The A-401 commander, Captain Mike retired a LTG (3 star). During my last few years on AD I was calling all of my former Teammates from A-401. I was able to get phone numbers from Sherman who has a data base of all 5th Group USSF that served in the Nam. I asked about Cpt Mike and he laughed and said that's easy he is a two star in command of JSOC. I called but he was in a meeting and I left my phone number and name. Approximately 20 minutes later I was paged that Major General Michael Canavan was on line 2. I was passing through S-1 and picked up the phone and said, “Captain Mike how the hell are you?” He said fine and asked about my health. We spoke for an hour and before we ended the call he said, “if anybody and I mean anybody tries to screw with you….call me if I can’t fix the problem General Hugh Shelton (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) can.” He gave me his mobile number. After the call ended the S-1 female got in my face and shouted, “you can’t talk to a Major General like that!!!” I smiled and said, “you’ve never been in combat or even deployed so you wouldn’t understand that when you are in combat with a Captain a bond is formed that will remain forever; so yes I can talk to him that way. If I used his rank he would assume that I was mad or upset with him.” A short time later he was given his third star and was sent to Germany as Wesley Clark’s Chief of Staff.After he retired he was given the position of airline security. Then 9–11 happened after just two months on the job. He took the fall and now simply enjoying retirement. We stay in touch in fact I just sent him an email with an attachment of the first part of one of our interpreters from A-401 with 362 Cambodian soldiers that we equipped, trained and took on combat operations. This Elections is new in so many ways. The first is the Elections in Tamilnadu is completely revolving around only one Name “Modi”. Even in last elections when there was a Modi wave, there was two names used in Elections. Modi or Lady. But now Singularity in Elections for first time in Tamilnadu. Modi or No Modi.Modi vs. Prime minister Unkown. What is this ? Are you playing a PUBG to contest with a unknown Prime minister ? In Tamilnadu, Apart from Stalin no one is converting it into Modi Vs Rahul. Everyone is seeing the elections as Modi or Someone else. This is new. And one more new, there is no Tall Tamil leader name arised in this Elections.When there is a Elections we will hear only names, MGR, Amma or Kalaignar. But now only one person name is used more in Tamilnadu Elections. It is not Stalin or EPS or OPS or TTV or Kamal Hassan. I do not want Modi. Who else then. We are not united in the new name like the United front. We will decide who is that after Removing Modi.This is like i will tell the Captain name of my IPL team against CSK tommorrow after defeating Dhoni. ( not even CSK). Dhoni will tell his name and fight with a Raina and Team, but we will fight like a bunch of jokers and later select a Dewe Gowda is the very new in any Elections.And recently i asked few questions and this question is asked by me only. I want to give answer and get answers and at the same time i want to convey something in my mind regarding Modi factor in Tamilnadu Elections. In this question of Modi vs unknown in Tamilnadu elections i choose Modi.The reason is very important. For quite sometime i am getting questions, why these Bakths go behind Modi Blindly ? What they get ?. This i want to answer. A BJP will not support his ideology or Leader for money. So personal benifit is ruled out.And when a Particular Person or Group is singled out and Attacked, i cannot tolerate. Be it is Brahmin or BJP or any Religion or Language. Recently after BJP coming to power North Indians and Hindi again became a big issue in Tamilnadu elections.I do not like North Indians or Hindi speaking people singled out and attacked. I know how it is painful for a person to isolate him and attack in name of language, caste or religion. The DMK was doing it for Two identities. One is Brahmin in Caste and other is Hindi in languages.The portrayed to Tamilnadu people that Brahmin in Caste and Hindi in languages are the main reasons for the Backwardness of Tamil people. This is total fraud. No one is ready to accept it as Total fraud.And after Modi coming to power, they dropped the Brahmin attack a little bit, but increased the North Indian or Hindi attack more. If we find all the central government offices and Banks in Chennai is filled with Hindi means it is not Modi is the reason.When some changes happen some people will be in the top chair. The Tamilnadu people slowly losing interest in Central government and Bank jobs. The are moving away and away from Papers to Smart Phone. They will join a Reliance Ambani Jio company or a Airtel company. But they will not join in a Kendriaya Vidyalaya or Hindi Prachar Sabha.Not Hindi or North is the reason. They are not interested in taking up IAS or government services and more interesting in Information technology. And this makes the best candiate to go for IT from IAS. And this void created by a Tamil guy in a Perambur Railway coach factory is filled by a North India who is having a more interest in Central government job.If he is really interested he will study Hindi, as like he study English and somehow gets an IT job or Android job! Now you may hate North India, BJP or Modi. But one more new is the Tamilnadu politics never got changed.That is the only thing which is not new for Elections. The Dravidian parties contest in the same style they contest every elections. They make Personal attacks, Cheap remarks and worst language and insults against Modi.The DMK is sure of winning many seats. But this make them Mad. Why i support Modi this much ? I will explain. There is a bus stop near my place in Chennai Suburb. It is a big bus stop, a junction with a Empty ground and a busy centre where everyone conducts meeting.Yesterday, around 9.30 PM the DMK and Congress were conducting a Meeting in the name of Election campaign. I went very late and crowd was there in large number. And lot of ladies were there waiting for buses.Our DMK guys and Congress Guys started attacking Modi personally. They went to such a level the local speakers out of Alcohol influence, i think started abusing Modi personally forgetting there are ladies standing there.You many not like Demonitization or North Indians or Hindi or Hidutva. But there is way to convey your views and opinions. The opposition forget all basis decency and started insulting Modi, BJP in the name of language and Religion.What nonsense. If Modi is Hindi means, what about Rahul Gandhi ? What about Arvind Kejriwal ? What about Mayawathi ? What about Akilesh ? Are they Tamils. All of them are Hindi only! And Modi is from Gujarat. But to abuse Modi in the name of Religion and language has got nothing to do with Demonetization.I heard how cheaply how the local opposition leaders commented about Modi, BJP and Religion in filthy language in my own ears! Recently my answers were collapsed in quora for writing against Periyar and supporting Modi. And i made a decision to stop writing about Politics and i thought we should stop support Modi in quora, even though i am BJP supporter personally.I thought better not to write politics in quora. But after listening to what the opposition DMK-Congress doing in Tamilnadu in the name of Election canvassing, i decided to support Modi. I do not like this Trend of dividing people in the name of North South. Demonetization is not a excuse to slowly inject the Anti-Hindi Poison and Anti-Hindu Poison or this is not a basis to say North Indians are ruling Tamilnadu.If you are not able to get job or earn money means, you are the reason. We should not search Scape goats for our incompetence or laziness. So the one and only Modi center politics or Modi Bashing Politics is very new in Tamilnadu elections this time! This brand new Modi Bashing with a Vigor by Dravidian parties and So called Congress is the reason for me getting more and more attracted to Modi! I am going to vote for Modi again!

Later, Tony was Ron Atkinson’s Chief Scout at Man United. Both fullbacks were extremely progressive for Celtic, very attack-minded but the right full back was significantly better than the left back and got forward at every opportunity. If he’d had a better final ball or cross Aberdeen might have been in serious trouble. However, this did not prevent Celtic conceding an early goal as they looked to take the game to Aberdeen - overconfidence and inexperience probably played a part in them conceding and the goal helped Aberdeen settle although the early pattern of Celtic attacks continued (1–0).The two Celtic central defenders were tall, strong and pretty perfunctory. Neither was especially good in possession and they struggled against the movement of two clever and persistent rather than dangerous Aberdeen strikers who wanted the ball played in front of them into space, rather than into feet.And it was in this way that Aberdeen extended their lead in the game probably from a breakaway after a sloppy crossfield pass and a Celtic loss of possession at the start of the second half. The more advanced Aberdeen striker was played in and finished low into the corner to lead 2–0 - very much against the run of play.The key man for Celtic in the attacking build-up was an eye-catching central midfielder. Wearing no. 8 and with a fantastic range of passing short and long. Everything went through him and he demanded the ball at all times. He immediately formed a positive impression and stood out as the best looking player on the park with some fantastic moments of vision and great technique. He reminded you a bit of Paul McStay when passing and he also looked like a real leader in the team, a player that his teammate’s looked to for inspiration.However, as the first half wore on, and with Aberdeen leading and resilient, his quality became less and less apparent. The early goal had rattled him and his Celtic teammates and the midfielder’s lack of mobility became obvious negatives and he was regularly caught in possession. He seemed now to be a selfish player in possession - needlessly so. And there were a number of players in the Celtic ranks that though they were clearly talented were really playing for themselves. The better players were losing to a better, more cohesive team.Celtic’s front players were small, tricky types. Very expressive, quick, good improvisation but physically slight. The wide midfielders were lively but struggled to impose themselves against Aberdeen’s competitive, attack-minded full backs and they didn’t enjoy having to defend, doing all their best work on the ball.Individually the Aberdeen side were not as gifted but they had a real identity and a clear team spirit. Neither front player wanted to play with his back to goal but they excelled in this game with the opportunities to regularly play them into scoring positions with through balls. As Celtic chased a goal, the state of play allowed the Aberdeen front players to test two hard but fairly slow central defenders’ mettle in breakaway situations.The substitutions made no real impact on the game.The weakest player in the game was Aberdeen’s keeper who looked the part physically but appeared to be quite soft and unreliable dealing with back passes in particular. Nerves played a part in a couple of unforced errors early on that set the tone and he never convinced thereafter.The Aberdeen central midfielders were quite classy on the ball but both wanted to play the game at their own pace.On the face of it an Aberdeen win looked like a harsh result but the winning side used their resources far better. The fact that there’s a team ethic there means that a few of these players could get their chance and flourish in the first team.It will be harder for the Celtic youngsters. Technically they are very good but they will struggle for opportunities in the first team due to the players ahead of them. When they look elsewhere for football, the culture shock will likely be too extreme for most of them to cope.Probably one of the Celtic players will have a career at that level and maybe as many as six Aberdeen players will get a chance with two having good careers.Around 5–8 of the players on show will fall off the radar completely with the remainder having good careers lower down.”“So how did I do?”, Tony asked.I confirmed that the analysis was incredible - only the time of the goals was a bit off. I asked him how he’d done it without seeing or reading about the game?He said he’d seen so many Celtic v Aberdeen youth games over the years that the patterns in them and key themes were quite consistent. The names change but the action and types of players is quite consistent.And then for the punchline, that addresses the initial question…I asked him: “Do you ever bet on football Tony?”He said, without any hint of irony: “No, son, it is far too unpredictable.”How did he do?As Tony had predicted, the game finished 0-2 for Aberdeen. Fergus Tiernan scored in the 2nd minute and Scott Michie scored in the 20th minute. Both goals coming earlier than anticipated. Other than that though, it would be hard to quibble with any of it. And looking back on the careers enjoyed by these players in the intervening 15 years he definitely got far more right than wrong.For Celtic, Shaun Maloney was the hyped player ahead of the game and though he only showed up in flashes at Hampden, his career speaks for itself for Scotland, Celtic, Aston Villa, Wigan (where he won the FA Cup), Chicago Fire and Hull. He played 215 games for Celtic winning five Scottish Premier League titles and five Scottish Cups. He is the first player to claim both the SPFA Players' Player of the Year and the SPFA Young Player of the Year awards in the same season, doing so in 2006 during his first spell with Celtic.Of the other Stephen McManus had a better career than predicted with Celtic (150 games), Middlesborough, Motherwell and Scotland. John Kennedy, his defensive partner was highly rated until severe injury, sustained on his Scotland debut, effectively ended his career. He is now a coach at Celtic.The talented number 8 was Mark Fotheringham, a player who never really found his niche. Fotheringham played three times for Celtic. At the time of his debut, he was the youngest player ever to play in Celtic's first team. A roster of 13 clubs in 15 years underlines the fact that no-one has ever really unlocked that talent for any club, for very long.
