Today morning, I needed some cash and was looking for an ATM. Came across an ICICI ATM, but as luck would have it, the ATM was down.Part of life… right?Wrong!When I looked closely at the screen, saw the message “This copy of windows is not genuine. The copy of Windows you are using does not pass genuine validation… to get all Windows updates and downloads reserved for genuine Windows, you must validate your copy of Windows now.”So are we entrusting our money to a bank that runs pirated software in their ATMs??This is the new low!Edit: As informed in the comments section by some of the readers, this is a license validation error, and can happen when either the license code has not been entered, or the machine is unable to connect to the license server. Thanks for the insight.That being said, this is not a desirable scenario, and the bank should have checks and balances to eliminate such downtime. To me, this still remains a case of irresponsible behavior.
