Years ago, before I started my digital marketing career, I owned a small IT consulting business. One of my clients was a McDonalds franchise with 2 locations.To cut a very long story short, the owner eventually discovered that one of her store managers over the second location had been lying about the inventory. She just didn't feel like doing it accurately so she'd either half-ass it or just completely make up the inventory data without actually doing inventory.This caused quite a few problems:The store frequently ran out of items before it should have, or purchased more than was needed for other perishable items.When the store frequently failed to be able to fulfill orders it lost the confidence of the locals who supported the business and they were less likely to come back consistently.The staff frequently had to rush to the first store to borrow inventory from the other location (where inventory was being done correctly by that store’s manager), which wasted their time and threw off the other store’s inventory as well.Sometimes, even though it was very much against McDonalds franchise rules, the owner or a manager would rush to a nearby grocery store to get ingredients. This of course messed up the consistency of ingredients that McDonalds has down to a science, and was way more expensive than buying in bulk from the corporate supplier.This went on for a few months and eventually led to the owner almost losing that store back to McDonalds corporate (My wife and I helped her create her presentation to corporate on why they should let her keep the store, she kept it by the skin of her teeth).This all happened about 3 years ago. Earlier this year that owner “retired” and someone else purchased both stores from her. Obviously there were a lot of other issues with how things were being run, but things like not consistently doing inventory will put any business that sells physical goods out of business very quickly.I expect that just like McDonalds, Dollar General probably operates on a very small profit margin. If you lose money due to not having inventory to sell or due to buying too much inventory and having to throw inventory away, you cut even further into those margins.You cut into those margins and those losses have to come from somewhere. Many franchise owners are in over their heads. They can't afford to take those losses themselves, so they'll pass them on to you in the form of not updating or maintaining the equipment you need to do your job, or just by laying people off and asking everyone else to work harder for less money.The business model works best for everyone involved, including you, if you just do the damn inventory correctly. It's probably the most important job in the store. Occasionally screwing up customer service or putting the wrong item in the wrong spot isn't going to have a measurable impact on the bottom line of the business.Not doing inventory correctly might put the business out of business, and you out of a job. Or turn the people you work for into stressed, frustrated, paranoid managers who need to get blood out of a stone (by overworking and over stressing you) to keep the lights on, making your job a lot more unpleasant every day than just doing the inventory once a week or once a month ever would have been.

This calls for a need of multi role combat aircraft. The current deal of 36 Rafaels is under this category.
