Micromax was founded in 2000 while Lava in 2009 . Micromax launched a mobile phone with longest battery backup which was around a month and it grabbed attention. Then it started manufacturing low budget mobile phones and By 2010, Micromax was one of the largest domestic companies making handsets in the low-cost feature phone segment in India.It started providing Android mobile phones also in various ranges ( both low cost and high cost) . Android ranges started from around 2k-3k and with money features started increasing . This cost gave a tough competition to other companies like Motorola, Spice , Nokia and Samsung. Most of middle class persons could afford the cheap mobile phones and the company became one of the top mobile manufacturers and started various series with various price ranges. As a result by 2014 Micromax became the tenth largest smartphone vendor in the world and Micromax's sales in India exceeded those of Samsung while Lava was ranked 4th largest smartphone brand in the same year. On 24 January 2014, Micromax became the first Indian mobile company to sell in Russia.But later on Xiaomi , Oppo , Vivo ( later on) entered the market and they had comparably better features than lava and Micromax with the same price.When compared to these Chinese companies most of micromax and lava phones had issues likeLess attractive graphicsLookwise also these lagged behind when Xiaomi etc. enteredHanging problemSoftware upgradation facilities were limitedDue to various series launched older phones became obsolete and even at micromax care center could not solve the issues.Camera quality was poor.Speakers and earphones were of poor quality.Lacked features like thumb sensors , more storage, more RAM size for comparable price.Sales of phones with higher price ranges didn't get the same boost as the cheaper range because qualitatively Samsung and Apple (iPhone) were far better than these.While Chinese companies like Xiaomi,Oppo, OnePlus, realme and Vivo has big share in Indian smartphone market I hope these Indian companies come with some more attractive and reliable products which could give these a tough competition and get the same boost and share as in past.Pardon me if I've left something.Image source: Google

And they've had it because it's damn useful, especially for those who travel frequently.For a company that invented the modern-day smartphone being so behind the curve is just criminal. Apple is no longer innovating anywhere in its product line. It's copying everyone else and milking its Jobs-era products.
