When I was a teenager I was either a jokester or surly and holier than thou pointing out the foibles of the adults around me. I was in the latter mood on a family trip to Hawaii when we sat down at the restaurant. The waitress brought the menus and introduced herself as Carol. When she came back with waters and took our orders I looked at her name tag and noticed it read Susan.“I thought you said your name was Carol?” I said.“No it’s Susan,“ she responded.When she left, I turned to my family and kept talking about the switcheroo. “Carol and Susan sound nothing alike,” I explained. There's no way I could be mistaken.Nobody else recalled what her name was and wondered why I was making such a big deal about it. My dad gave me one of those looks as if to warn me this was not going to be another of my incidents to ruin a family outing. But I just wouldn’t drop it.“Something fishy is going on and I’m going to get to the bottom of it,” I said. She can’t pull the wool over my eyes.“I got up to go to the bathroom and wash my hands, but what I really wanted was a closer peek at that sneaky Carol/Susan. She was happily chatting with her colleagues behind the counter and looking at order slips and plates as if nothing untoward was going on.“What could be the purpose of this chicanery?“ I asked myself alone in the washroom. I couldn’t think of any advantage besides fooling the tourists. Even though it wasn’t my money, it was the principle of the thing. You don’t mess with people who come a long way and spend a lot of cash, a good part of it going to your salary. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you in a restaurant.I came back to the table to see that Carol/Susan was setting down our plates. When she came to me I made sure to look at her name tag. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Here I had caught her red-handed.“Powtip!?” I exclaimed.The waitress started cracking up.“There’s no way your name was Powtip before! Just what are you trying to pull here?” It was the beginning of a tirade that aimed to be better than that of Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith goes to Washington.But I stopped when I looked around and all of my family was laughing too. I was stunned and didn’t know why they were guffawing when we were the object of ridicule. It was then I learned the joke was on me.“We asked the waitress to change her name tag,” my Mom chimed in.“What, do you mean from the moment we entered the restaurant?“ I said. “But that doesn’t make sense…”“No,” Mom said. “From the moment you made such a big deal of it. You misheard her name at the start, and then you wouldn’t shut up about it. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard!“Upon leaving, my father set down double the usual tip for Powtip.

A graduated boy in our neighborhood, married a girl who had just finished pharmacy.The boy didn't get any job so he started a medical store in his wife's name. That's it. No smile, no talk, no effort nothing.But this boy is very friendly, whoever goes to his shop he speaks to them in a very respective manner, calls them uncle, aunt, sir, ma'am etc.If he doesn't have a tablet, he makes his brother to run errands to get from other stores and give the tablet in an hour.He works from morning seven to midnight, taking a small lunch break with little quality nap time in the store itself.He does home delivery of tablets, So most of the customers here doesn't prefer online purchase of medicines.He gives 5 to 10percent discount too, that makes his business more growing. Now he already purchased a three storey building by his profit.He has two more branches in other areas and many boys work for him now.When people get what they want and all their needs covered fulfilling their expectations they become regular loyal customers.Whatever small the business is, if you do hardwork with dedication, luck favours.Edit: When I told him that my friend in New York, was in need of the tablets for kidney stones very badly , the boy took responsibility and couriers it himself. I started my business with ₹100I had read so many answers on Quora that suggest one to start your own YouTube channel, write blogs, Affiliate Marketing etc.I think that requires a lot of patience. Those businesses require at least internet, a laptop/PC with a camera; requires qualified candidate. Additionally, it’s a financial risk.In my case you can start your business with only ₹100 if you model what I started 4 years ago.When I was in college I was able to pay my 1 lakh annual college fee from my business.When I was a student I had seen many people looking for accommodation.I thought, “I can make money from that.”I decided that this time I will and went downtown to roam around.I met a family that was seeking paying guests.I began a discussion with the family, collecting all information regarding fees, water supply, electric supply, and advance amount.The next day I woke up early morning and left with my laptop to start designing an advertisement of the room rental.In that advertisement, I had mentioned all facilities, fees, the room location, and my contact information. I finished and took the design to the Xerox shop for printouts.I pinned a lot on college notice boards.Within two days I received 50–60 calls!I made a list of all buyers.(approx.55)I told them about the room and my fee of ₹500 per person. The landlord was also made aware of that fee.I showed it to 4 guys, and one of them was ready to move in - completing my 1st deal by the end of the day!So now I had ₹1000 in my pocket with 54 tenant contacts, and the excitement that this is a potential goldmine!I appointed a local boy who was not very literate and didn't belong to my college.I told him I’d pay ₹50 per house found from searching for rental houses in the city and giving me the details with contact information.This time I was left with 40 potential buyers.I successfully made all 40 deals!I got 40×1000=40,000(+)Local boy reward 40×50=2,000(-)My initial investment was = 500(-)So I made total = ₹37,500This all happened in one month.Now I appointed two local boys.One to post advertisements in crowded areas and the other for finding the rooms.So I made around 12 lakhs in my academic years excluding employee payouts and initial investment.Now this time I bought a car for 5 lakhs as a business expense.I charge around 15,000/- per month.So my monthly income is 15000+35,000= ₹50,000.(including local boy payout, investment, car maintenance)Annual income is 6 lakh rupees without a job.Now I am working with MNC as engineer and my salary is 8 lakhs per annum.So my total annual income is 14 lakh per year.My work load is to manage employees and maintain the car.My Future plan is to open security agency services, man power supply, school buses etc. Soon I will make income beyond 25 lakhs per annum.
