Barrel length is generally between 25 and 32 inches. The 25 (usually referred to as “XXV” incher is very nice for upland birds. The 32 for high pheasant. 28 inches is the usual compromise.The stock depends upon your body. Its length is measured by “length of pull” which is the distance from the butt to the front trigger. It usually runs between about 14 3/8to 15 inches. This dimension should be determined by a gunfitter.So the total length of a shotgun is a function of independent variables.The stock must fit or you won’t shoot well so stock length isn’t an option. Barrel length is, in my opinion, a much-overthought issue and subject to fashion. But that’s just my opinion. I do shoot my XXV as well as my 29 inch barreled guns and I don’t have any longer ones. The weight and feel and weight distribution is very important, more so than total barrel length.

Of these 1,93,609 companies were private manufacturers with an authorized capital of Rs. 368,694.77 Crores.Before Make in India - Foreign companies in IndiaAs of June 2014, there were a total of 3,254 foreign companies operating in India of which 1,476 companies were functioning in Delhi while 772 were in Maharashtra (together that is 69% of the firms).Of the remaining, Karnataka had 270 foreign firms, Harayana 239, Tamil Nadu 202, Andhra Pradesh 78, Uttar Pradesh 56 and West Bengal 54. Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand each had only 1 foreign company operating in their respective regions, while Pondicherry, Chandigarh, Punjab had 3 such firms. However, not all these firms are 'manufacturing' in India.By 30th September 2014, the total number of foreign companies doing business in India had increased to 3,282. During the month of September, 15 foreign companies were registered in India of which 9 were under business services.During 2013, the stock of FDI in India was some $220 billion, or 12% of GDP, while as per UN Report, India's total FDI for 2014 was estimated at $35 billion viz., a 26% growth. Most growth however came from the service sector.After Make in India - Companies operating in IndiaAs on December 2014, there were 195,604 private manufacturing companies active in India (against 182,184 in Dec 2013). The total number of foreign companies doing business in India as on Dec 2014 was 3,306.This year as on February 2015, there were 1,017,516 active companies in India of which 2.14 lakhs (21%) were in the Manufacturing sector. Of these 1,96,852 companies were private manufacturers with an authorized capital of Rs. 393,662.77 Crores.
