This is largely because humanity did not understand and most still do not understand the role of God or that God does not seek to control thought or ideas. Blasphemy laws enforced by individuals given power to enforce them who did not understand that current interpretations of the world were not necessarily accurate and considered anything that might diminish God in some way as blasphemy. The concept that anything could diminish God is a contradiction to what God is. Learning about, theorizing about, and reaching new conclusions about our world and how it works is not blasphemy. Galileo, and many others, would have fared better under this interpretation.God does not need humans to defend God. Blasphemy is a man-made concept created to enforce rules men want, not rules God insists be enforced.In my own work, which involves a great deal of science and spirituality, I am looking for a publisher for a manuscript I’m working on that demonstrates the scientific support that exists for many spiritual concepts. I’ve already collected the research needed to support many concepts. I just need an advance that affords me the luxury of time to finish the manuscript without having to worry about earning an income while I’m doing it.Since the Cartesian Split, science and religion or science and spirituality, are often separate. This has led us to a point in time when many scientists don’t understand spiritual concepts. As a result, when their work supports spiritual concepts they are oblivious to the ramifications of their published research. For some reason, this amuses me.I know a few scientists and researchers who have also studied spirituality. They relay that peer pressure to be quiet about spirituality as it relates to science is fierce.Combining any, or all, of these areas is possible. When choosing to study science, religion, or spirituality, do what interests you. That is where you will do your best work and find fulfillment.
