I had to wait until I went back to NY to get a new ID.If you are homeless, staying with friends/family, living in a shelter, couch surfing, etc… you have none of these and cannot get a Texas state ID.Some of the other acceptable forms of voter identification may be easier for certain individuals, but this is hardly a “minor hassle”.
