What human food can I feed my puppy?

These human food maybe not recommended for dogs in western world, but that what I fed my first dog when I was in Ambon. When I returned from Vancouver, Canada, I was living alone in a new house. I was a little bit scared to live alone, so I asked my cousin for a dog. When I took my first dog Bule at the age of 6 weeks from my cousin, she said that Bule likes to eat kue PIA (with mung bean filling see the photo ) so I had to feed him one.My friends and neighbor were surprised when I told them what I fed my dog. It was a luxury for them. For me, my dog was my companion in good time and in bad time. I would not mind at all sharing any food with her. She was the best dog I’ve ever had.Bule loves any food that I ate. Our afternoon routine were sitting in front of the TV with hot tea and enjoying the cookies bellows. I fed him freshly made PANADA cookies (with tuna filling). I made my own panada, so when I ate PANADA, Bule would ate as well. She loves FRIED PEANUT with garlic, CHOCOLATE PUDDING with Jamaican rhum and Vanilla or chocolate cake with almond topping. She loves fried peanut with garlic, Kaasstengels cookies with cheese and NASTAR cookies with homemade pineapple jam. She would never missed catch a single peanut. She was a true retriever. For Bule, my food was always good. Whatever I ate, she would ate as well. Yellow rice (cooked with coconut and turmeric) and with sambal (hot chili paste with tomato, shallot and freshly squeezed lemon juice) and fried tuna fish. I cooked her own food porridge with KATOK leaves and tuna head. Sometimes, when I was to lazy, I would give her whatever I ate. Gnemon leaves with bambo shoot cooked with coconut milk was her favorite as well. Fried smoked tuna, spicy KOKOHU (traditional Ambonese food with tuna, green bean, mung bean sprout, Indonesian bay leaves, shredded coconut). She never got sick until her death because of MSG poisoning from people who wanted to steal him for his meat. That’s Bule’s tale, my first spoiled dog that ate everything I ate. She was also the best guardian dog. She would notify me when someone was too close to my front terrace.RIP Bule Feb 2003 - March 2011. You were always in my heart.Bule (2003- 2011)Kue pia, the first 6 weeks Bule favorite food besides her mom’s milk (Image from Google)Kaasstengels cookiesNastar cookies with homemade made pineapple jam.Fried peanut with garlicChocolate cake with almond toppingPudding (agar-agar) cream cheeseChocolate pudding with sauce (Jamaica rhum and vanilla), she would sprint to me when I call her by tapping the spoon on the bowl (Image from Google).Kue Panada with tuna fish filling inside, freshly made and fried for afternoon tea, was Bule favorite as well (image from Google)The green leaves KATOK that I added for Bule porridge with Tuna head (Image from Google).Tuna with lemon grass, bay leaves, lemon and chili pepper was her favorite as well.Homemade KOKOHU with lots of tuna fish and hot chilly pepper. So delicious especially when you made with love.Bule would love these food. Especially fried smoked tuna. So delicious.Note: All the pudding made from agar-agar (the seaweed). Fish is the staple meat in Ambon. I rarely eat beef when I was in Ambon. We could eat 1 kg of fresh fish daily.

How do foreigners view Indonesia?

I've been living in Bali for the past three years, so I can compare it to my previous western experience (in France mostly). For me living (and working) in Indonesia is a permanent roller coaster of emotions. One day you are happy to drive with no road rules, the next one you go close from dying and reconsider. One day you are glad to live in a tropical country, after a while you miss the cold air when you opened your window back in Europe. One day you think that people are the nicest on earth, the next one you meet a racist one that tells you that Bule are the cause of all their problems. You love the diverse local food, but you would be ready to sell your TV for one slice of French cheese. You think you got the perfect team at work, and the next day one of them decide to screw everyone over and disappear. You think you are finally getting the administration system, and then the law changes 3 times in one month. One day you think you like animals, the next day you have a snake in front of your house and think maybe you don't like them THAT muchOne day you are glad to have found a cheap kos, the next day it's raining both outside and insideYou sold your left testicle to buy an internet connexion, and you realise the next day that your phone is actually faster for 10% of the cost. You laugh that some people are so chill/laid back that it makes them totally unreliable but in a very funny way. Until you need one of them and it becomes a lot less funny. You are glad when someone tells you something will be done tomorrow, even though you know tomorrow is a very long timeframe here. You love the spontaneity of most people but fail to understand why they don't plan anythingYou have a million projects (business idea, home etc…)but since you are foreigner you can't own anything like that without borderline arrangementsYou are so glad to go back in France for holiday, and then you are so glad to come back in Indo.I think the list could go on forever! All in all my view is that Indonesia is a beautiful country filled with many different people. It can be a great challenge to grasp the culture, the way of thinking and working when you are a westerner, but it can only make you richer and broaden your views on life. Many talk about an “organised chaos” and I fully agree. Life here is a bumpy ride, but you still go from point A to point B, so go with the flow !For work (and life if you are in a mixed couple) it can even be a good combination: my local coworkers always assume everything will be fine, and I always assume and plan for the worse: a balanced view!Living in Indo made me realize one thing: French people (especially myself) are completely temperamental!

I purchased a perpetual licence of PDF Element Pro after my copy of Acrobat X corrupted and I was unable to find the s/w key. Had an initial hitch, in which the s/w key didn't work (was for a previous version; however sorted after the Service Centre sent a new one). Once installed, I cannot fault the s/w. I admit I am not a heavy user; however PDF Element does everything I need without effort; eg: - convert PDF's to Word (including poor "PDF photos" taken by phone, - collation of photos into PDF's, - compressing large documents, - fill out PDF forms so I can recommend it as a cheap alternative to Acrobat.
