PDF Editor FAQ

Is communal gun ownership a good alternative to gun control and ban?

*Ring ring*Bob: Yello?Me: Hey, Bob.Bob: Oh hey Liam. What’s up?Me: Not much, Bob, not much. Hey, I know it’s late but I need to ask a favor. As the President of the Communal Arsenal, you’re the only person I could think to call.Bob: Sure thing, Liam, but make it quick.Me: Well, I’m fairly sure someone is trying to break into my house. My children were awoken by the sound of shattering glass and are freaking out.Bob: Are you sure?Me: Yes. Pretty sure.Bob: Huh. Interesting. Did you call the police?Me: Yeah, but they said they wouldn’t arrive for 15 minutes. So I’m going to need to check out a firearm.Bob: Er… I don’t know.Me: Listen Bob, he just unbolted the door.Bob: Liam, I feel for you. I do. It is just that we’ve had some problems — people not returning guns, saying they lost them in a boating accident. This one guy, Jeff, shot a mugger with an overdue firearm the other day. Big, big mess. I was up until 4 AM doing paperwork. We’ve decided to withhold all firearms until further notice.Me: He’s walking up the stairs…Bob: Okay, okay, but you know I need to cover my own a*s. I’m going to fax you over a release of liability form. I’m also going to need you to send back a photo of your driver’s license and a picture of the intruder to prove you are actually faced with a threat.Me: Bob, I’m not sure I have the time.Bob: Then there’s really nothing I can do. Sorry. Although you can use your kitchen cutlery — the ban doesn’t go into effect until Thursday.*Line cuts out*

What are the greatest lengths you've gone to save a small animal?

5 years ago:At a stoplight, I saw an animal scurrying under cars at an intersection red light. It was dragging its feet behind it. It retreated under a bench.I was alarmed, it was obvious the animal was injured. I was on my way to work that day but I said screw it and pulled over.I parked near the bench it was hiding under. (A bus stop bench).Getting to it, the cat hissed at me, defensively. It was a feral cat, adolescent in age. It was propped up against the bench wall under it; one leg was bent at a bad angle. There was a CVS store right behind me. I walked in and asked for a brown box and a broom, which they graciously provided.I went and used the broom to gently shuffle the injured cat into my box. (I didn’t know if it was diseased or not). The vet for my dogs happened to be only two blocks back.Carrying the box, I walked down. The cat hissed the whole way.I pushed through the doors to the vet's office and carried the box to the front desk. I set it on the counter and said:~“I found this injured cat on the side of the road. It isn’t mine. Is there anything you can do?”They took the cat into the back room and had me sign some forms. One part of the form alarmed me. It stated that I was responsible for all financial costs associated with this cat. When I brought it up, the Vet Tech said it was just part of the liability form. I wouldn’t actually be charged, despite the form saying I would be.I took his word for it and signed. Which wasn’t necessarily smart.I hung out in for about 15 minutes. I texted my boss and said I’d be late for work. He was understanding. The Veterinarian then came out and greeted me.He thanked me for bringing the cat in. He said that unfortunately, the cat was in dire shape and needed to be euthanized. He showed me the X-Ray - the cat's spine was shattered, along with legs (had been hit by a car). It was bad.No - I don’t have a happy ending on this one.But I do take solace in the fact that the cat didn’t have to suffer as it would have otherwise. That cat would have laid under that bench in pain for days before passing.I failed to save the cat’s life. But I did save it from a lot of suffering that day.

I purchased the Dr. Fone software hoping I would be able to access my sons locked phone, the software was unable to unlock his phone. I contacted the support center, and verified this software was not compatible for my sons phone. They were quick to determine the issue and processed a refund right away. Thank you!
