What is the creepiest TV moment ever?

A few answers have mentioned shootings or deaths on live TV. One that hasn’t been mentioned is:Christine Chubbuck, 1944–1974Chubbuck was a TV journalist at the time when local news was king and local newscasters were well known and popular in their cities. She was working the news desk in St. Petersburg Florida where she had quite a following. Unfortunately she had suffered depression and suicidal tendencies all her life. She was very lonely, longing for a boyfriend and a child. Sadly she had suffered health issues which could lead to reproductive difficulty and she had just learned that the man she was dating was in love with the station’s sportscaster. On July 15, 1974 Chubbuck gave her standard news reports and then addressed her audience saying:"In keeping with Channel 40's policy of bringing you the latest in 'blood and guts' and in living color, you are going to see another first—an attempted suicide."She shot herself with a revolver dying later at the hospital. In 1974 home recording was rare and the only footage was the station’s own tape. For years people inundated the station with requests to see it, but the station claims that it was destroyed. A few disputed reports have claimed that the station’s former owners or their attorneys still have it. In any case out of respect for Chubbuck’s family and out of decency it was shown only to officials during the coroner’s inquest and never shown again.Edit, some commentators have claimed to have seen the footage. Aside from being morbid, these people are misinformed. It is true that a video purporting to show the suicide turned up on You Tube. However, actual station personnel who worked with Ms. Chubbuck have seen it called it a fake. I have seen it and while I can see how a layman would be fooled, anyone with a passing knowledge of live camera techniques including myself called shenanigans upon its release. For younger viewers, in the 1970s live TV news broadcasts were single camera, and the YouTube fake was three camera like a regular TV show. There is a YouTube video that debunks the footage as well. There was also a film about Ms. Chubbuck’s life, Christine, 2016. There are clips from the film online and taken out of context might have confused some viewers who think that the suicide scene in the film is the real suicide. In any event, suicide and depression are an international epidemic and the lesson should not be a vain attempt to find the film but to realize that anyone, even beautiful, successful people may need help.Additional edit, there are still people using this post to promote the fake video and worse yet, there are insulting comments about the late Ms. Chubbuck, I have deleted those comments and am disabling further comments. The remaining comments are from sensitive caring people who deserve to be seen.

What is your review of Batman: The Killing Joke (2016 Animated Movie)?

I got a chance to watch “Batman: The Killing Joke” in a special theater engagement through Fathom Events. While the movie is intended as an original release to video, there were a couple of extras at the beginning of the film and at the end that were very cool.“Batman: The Killing Joke” is based on the classic graphic novel, of the same name, by writer Alan Moore and artist Brian Bolland. The movie mostly follows the original graphic novel for the last two thirds of the film, but the first third of the film is new material. The graphic novel is a short but daring classic story that presents what many believe to be the definitive origin of the Joker, and also completely changed the Batgirl character forever. Writer Alan Moore was on his top game and the illustrations by Brian Bolland are unbelievably beautiful and detailed. If you’re a fan of the graphic novel, you’ll be glad to know that most of what is in the original work has been included here. There are some elements that have been slightly watered down. Despite the fact that this is an R-Rated movie they have not attempted to push any boundaries at all. Because of that, the R-Rating seems like more of a marketing ploy than a necessity. While this is a mature-themed Batman tale, most of it is left to your imagination. The first third of the film focuses on Barbara Gordon/Batgirl who has taken up crime fighting with Batman for the thrill, and… because she’s got a crush on Batman. Let me pause and let that sink in for a moment. If you know how “The Killing Joke” ends, you’ll realize that the inclusion of this Batgirl storyline makes Barbara Gordon an even more tragic character. It also needlessly further victimizes her. I’m not well-versed in gender politics, but that seems rather tone-deaf in 2016.Also, I’ll note that Batman becomes a Bat Jerk when you date him.I really enjoyed the dialogue throughout the film. The first third was written by Brian Azzarello and it has some memorable scenes and lines. The last two-thirds follows the brilliant dialogue of Alan Moore, and the visual cues from Brian Bolland. Those of you who know the Warner Brothers original DC animated films will be familiar with the style of animation. “The Killing Joke” does not break from that convention. And by that, I mean that it’s fairly utilitarian. I will say that the backgrounds in this hand-animated film was a notch above their usual fare.Where “The Killing Joke” really shines is in the excellent score. And I do mean excellent. They sprung for some really good music in this adaptation and it elevated everything on the screen. We are also reunited with the voices of Batman (Kevin Conroy) and the Joker (Mark Hamill) from “Batman the Animated Series.” No one does the Joker like Mark Hamill. He even gets a chance to sing this time around and it’s brilliant!Tara Strong’s Batgirl is well done. I had some serious problems with Ray Wise’s version of Commissioner Gordon. Even before the horror starts Ray Wise missed the strength in his voice and it tarnished things for me when things went bad.The extras in the theatrical showing, which might be included on the video release, were an interview and retrospective with the cast and crew of “Batman the Animated Series,” and a look at how much work went into doing the score of “Batman: The Killing Joke.” Both were fun and informative. In some ways “Batman: The Killing Joke” was a step above the standard releases for DC animation. The story is definitely there, as are the voices and the soundtrack, but they missed an opportunity to make the story more poignant by building up Batgirl more positively, and I wish they had decided that this project deserved better animation because it would have made it much more special.

What's the difference between a deluxe music album and a standard one?

Anything. But, the most reliable difference is price. That is not always a guarantee, depending on the artist/band and where or when you are buying it, but it is the most common difference of all that I will list.Though many conventions feature only reissued albums as ‘deluxe’ items, some labels release ‘regular’ and ‘deluxe’ versions from the earliest months. Don’t dish out money before you know exactly what you’re getting—ask what is included, search online for what differences exist, or do some other sort of investigating before deciding on a particular version. Here are some of the things that come to mind which may differ between a standard release and a “deluxe” version of that release:Music:More songs, different versions of songs, or other bonus tracksPast releases, in full or in excerpt, oftentimes as separate discs (especially demos, singles, EPs, or analogue-only releases)Remixes, remasters, or alternate versions (takes, mixes, etc) of entire releasesVideo:Video content (like music videos, live excerpts, entire concerts, making-of featurettes, interviews, etc), whether on the same disc, a separate disc, or onlinePhysical:A different case, case design, or packagingDifferent album art, lyrics booklet, liner notes, or other insertsSignatures, hand-written notes, special or original copies of lyrics drafts, etcOther media formats of the same content (whether the main album or the extras)Bundles:Shirts or other clothing added inLighters, flasks, or other practical items added inPosters, artwork, patches, stickers, etcConcert tickets, backstage passes, or other stuff of that natureSpecial:Tracks, stems, effects, or other private or proprietary material for remix contests and other fan-participation promotions“Chance-to-win” sweepstakes, digital access codes, or other potentially unfixed content

Feedbacks from Our Clients

The handling of PDF documents is of the utmost importance in our publishing house, as it is the substantial basis of our academic, intellectual and musical productions. Globalization is not simply an isolated phenomenon, but a worldwide one, and this has had repercussions on the texts we previously had in books, since most of the materials we produce are in PDF format, as required by clients and international manuals of research methodology. Thanks to this software, our editorial line has been able to produce high quality documents thanks to the range of tools offered by the software. And one of the most valuable elements I can highlight of this software is the complete edition of PDF documents, giving us that necessary element of customization of our intellectual products that we need so much to differentiate ourselves from other publishers and other styles. Add photographs, corrected texts, footnotes, analysis charts, graphics and other elements that enrich our final products.
