Why Are Foreign Investors Pulling Out: Fill & Download for Free

This is a very bad and foolish step taken by Andhra Govt. CM Jagan Reddy has clearly mentioned that it will be applicable to all industries.He is doing this in Private Jobs and IT [1]also come under that.In my 7.5 years carrier in IT industry i have worked in North, South and West India.While i have met across lot of people being in Chennai, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune. I never came across people demanding any such kind of demand.Whether it is IT industry or any industry but this is a real foolish step. It reminds me of the saying of Americans, Indian Govt and Ministers should keep giving more and more reservation, and we will use their talent to run our big companies and build our nations.Why giving 75% let Jagan give 100% but what he gains, he should still remember that a lot of people form Andhra are working across India in different states, What if tomorrow they also come with these kind of laws. What will he achieve if those people start sending outsiders and keep their locals.Andhra after division lost much of the industries to Telangana. I don’t know what Jagan Reddy want to convey with these foolish step that train the people here if they are not fit.First of all why will these companies do so, why will they not move out when they can get better talents else where.This step will decreases the investments coming in Andhra more and much of the companies will pull out from here.These politicians, can’t come out with any better solution to improve economy , increase investment so what they do to keep their politics alive is this.First they divide us on name of Religion.Then they divide us on name of casteThen they created differences on name of reservations and promotions in jobs.Now they have nothing much left so they started reservations in Private Jobs.If he really wants to do something then build competencies in field of education, increase skills through incubation centres.These kind of step will ruin the chances of setting up any manufacturing base across different industries in India any more by any company.They should remain away from private players, other wise days will not be far when our economy will be more doomed. Much of the foreign investment are pulling out now after a tax surcharge announced in recent budget [2]and this will add more to that.Jagan should remember that diversity is what makes us apart from other nations. And he is trying to dent a hole in it.Even i would say this to same for KamalNath who is thinking of same in Madhya Pradesh.Pls don’t divide us. Our ability to reach unity in diversity is the beauty and test of our civilization.Edit:For people who are telling IT will not be affected in comments, this is for them. This reservation applies to PPP[3] . Public private partnership.Many IT companies are set up in the SEZ (Special Economic Zone) incorporated, they used the tax benefits infrastructure all procured. Now how does these SEZ are set up , even they are a part of PPP. Does IT companies not operate there. There is a saying in Chinese “成者為王，敗者為寇”, loosely translates to “winner takes all”.Obviously, if he and his people succeeded in the movement and make HK an independent country or return HK back to be a colony of UK (or US), he’d be a hero.But what is the likelihood of that? I would like to know if anyone seriously thinks that is a possibility.If that is not possible, then what will HK become after these kids’ riot and protests?The best scenario, HK goes back to normal, except there will be a bigger divide between pro-China and anti-China HK people. Foreign investors will now slowly pull out investments and jobs from HK because of the instability and long term risks.The worst scenario? China sees that one country two systems do not work and many HK people are pushing for independence or return to become a colony again, abusing the freedom provided by the Chinese government. China will simply take that freedom away, send a large army across the border, take over the government and install martial law.Under those scenarios, it is not hard to see if Joshua Wong is a traitor or hero.But my biggest question is why are HK people letting those little kids with no job, no family, and nothing to protect to be the hero or traitor and determine the fate of the city? Why do HK people with good jobs, kids, wife, and family to protect not stand up and demand stability and dialogs? Has HK become so bad and China become so intolerable that HK people are willing to risk it all?In the end, Joshua Wong should not be given too much credit or blame. That should go to the entire HK people.

The word stupidity was thrown around in the responses. The situation was not created by stupidity but by greed.China was a poor, backward country that foreign investors and corporations came to take advantage of. Along with the lack of development came a lack of legal infrastructure. No labor laws, no pollution laws,…. The communist nature left a void in intellectual property laws.China was not stealing technology. Stealing is a legal term. Everything that was done was legal. Those companies chose to do business in China, knowing that they did not have legal protection.They continued to do business in China because they were making more money than they were losing. Then things changed…inflation, labor costs, shipping etc…suddenly the losses seemed greater.China did not need to change their laws as the situation was not hurting them. Now they are feeling the pressure to change.If every company harmed by the lack of legal protection pulled out then the laws would change fast. If they are still in China its because the benefits outweigh the risk.
