Albert Einstein once said, “Never Memorize Anything You Can Look Up”Frankly, he was right. I hope that no one tells you to memorize the periodic table. And, if they do. Just stare and nod your head and go on with your day. Sure it can be impressive, but it’s essentially useless if you don’t understand it.I highly suggest you learn the periodic trends as they are really important, even in more advance courses, you always refer somehow to the periodic trends. Here are a few important trends that I think are important to know if you want to study the periodic table.size of atoms as you move across and back, up or downfamiliarize yourself with the concept of electronegativity and you can apply it based on the periodic tablefamiliarize yourself with ionization energy (essentially the opposite of electronegativity) and the trend on the periodic table as you move your finger around each element.These are the core ones that are taught at introductory level.
