Which country is furthest into a working coronavirus vaccine?

I myself know little about the vaccines, but I found this article by CGTN, it’s really of some help for us to get some latest developments of the coronovirus vaccines.Track on COVID-19 vaccines: China has 11 vaccines in clinical trials, four in phase III“China is conducting clinical trials of 11 COVID-19 vaccines, four of which have entered phase three trials…….That accounts for half of the vaccines that have entered phase three clinical trials globally.”I’ll just pick out the graphs from it for you to take a quick glimpse. Many countries including Bahrain, UAE, Morocco, Peru, Argentina, have participated in the phase 3 clinical trials of Chinese COVID-19 vaccines, 50,000 people taking part in phase 3 trial of Chinese Covid-19 vaccine.Turkey is the latest for the clinical trial of Chinese vaccines.Turkey begins clinical trials for Chinese virus vaccine - Turkey News“Turkey has started testing the Chinese Sinovac vaccine for COVID-19 on three volunteers in its first clinical trial, the country’s health minister has said.Fahrettin Koca said the vaccine trials will be held in two phases: On 1,200 volunteers in the first and 10,000 in the second.Health workers will volunteer for the trial in droves, he added, speaking after the Health Ministry’s Science Board meeting on Sept. 16.”Here in China, emergency usage of the coronavirus vaccines have begun since July 22, allowing "high-risk" groups, such as medical workers, diplomats, and people who traveled to foreign countries still struggling with the pandemic, to be vaccinated.China approves emergency usage of COVID-19 vaccines, official says,“A Chinese health official Saturday confirmed the country authorized emergency usage of COVID-19 vaccines developed by some select domestic companies on July 22.‘We've drawn up a series of plan packages, including medical consent forms, side-effects monitoring plans, rescuing plans, compensation plans, to make sure the emergency use is well regulated and monitored,’ Zheng Zhongwei, head of China's coronavirus vaccine development task force told CCTV.An emergency use authorization, which is based on Chinese vaccine management law, allows unapproved vaccine candidates to be used among people who are at high risk of getting infected on a limited period.”And it seems up to date, things go well with the people who have been vaccined, Hundreds of thousands have been given Chinese COVID-19 vaccines without a single infection,"Tens of thousands of people vaccinated have traveled to countries and regions with high risks of COVID-19. No one has been infected so far, and this proved the effectiveness of the vaccines." There have been no reports of adverse effects either.Wish all the vaccines being developed, no matter by China, or by other nations, or by a cooperation among nations, will be promising and effective, and be available to people across the world, as early as possible!

Why aren't patients ever given copies of their consent forms for surgery and anesthesia, and they aren't included on the patient’s medical records to be reviewed later?

You can get copies of your medical records . Just go the medical records department and sign a form and wait . You don’t have to consent to any surgery that you don’t consent to..There are voluminous amounts of information that you may or may not want to peruse .Consent forms ARE included in your medical records . If you don’t want to sign the medical consents ; you can refuse surgery. You don’t have to have surgery unless you consent , UNLESS you are in a emergency situation , with involves a life or limb threatening situation , where the medical personnel have no time , and doctors do try to get the paperwork done , but they are more concerned about saving your life , or limbs , and things need to get done .

As a doctor or nurse, what's the saddest scene you have ever witnessed?

I was working in the Neurosurgical ICU, and we had a sudden admission from the ER. The patient was a 72 year old comatose male with a subdural hematoma, sustained from a fall from a ladder while he was cleaning out his roof gutters. He was accompanied by his wife, who had witnessed the fall and arranged immediate emergency transport. This is the best case scenario in the case of a subdural hematoma, because the blood clot is directly under the skull, not bleeding into the brain tissue, and thus a hole can be drilled through the skull, right at the bedside, and the clot easily removed. If this is done timely, full recovery follows. The patient actually awakens from the coma before our eyes, and it is one of the most rewarding cases for an NCU nurse. So I prepared the consent form for the patient’s wife to sign, while the neurosurgeon was busy getting set up to do the procedure. “I just need the next of kin signature, so we can proceed. As his wife, we need your permission, legally, in order to do the procedure.” But she hesitated. She looked distressed. “I’m not his wife,” she said, “I can’t legally sign for him.” She explained that they had lived together for many years, but never married because their Social Security payments would have consequently been reduced.Ok so now the timing became ever much more important. “Who can sign?” “His children, he has three, any one of them can sign.” I called and was ready to get telephone consent from the patient’s eldest son. But he wouldn’t give it. “Let me talk to my brother,” he said. I had the neurosurgeon explain to him how dire the situation was, but still no dice. So we waited. Meanwhile we started the process to obtain administrative consent. The patient’s domestic partner stood by his bedside, crying and talking to him, holding his hand, stroking his face. She clearly loved him.The son got back to me. Yay! But, no, wait, “We’re coming in,” he told me over the phone. “Don’t do anything until we get there.” “How long will you be?” “We’ll get there as soon as we can. Don’t treat him until we get there.” So now we hit a snag with administrative consent because there was in fact a family member who was coming in to sign.Time was of the essence. The clock ticking out the minutes, then an hour, then another, was excruciating. This was before cell phones. We kept calling the house, but no answer. Every minute that went by meant prolonged and increasing intracranial pressure that would reduce the chance of recovery. There was so much tension in that room, so much concern for the brain damage that we knew was occurring, as we stood by helplessly. Finally two sons and a daughter arrived. But they refused to sign consent, demanding to see their father. The patient’s anguished partner left the bedside, and the children gathered around, conversing right over their comatose father. “If we sign consent, and he recovers, they might get married.” “Yes and then the house will go to her.” “And if she dies then it will go to her children.” “We always knew that was a possibility, but here’s our chance to change things.” “It looks like fate has stepped up for us.”Hearing this conversation, we realized in horror that these adult children never intended to sign the consent. They deliberately wasted precious time, knowing full well what the result would be. They were going to let their father die. By the time we got administrative consent at this point it would be too late. “Yeah, we’re not going to sign consent,” the oldest son said. And they left. My fists balled up in anger and incredulity, and I so wished that the patient’s partner had just kept the fact that they weren’t married to herself, and signed the consent. A lie would have saved him. A white lie, a good lie. But she was too honest. So the one who truly loved him came back to stay with the patient until he died later that day. And that was the saddest scene I ever witnessed as a nurse.

Its ease of use. I tried it after a web search when I needed to do some general edits and create some pdf files and I didn't want to spend a ton of money for Adobe. This program was just the ticket. It allows me to insert/extract pages, rotate, create from other programs, and do some minor edits. Fantastic and powerful... easy to configure and use.
