Week 05 (150: Fill & Download for Free

I live in a village of 700 in rural, northern Sweden. The next town, of 5.000 inhabitants, is 30 km away, and yet another is 50 km away (that one has 50.000).So, we are in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by landscape that looks like this:Yet, a good percentage of people in my village have no car.Either because they are too young for it, or because they just never saw the need. And when we’re honest, there actually isn’t a real need to own a car here. We have:a bus terminal with four daily buses going to nearby towns between 05:00 and 22:00a train station with twelve daily departures between 04:00 and 22:00an extensive network of neighbours helping each other with ridesa shared taxi service that is very reliable and operates 24/7When you do the maths, these options come in at an expenditure comparable to that of running a car.A monthly bus- or train pass with unlimited travel to the larger town 50 km away is about 150 USD. And the taxi, while expensive, is still an option for someone who only goes into town once or twice a week, and it is subsidised if your trip is for a wheelchair user who is seeing a doctor or therapist.Still, I prefer to have a car, because it gives me more flexibility, transport options for when we buy big things or go recycling, and the ability to see remote locations at my own pace.

I guess I can also give my data point from when I attended USACO camp in 2005 with the Canadian team. I think I'd have ranked 3rd among US contestants that time:training pages, about 150 problems (?)about 300 on UVA online judgeIOI 01~04, about 30 problems50% of 5 years of POI (01~04), about 80 problemsCHN NOI 01~04, about 30 problems (plus reading the solutions of NOI 94~00)3 years of CHN winter camp / CTSC (03~05, 20 problems)2~3 years of Balkan/Baltic OIs (02~04), 30 problems2 years of USACO (Fall 03~Open 05), about 40 problems2 years of Canadian selections, 20 problemsa bunch of speed contests in Canada, maybe another 40 problemsSo a total of about 750 problems, 300 of which are extremely easy ones that are comparable to CF Div2 A/Bs.Time wise most of the UVA happened over Christmas 04, all the training pages happened over March break 03 and summer 04 (Fence Rails is TROLLOL). The rest were just 2~3 problems / week, so maybe 5~6 hours of coding plus another 3~4 hours of thinking per week?Techniques wise my toolbox was the standard basic DP + data structures setup. If memory serves correctly, the thing that I typed the most that week was standard array based binary heaps.... (STL is for noobs, Pascal style C++ FTW).

I attempted BITSAT today on 25/05/2018 2–5 slot (Ojas Global Academy Centre)Okay here we go, screwed up JEE mains TWICE2017- 11 (Eleven Number - 9 lakh rank)2018- 43 (3 lakh rank)Yeah you can laugh at thisIPU CET: (I am from outside Delhi)2017 - 41k (I lied to my parents that I got 20k)2018 - 14k (I think no college is there at this rank)Now coming to BITSAT:2017- 1532018- Yeah, i am anonymous but still ashamed of writing my marksComing to level to exam, level of English and LR was easy, but you should revise atleast 1 week before the examMATHS: Yeah This was also easy, straight questions of integration, stat, probability, 3D, Vectors and major topics which you have covered both in boards and JEEChemistry: Sorry but this subject is like trauma to me (Feels like vomiting and killing myself)Physics: there were straight questions of dimensions, formulas, and easily applicable formulaPLEASE NOTE- I was able to solve 60–70 questions and then I started random answers and did 150 full and unlocked 12 bonus. Believe me if you have freaking fast skills of solving questions then only go for BONUS, otherwise stick to 150 questions and try to increase 10–15 right instead of bonus, and they were difficult and lengthy af (One question was- 3 points were given, and find area of triangle)PS: NEVER DROP A YEAR IF YOU HAVE NOT CLEARED JEE ADVANCED ( YES JEE ADVANCED)Please guys drop a comment if you know what can I get in 3 lakh rank in JEE and 14k in IPUTHANKS //I AM CRYING FROM DEPRESSION//
