Army Sworn Statement: Fill & Download for Free

I have debated answering this one. I was working for the police dept. for a large hospital (yeah, very large facilities may have their own cops) 4 badly mannered teen visitors were leaving, having been tossed out by the nursing staff. On their way thru the parking lot, they decided to have some fun with a young black man walking thru the parking lot by himself. They snapped a radio antennae off a parked car- and as the young black man was opening his car door, hit him from behind with the antennae. Bad move.Man they hit was home on leave, stopped by to visit his grandma in the hospital. He was an Army Military Policeman. 82nd Airborne. His nightstick was in the car he just opened.We got to pick up the pieces, put the 4 visitors in jail, and buy the young MP a cup of coffee. WRONG MAN!EDIT: Due to several requests for more information: One of our officers on patrol noted a disturbance in the parking area, radioed for a backup and headed for the disturbance. On getting there, he found the MP had put two on the ground, one had a dislocated elbow, and he was grappling with the 4th one. we sorted out what was happening, verified identities, recovered the snapped off antennae, and placed 4 under arrest. The MP, who would only be in the city for a few days went with us to the magistrate, and made a sworn statement for record.The judge fined them $200 each, along with 30 days in the city jail. They got off lightly for a 4 on 1 attack.

It depends upon the female.I had several different experiences with female sailors and soldiers in my military career. First off, sailors.The goodWe had a couple females that knew their job and didn't screw around. This was on the USS Carl Vinson on West Pac 2001. These two worked hard and were able to train other sailors on how to repair the equipment in the shaft alleys.The badThe bad was this female who thought she was the most attractive woman in the world. On a ship outnumbered significantly by men, she didn't need to be all that to get attention. Anyways, she always had a migraine when any work was needing to be done. The rest of the time she tried to buddy up to any senior NCO or Officer in order to avoid going to the shaft alleys. I traded her off as soon as I could.The Army.I was deployed with the Headquarters Company of the 116th Engineering Battalion. In Iraq, things just got weird.The GoodSgt. Brook Knudson. She was what every soldier should have been. Under fire, she kept cool and maintained her lane. She even got a private that was running around like a chicken with its head cut off to get into his position and stay there. On the convoy through Iraq, she volunteered to be the convoy’s radio operator. If Ihad to go war, I'd want to be with soldiers like her.The badWow, there were a lot of these. We had a married specialist that was sleeping with the captain in order to get out of work (captain kicked out, she was NJP to Pfc).We had a specialist that decided that she was in love with an Iraqi. She was caught on a cellphone given to her by said Iraqi, informing him where we were going and what we were doing.Then we had medic newly married. Medic Newly Married decided that sleeping with our Ssgt was more important than that little thing called being a F$#&ing medic.Why was this a big deal?Myself and 4 others were injured (with 2 having to be medically retired) when a coordinated attack on our convoy resulted in a car approaching the rear the same time as a car entered the convoy and stopped, (trying to isolate the last vehicle). This was not a routine convoy with the route decided just before we took off. Capt Sleepover failed to report the incident. Ssgt Affair refused to call it in or provide transportation to the field hospital on the word of Medic Newly Married. Medic Newly Married states that I had a slight concussion (I was knocked out and woke up puking) and specialist vegetable just had a slight bruise. She quickly departed to Ssgt Affair’s CHU. Three days later with the constant headache I made it to the Field hospital on Kirkuk Air Base. I had spacing in my spine and a head injury (later diagnosed as a Traumatic Brain Injury with seizures and 12 herniated discs). Specialist Vegetable became a vegetable after a blood clot from his leg turned into an embolism. To top it all off, since no paperwork was filed, the only record of the incident was my medical records from three days later. This meant neither Vegetable or I was given a Purple Heart and Vegetable’s family had to fight to prove his injury was military related (a copy of my medical history and a sworn statement finally allowed him to receive benefits). All because we had too many people focused on BS high school antics rather than acting like soldiers.

A lot of non-military answers that almost got it right. In the army, we say roger for understood. Roger that is a colloquialism that some cowboy kid who watched too many Hollywood movies might use in conversation, but is never used on the radio ie. on the net (the most formal and official medium of communication, followed by perhaps sworn statements).Copy (on the net) is most often used as part of the phrase how copy, asking essentially “how are you reading me?” or “did you catch my last transmission?” to which an affirmative reply would be lima-charlie (LC), an abbreviation using the phonetic alphabet for loud and clear. A negative reply (to keep concise, for all radio communication should be concise) would be say again so that the sender of the radio transmission in question would repeat what last they said. Repeat is vehemently avoided to make sure no-one mishears a request to repeat an artillery action such as a follow up to fire for effect, etc.Copy that in informal conversation is synonymous with roger that for all you Hollywood rangers out there.NB. this answer is strictly for the US Army. I’ve heard other services (as well as NOGOs and reversists) say some wacky things that a soldier should never say.
