision Sciences and Health Psychology.Out of these, the candidates interested in doing the Optometry & Vision Sciences course or the Health Psychology course need to attend the corresponding entrance examination. There is a common entrance test to select students to join the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Systems Biology programme. Let us call these four subjects as the ‘basic sciences'.To sum up about the examinations, there are three different examinations that you need to write in order to get admission into the IMSc programmes at University of Hyderabad: One for the Basic Sciences, one for the Health Psychology and the other one for the Optometry and Vision Sciences course. You need to appear only for one of these exams, depending on the programme of your liking. As far as I understand, all the IMSc programmes have an intake of 16 students per year, that totals up to 64 Students for the basic sciences courses and 16 each for Health Psychology and the Optometry & Vision Sciences course. The details of the intake and the entrance tests is clearly mentioned in the admission prospectus that is available for download at acad.uohyd.ac.in.After the entrance exam is conducted, the University will publish a rank list with about 200 or 300 names (I'm not sure) who have cleared the entrance test. If you are one among these names, then you are halfway through the admission procedure. What is left is the admission counselling process, for which you will have to be physically present at the University campus on a date that they will announce. You need to come prepared with all the documents like marksheets, TC, Migration Certificate, the caste certificate, and what not (Full list of certificates available in the prospectus). On the day of the admission counselling, the students will be called one by one in the order according to the rank list. You get to choose your subject during this procedure. If at some point the seats for one subjects is fully filled, that subject can not be chosen by the next people. Even if you do not get to choose a subject of your liking, choose the subject that is available at the moment, and you will get a chance to change your main subject after the admission process is done. The admission counselling is a process just to verify your certificates; no subject experts will be present at the panel to interview you per se; therefore the only test you're taking is the entrance test that you have cleared already.Regarding the number of students who write the IMSc entrance exams, we are expecting more than 10,000 students to appear for the tests this time. The numbers have always been increasing; so is the competition.Study well!

Although Amity University, do have other medical courses such as Optometry and Pathology, they do not have an intake for MBBS course. So there is no admission for MBBS course, to add further to your comment in your question, no where in India can one secure a MBBS seat without NEET appearance/results, it is a necessity.
What are some tips for going to Polytechnic (Singapore)?
I'll make this short and sweet, because I only want to touch on the important factors. Polytechnic is the end of the road, unless you are a merit holder. That means you are the top 5% of your cohort, and you can go to university. Don't waste time on CCA. You are not going to get much points to help you gain anything, it's more for the interest and exposure only. Universities are not going to see what cca you took part in, GPA is all that they see. Unless you are on national level in whatever sports, then that's a other story. Now I will touch on the most important part. You can forget everything I said here, but DO remember what I'm saying for this part. Don't pick a course because of your peers. What you pick in poly, is going to determine what kind of jobs you will end up after your graduate. Example: if you take engineering, you can work in the engineering sector and also the bank. But if you took business course, u can't enter engineering. Don't pick a course because you have interest in. It may sound silly but it's true. Example: Legal studies in Temasek Poly. Sound prestigious and the cut off points is pretty low as well, so it should be a good course right? Not necessarily! When you go into the work force, you will realise that the number of job vanacies are very little. This is how poly works, when a student graduates from O levels and wants to enter poly, most made the mistake of going for the lowest points courses. Because they have the mentality that the lower it is, the better it is. Others can’t get in, but I can; so I'm good. Let me remind you, this is not JC or PSLE. It's not like you get the lower mark for O levels then better. Then can go to RJC or HCJC, or PSLE; higher points then can choose any schools you desire. The Poly cut off points are tied to the job market! If you choose optometry from Singapore Poly, perhaps that course only needs 6 points, that actually means that the optometry industry is very small and thus the hiring are much lesser. That's why it doesn't make sense for the school to have a big intake and in the end 99% of them can't find a job. Same goes for engineering, the cut off point is high, that's because the industry needs lots of Engineers. So in summary, don't think you go to a Low cut off point course means that you are going to earn big bucks when you graduate. Be smart and look ahead. Ride on the economic wave and see which industry will set to grow, then you can consider to study that particular courses
