Hola!This show gets so cringe worthy sometimes that it’s unbearable.1. INEQUALITY BETWEEN MEN AND WOMENThroughout the show, the women in the society are portrayed as aadarsh and always listening to their husbands and never arguing. It could be seen as a lack of equality. None of them work which is quite unbelievable in a city like Mumbai where it is difficult to live off the salary of only one member of the family. The women are always seen as doing tasks typical to women like cleaning, cooking, etc. Even Daya never eats with her family and is always serving them before eating. I understand that this is how many Indian households operate, but a show like TMKOC has an opportunity to portray to the public that women too can look forward to their hopes and dreams instead of just sacrificing them for their husbands.2. STEREOTYPESIt relies on stereotypes too much. This is a given: The Gujarati had to be a businessman, the Tamilian had to have bad Hindi and speak in an accent, and the Punjabi had to be over-enthusiastic and always wanted to drink alcohol and party. No one behaves like this in real life. Even Daya’s obsession with Garba plays into the stereotyping.3. SIMILAR STORIESIt got boring. Since TMKOC is a sitcom it’s supposed to be funny with new jokes. Nevertheless, it never discovered anything deeper. Every character has their so-called takiya kalaam which has been the same since the beginning of the show. The writers never discover any new aspects every which I hate. They can focus on teenage struggles beyond education and marks such as crushes, depression, etc. They can also focus on aspects of Popatlal beyond his marriage like his job. They barely add or remove characters which would make the show so much more interesting.4. THE PORTRAYAL OF IDEAL SOCIETIESTMKOC doesn’t portray a realistic world and it gets too preachy and idealistic which is annoying. Bapuji is always preaching about the ideal person one should be. He always gives these parivartan punishments to people which in the real world would never work. The show also tries to make statements showing how good every character is. Like how Tapu Sena leave their exam preparation and teach poor kids in one series. Though it’s a nice gesture by them, things would not work like this real-life, yet directors and producers portray it as something that should inspire young generations. In my opinion, young generations are not inspired by such preaching rather they are inspired by real stories and rawness. They are shown to be so perfect that it hurts my eyes.5. ALL-ROUNDER TAPU SENANo matter whether it is about arranging any function in the society or about planning a foreign trip or about fighting with goons or catching criminals even when the police can’t. These kids can do everything. They are doing it since they were ten years old. I've never seen this kind fake things apart from Salman Khan’s shitty movies. Tapu is so generous and humble that he always addresses himself as a third person and named his friend group after himself, Tapu Sena. I wonder how my friends will react if I name our group as ‘Shruti and Friends’!6. OTHERSI don’t know why makers are so cruel with this guy Popatlal. They aren’t getting him married since last ten years. This man is dying to get married since the beginning of the show, he has even met with more than ten prospective brides but at the end they either turn out to be clever criminals or already in love with someone else.Champak Lal dominates and insults Jethalal infront of everyone most of the times and when Jethalal scolds Tappu then he stops Jethalal for doing so, hypocrisy at its best.Jethalal is so down to Earth that though his annual turnover is almost a crore but he still doesn’t have a car and travels by auto. Apart from Bhide and Sodhi no one owns a vehicle.To Anjali eating healthy food means just eating green. Things like carbohydrates, proteins, fats and fibre are no longer necessary. She always give diet food to Taarak Mehta such as karela ki sabzi, tulsi ka soup and mix salads.A patent scene in the show is that whenever someone asks the society members something all of them start speaking at the same time which leads to a great irritating chaos and then the person shuts them up and asks them to speak one by one. This thing has been shown so many times that it has become very lame.The garba done by society members whenever something good happens.Even after 12 years, I’m still trying to figure out why everyone stands in a semi-circle or a line in the compound. And they’ll always stand in groups like men will stand together, women will stand together far from the men, and kids too. I get it, you are conservative, but seriously women can’t even stand mixed up with men?Taarak-Anjali and Babita-Iyer have no children despite their long marriage. They are the real heroes of India. They’re very aware of the overgrowing population of the country and that’s why maybe they both have done vasectomy.Iyer is sometimes shown to be talking about spaceships suggesting he is a rocket scientist but then he is always shown working with test tubes and chemicals in his labs. Iyer is the greatest scientist of all time.In the show only Gujarati foods and tradition is shown, though they boast to show that all religions live like a family in Gokuldham but Gujaratis are the centre of concentration in the show. Ahmedabad ki shaan, the city of EVERYTHING. If a foreigner watches this show and then be asked ‘what is the capital of India?’ They might answer Ahmedabad.A son in law never met his Great saasu maa for a decade, even when they share a good relationship. Mother-in-law is so busy doing social work that she doesn’t even have a day to meet them.The women of the society make a big issue whenever the men want to drink alcohol. This is way beyond over acting, they act such a way as if their husbands are going to do drugs and bring girls. Men shouldn’t drink alcohol even once in a year, forget about ‘only on occasions’. Or else, they will be addicted and ruin their life. The most important lesson the show taught.Jetha flirts with Babita but instead of Iyer and Mehta, nobody is still aware about this. Even his wife Daya is still unaware about his behaviour towards Babita. And it seems as if Babita loves this and doesn’t raise her voice against this.The society got renovated multiple times, has its own big Club House, a Mandir, garden and office yet no watchman or CCTV.Whenever they celebrate any festival, society members are asked to perform dance without any preparation and they all nail it with great choreography. The cricket! The society members are so talented that the GPL is broadcasted live on television.7. ILLOGICAL SCENES(a) Once Tapu Sena bunks college for a day to go to the mall with their college friends. Something that which we all do during our college days. Now their parents find out about this. In normal cases the most that a parent would do is explain their child that this is not a good thing and should not become a regular practice. These things don’t even require yelling. And what did their parents do? They organised a full-fledged award show to felicitate their kids for their act. WTF! Imagine your parents publicly shaming you for an innocent mistake. Imagine what such a thing can cause on the child’s brain. What kind of parenting is this? The kids were made vulnerable. They were embarrassed.(b) Another really shit plot story they had was when Jethalal & family decided to have dinner together to maintain family harmony. Nice! Life sometimes especially in big cities is hectic. Family hardly gets time to speak to each other. Now, the first day when they decide to implement this plan, Jetha gets busy at his shop and forgets about the plan. This is a very natural human behaviour. Don’t we also tend to forget things at times? Champaklal first refuses to let Daya call and remind Jetha about this dinner. Then he keeps waiting in frustration for his son. His son on the other hand, mind you is genuinely busy has dinner with his client. Something again which most of us often do right? And then he returns home. In his society, the society members are on ground spending an ordinary evening. He stops to greet them, something again we all do. And then comes his annoying father. He screams on his son from the balcony in front of the society members. This is embarrassing. Imagine your parents doing this to you in public. He comes home and his father continues bursting on him. He finally retaliates that he forgot but it is not such a huge deal that he embarrass his son like this. He very maturely tells his father that this isn’t a good thing to scream in public, especially like this at an adult son. Is it wrong? Just because someone is old doesn’t mean they are right. Further to this, the father decides to never speak to his son. And the son tries everything to make his father happy by doing smaller things but.Anyways, this show will always be special to me for making me laugh during my childhood years.Edit: thank you for 500+ upvotes!💕Thank youShruti Khare ♡

It bolsters my long-held belief that he did not think he would win (and therefore releasing his returns would have been moot) and that when he did, he realised that the information was at odds with what he had claimed.We knew he was a liar before he took the oath of office. And he has had no problem telling lies while in office, more than 30,000 (he is the only national figure in the world, and probaby the universe, to have a web page dedicated to his lies). And his supporters don’t seem to have had a problem with it so the question is why is he so afraid of this lie about his finances being outed?The only reasonably explanation is that they expose him to legal jeopardy.Secondly, much has been made of the fact that he has been audited often and that his tax returns have been prepared by a team of experts. Therefore, the argument goes, there cannot be anything wrong with them or it would have come out in the wash. They have been gone over with a fine toothcomb.Really? When my accountant used to prepare my returns, he depended on my giving him all the relevant information. And if I decided to leave something out or inflate or deflate the number or value of my assets, he would not know. Accountants file returns per client instructions and using the data provided by the client.Michael Cohen, T****’s long-time personal lawyer has testified under oath, that the president routinely inflated assets when seeking loans and deflated them when buying insurance. The key worlds in the statement are under oath. If Cohen lied, he opens himself to perjury charges. T**** has never said anything under oath and it is a key reason why he will not appear to testify where he is required to take an oath.There is a video of him being deposed over Trump University and he evades a straight answer like a Mafia don. He’s so crooked, he could hide in the shadow of a corkscrew.And audits are not financial investigations; they will catch out the obvious cheats but no government can afford the resources to thoroughly investigate its biggest taxpayers. That is a job for a specialist team like set up by the likes of the SDNY who are tasked to look specifically for something and in conjunction with other financial information such as insurance premiums and loan applications.The lie that the investigations into T**** are partisan and the Democrats are out to get him and have been from the beginning needs to be nailed. For if this this even remotely true, then the US has been, is, and will be a failed, tinpot banana republic rivalling the worst in the world.

Question: “Has anyone successfully received compensation from a car wash that ripped a body part off of their car while using it properly?”Yes, and the experience was interesting. But I would not recommend other people doing it. Let me explain.I owned a new GMC Z71 SLT 4-WD Sport Truck. Kind of like this:The dealer called it a “cowboy Cadillac” and it was perfect.Took it to a full service car wash…one of those where you get out of your truck, they chain it to a conveyor, and you watch through glass windows while it is pulled through the car wash with its tires guided between metal rails.The truck directly in front of me in the line was jacked up and had extremely wide tires that extended way beyond the wheel wells. This thing was WIDE…much wider than the car wash was designed for. But the guy connecting vehicles to the conveyor hooked this truck up anyway.When this truck with oversize tires is three-quarters way through the carwash we hear this loud screech as the wide truck squeals to a stop with its tires stuck between the guide rails. My truck is at least a full vehicle length behind the stuck truck, the conveyor is moving slowly, but the operator does NOT turn the conveyor off. My truck, pulled by the conveyor, rams the stuck vehicle denting my front bumper.Open and shut case, right? Their fault. They put a dent in my truck. They buy me a new bumper, right? Not in the world of sleazy small business! The owner: 1) denies there is a dent; 2) denies they caused it; 3) denies any liability; 4) becomes belligerent; 5) demands that I get off of his property and prevents me from talking to any employee, customer, or witness to the accident, claiming that he has the right to do that on his property. (Cop won’t stop him from asserting that right.)I had called the cops. The cop says there is nothing she can do, but in an aside tells me that she gets calls to this car wash a lot and the owner has a reputation for not paying for damage. I decide to file a small claims action in court.This is where the fun begins and I learn: 1) small claims courts stack the deck in favor of local businessmen/political contributors; and 2) small businessmen are generally not too bright and rely heavily upon not paying their bills and intimidation; and 3) with persistence and effort you can win in small claims court. It’s just that it may not be worth the effort.I was more than prepared to present my case. I was familiar with court procedure. I had the police report. I had photographs of the damage. I had photographs of the other vehicle involved in the accident. I had photographs with measurements showing where an impact between those two vehicles would dent my truck. I had three written estimates from auto-body shops noting what it would cost to replace my bumper. And I had the receipt for the amount I had already paid to have it replaced.Small businessmen seldom pay for damage they cause. They have lots of tricks to avoid responsibility. First of all, on my first court date it was obvious that the business owner knew and appeared to be friends with the judge, the clerk, and the bailiff. I was an outsider. I presented my case and tried to present my evidence. The judge refused to let me testify as to any damages or to show how that damage happened or to accept my photographs or my estimates or receipts as I “was not qualified as an expert witness”. The business owner’s statements without any evidence were accepted. I asked for and got a continuance.At the next court date I showed up with the expert witness the court had demanded, a certified auto-body technician who had seen and worked on my truck. He might have done this for me as a favor, but I knew he had a family and I paid him $150 for his time. Both the businessman and the judge were surprised that I had the required expert witness. So the businessman, knowing he would not be able to refute the testimony of my witness, asks the judge for a continuance. A normal practice of corrupt businessmen is to ask for a continuance each time the plaintiff is ready to have his case tried and ask for an immediate trial if, for some reason, the plaintiff dioes not have his witnesses available or cannot appear. The judges let them do this.On the next trial date I again show up with my evidence and my expert witness. Again I paid the guy $150 for his time. On this date, or maybe the judge granted the businessman another continuance, we get a trial. My evidence is overwhelming and my expert witness is good and counters every one of the businessman’s specious claims. I win a judgement. Good, no? Not really.My costs so far not only involve my time for several court appearances and trips to the courthouse, and a lot of time to prepare the case, and filing fees, and fees charged by the sheriff to serve the businessman with his notice to appear in court, and photo expenses, and at least $300 in witness fees. But the judge throws all of these out. My judgment is only for the cost of the bumper.Now I have to collect. But a judgement is only a piece of paper. In open court the businessman tells me he is not going to pay. The court will do nothing to persuade him to pay. As the judge told me, that’s my problem.I go down to the courthouse again and give more money to the clerk and fill out all of the forms to file a lien on the businessman’s property. Then I pay a fee to the sheriff to serve this demand upon the businessman who has refused to pay a court judgement.Well I finally did get a check from the deadbeat for the amount of the judgement reimbursing me for the cost of the new bumper, but only that. How that worked is that the sheriff showed up at the guy’s place of business and threatened to start taking office equipment away that equals the value of the judgement unless the businessman pays up. He wrote the check.After considering all of my costs I came out somewhat better than even. I learned that a lot of small businessmen are crooks, and I am even more cynical about judges and courts. Let’s say it was a learning experience.(Note to anyone contemplating his own small claims case: Small businessmen frequently use corporate devices to hide both their identity and their ownership interests. The court requires that you provide them with names and addresses that the businessman may be hiding. I had to engage in subterfuge to get the information required. Additionally, small businessmen can, and do, hide income and assets so as to make themselves, at least on paper, judgement proof. They claim to have so little money and so few assets that it is not worthwhile to sue them. When doing pro-bono legal work —these were child support cases—my attorney wife frequently encountered small businessmen who took lavish vacations with their girlfriends, lived in expensive houses, and drove Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7-Series cars, but claimed to be earning $15K per year. Forensic accountants always found lots of hidden bank accounts.)
