The Dawn News Paper of Pakistan (6 February, 2020) has reported that Saudi Arab is reluctant to hold a Special meeting of OIC Council of Ministers (COF) on Kashmir issue as earlier agreed by her. However, at the last minute understanding between Pakistan and Saudi Arab, Pakistan agreed to withdraw from the proposed Islamic meet in Malaysia and not to have any truck with this group in future. In lieu of it, Saudi agreed to hold a special meet of foreign Minister on Kashmir, to be hosted by Islamabad in April, 2020.As usual was trying to act smart as he visited Malaysia on 3-4 February, 2020 to consolidate her ties with Malaysia, which is one of the few supporters Pakistan has. During this visit to Malaysia, Imran voiced his frustration over the silence of the OIC on Kashmir and raised question on the unity of OIC. The agitation was so intense that Imran had to rush to Muzaffarabad next day to placate them.Also, the Saudi reservation will be costly for Pakistan as Saudi Arab and UAE have committed huge funds to assist Pakistan in financial crisis. Both may delay or even deny the next installments, if Pakistan does not end hobnobbing with Malaysia and Turkey. It is a tight rope walk for Imran.
