Well, I hardly know what you might consider well-thought-out, but possibly people might get a pet from a reputable breeder because they would prefer a beautiful dog that—looks like the breed to which it supposedly belongs,—has nice structure so that it won’t suffer physical breakdown as it ages,—has parents with health certifications for the conditions prevalent in the breed,—was raised and socialized properly and has not suffered emotional trauma,—is having a home selected for it as an individual so that it will probably fit right into the family, rather than being handed over to any person with a checkbook and a random impulse to get a cute puppy,—is being placed by a breeder who will immediately take it back at any time if the owner suddenly becomes unable to keep it.Reputable, knowledgeable hobby breeders are the people producing these dogs.Essentially all dogs in rescue come from either backyard breeders or puppy mills. There are almost no exceptions because all reputable breeders take back their own dogs if necessary. The world is now filled right to the brim with dogs that are crippled young by obvious structural defects, bred from parents that any reputable, knowledgeable breeder could instantly see are not sound. Pet owners have no clue, and say, “Well, I guess Fluffy is getting on a bit,” when the only reason Fluffy has suffered breakdown and can no longer go for a hike is that her pasterns were terrible from the start and the owner did not notice. Or fill in the blank with many other common orthopedic problems: terrible rear angulation, weak hocks, herring gut, and so on.Puppy mills, of course, don’t care one whit about anything but money and are happy to keep dogs in viciously inhumane conditions. Because of the cachet of the term “rescue,” quite a few so-called rescue groups are actually fronts for puppy mills. This is almost always the case if the rescue group is placing many puppies, especially puppies under eight weeks old. All shiny websites representing so-called breeders who are placing five-week-old puppies are fronts for puppy mills. No reputable breeder would ever place puppies that young.Many other rescue groups that mean well serve as de facto middlemen for puppy mills, as they buy dogs at high prices at auctions, thus providing puppy mills with funds to purchase other animals to use in their horrible breeding farms. All animals in puppy mills come from other puppy mills or extremely careless backyard breeders, as no reputable breeder would ever sell a dog into a puppy mill under any circumstances whatsoever.So that is why many sensible people seek out reputable, knowledgeable breeders. They do it in order to maximize their chances of purchasing a healthy, beautiful, sound, untraumatized puppy.

the breeder of the puppy should be asking all of these questions during the interview of potential puppy owners . If they are not suitable the breeder shouldn’t sell their precious pups to them ! I interview and visit potential puppy owners homes . I put so much into my pups first 8 weeks of life - they listen to a special cd that exposes them to all sounds so they are desensitised to thunder, fireworks, screaming children etc . I ensure an array of people visit for handling and cuddles . I expect my puppy owners to continue their education to get well rounded, sociable and happy dogs. My contracts state that they must go to puppy socialisation classes for basic training. puppies are very hard work - you only get out what you put in . They are a blank canvas for us to teach them how to live with us in our homes. They do want to please us but we need to teach them what makes us happy and provide them with love and security . it saddens me to read about all these abandoned dogs with various issues .

Admittedly her time around Suzaku seems to convince her to lighten up a little on this point.Because she’s insane. Point blank. Need I say more on this?Because she invented the FLEIJA. The nuclear weapon which she designed to cause as large a wave of death and destruction as possible. Whenever the subject of the FLEIJA comes up she is all for using it. She frantically screams at Suzaku to use it as soon as Lelouch shows up. She is then surprised and horrified and traumatised when… people die. She is surprised that people were killed by her death machine, which she created to kill. She is surprised by this. …soooo stuuupid.Because she tried to blow up all of her innocent classmates due to the ‘subject of her affections’ (read: object of her obsession) being killed for (as far as she knows) being an evil manipulator who went on an insane massacre. She tries to kill all of her classmates for this. Because they are to blame… how?Because she gets all kinds of bitchy (screaming, personal attacks and accusations included, along with half-truths and straight-up lies) when Milly, who has spent her every interaction with Nina so far comforting her (the entire business before and during the hotel hijacking) or just generally being friendly, asks if she’s alright and offers to be there for her.Because you need to stop and really think to bring up any kind of positive qualities for her. …she’s smart, I guess. And dumber than a sack of rocks, but intellectually smart. I guess she becomes a better person in the final act, working with Lelouch to defuse the FLEIJA, offering a sort of olive branch and bringing herself some closure. All the other major characters, even the scummiest, most hateable, most evil, you can think up their qualities in a second.Charles? Wants to end the need for humanity to lie because he believes that this will end true conflict. Cares for his kids on some level even if he’s a massive dick about it. Still, he’s willing to drive twenty miles out of his way if there are puppies to be kicked in that direction.Schneizel? Wants to force the world into submission because he believes that this will create lasting peace. Intellectually cares for his siblings even if emotionally he’s dead inside. Still doesn’t blink about gunning down Cornelia, or blowing up 99% of his family, including all but four of his siblings (Lelouch, Nunnally, Cornelia, Marrybell), or turning Lelouch and Nunnally against each other to the point where she tries to blow him up with a FLEIJA, or the whole Black Knights mutiny debacle.Mao? He loves C.C. completely and will do anything for her. Ironically this is the source of his evil, but hey - res ipsa loquitur. Still mind-rapes Shirley and tries to get her to kill Lelouch, kidnaps Nunnally and straps her to a bomb to psychologically torture Lelouch and tries to chop C.C. up into a million little bits with a chainsaw so it’s easier to fit her into a suitcase.Cornelia? Loves Euphemia more than anything. Cares for her soldiers and her other siblings. Is a good soldier and commander. Still willingly massacres hordes of innocent people on the off-chance that it might draw Lelouch out, still commits dozens of other atrocities for the sake of expanding Britannian territory.Clovis? Loves his family and seems like he’s normally a pretty nice guy. Still enacts a genocide in Shinjuku to hide C.C.’s existence so he can grasp at more power.Rolo? Victim of circumstance raised to be a child soldier and stripped of all emotion for the most part, comes to genuinely love Lelouch and see him as a brother. Still performs assassination contracts, is complicit in Lelouch’s long-term mind-rape, spies on him, plans to kill him, then proceeds to murder Shirley and plan to murder Nunnally out of sheer jealousy.Lelouch (hey, I love the guy, too, but he does some pretty evil stuff himself)? Utterly devoted to his sister’s protection and happiness, actually cares for his friends, is genuinely tormented by the awful situation he’s put himself in, plans to end the tyranny of the evil Britannian empire, plans to sacrifice his reputation, his legacy, the love of his loved ones and his life (evidently fails at the latter with R3 coming out, or maybe succeeds and he comes back somehow, I don’t know) to end the hatred between the warring factions and create a world peace lasting long enough for his successors to try and build a truly better world helmed by people he trusts to make that better world. Still… does all aforementioned evil stuff - this paragraph is too long as it is.Nina? You actually have to stop and think up something good to say about her.She’s almost all bad.That’s why people hate her.
