Is Elon Musk the next Steve Jobs?

A straight NO.I’ll explain WHYNo doubt, Steve Jobs and Elon Musk, both are geniuses of all time.Steve Jobs focused only on computers and technology, and he has got many patents also for that, precisely 313 patents, and some of them are iconic. But Elon Musk, is a totally different brain. He has such a strong vision to change the whole humanity and even if we assume, he will live for 25 more years, he will probably change the future, and as per he said, “the future will be very weird.”Also, Elon Musk has putted his hands on every single sector, starting from cars, technology, internet to space, so he’s everywhere. It will be no surprise if he will be remembered for eternity, because of his complex and out of the box projects. If you like my answers, please upvote and share. What are some great movies that were failures at the box office?

Welcome to Hollywood. Cesspools of producers roam around hoping to strike gold, and a film’s ‘accessibility’ becomes the golden word that dictates which film projects are chosen and which are rejected. By the rule of consumer sovereignty, if the general film-goers aren’t interested, neither are producers. As a general rule of thumb, if we were to break down and analyse the long-winded catalogue of ‘critically beloved flop’ we would, exempted from the odd blockbuster gone askew, find a large body of alienating, but also underrated masterpieces. Here, I want to shine a light on films weighed down by the infamous accessibility curse; that adjective shouldn’t regulate creativity. A film a day keeps that barrier away.Phantom Thread (2017)Budget : $35 MillionBox Office : $41.5 MillionLetterboxd Average : 4.1/5Phantom Thread is an enthralling character study decorated with lavish set design, superbly decorated dresses to fit Reynold Woodcock’s esteemed reputation (played by the equally esteemed Daniel Day-Lewis) and permeated with the smell of roses.Predicted to be the dark horse of the Oscars, the film failed to secure a sweep and was promptly crushed by the waves of its competition, fading into irrelevance much quicker than studios anticipated.2017 was a fierce year for film. But don’t judge the deceptively ‘chic’ Phantom Thread by its title. It is every bit dramatic as Nolan’s Dunkirk, every inch as astute as Call Me by Your Name, every part as suspenseful and subversive as Get Out, and every fibre as artistic as The Shape of Water. But none of those pictures are quite as rosey and beautiful as Paul Thomas Anderson’s slow, immersive love piece.Blade Runner 2049 (2017)Budget : $150–185 MillionBox Office : $260.5 MillionLetterboxd Average : 4.1/5In 1982, Blade Runner revolutionised sci-fi as we know it.And yet, despite the mythologized legacy of the Blade Runner franchise, box office failures seems to be hereditary. The now revised masterpiece, Blade Runner caught only $42 million dollars on a $30 million dollars. Its sequel decades down the line held an even smaller budget-to-earnings ratio. But these original, richly complex stories shouldn’t be shunned. 2049 is a meditative piece that explores humanity with striking complexity, complemented by Roger Deakins atmospheric, once-in-a-lifetime cinematography.Big budgets shouldn’t always equate to large cinematic events. Sometimes that money can be used to layer and heighten an intimate story about a replicant’s quest to become human. Studios need to have the audience’s confirmation about that.mother! (2017)Budget : $30 MillionBox Office : $44.5 MillionLetterboxd Average : 3.6/5‘Highly rated by critics’ would be a tunnel-visioned statement. mother! was such a film where there was no single general consensus. Critics argued from opposite spectrums, the film was ‘genius’ then ‘pretentious’, ‘a masterpiece’ then ‘a heaping pile of trash’.Audiences, on the other hand, eviscerated the film. They were promised a Jennifer Lawrence thriller and were treated to the darkest chambers of Darren Aronofsky’s mind. Here lies a well crafted, symbolic, biblical and all synonyms under ‘disturbing’ thriller, born from Aronofksy at his deranged creative peak, designed to shock audiences and provoke discussion. His experiment succeeded, and the outrage was quite the accomplishment. For that, I believe it is worth anyone’s time.

Which great movies flopped at the box office, and why did they flop?

Children of MenArguably one of the undisputed best science fiction films of the 21st century.Unfortunately its performance at the box office was rather disappointing, earning $70 million dollars on a $76 million dollar budget. Luckily it didn’t end the creative career of Alfonso Cuarón. Although it did send him into a career hiatus. As to why it didn’t do so well, I’m guessing a film with such a rather grim setting is hard to market and promote to the general audience. Children of Men doesn’t hold back in its dark portrayal of humanity, the fact that the film takes place in a not so distant future in a rather familiar setting doesn’t help. Also the release dates in the US near Christmas probably didn’t do it any favors.Cause everyone knows that a movie about the violent end of humanity is the best thing to watch during Christmas season haha.I’m honestly surprised it managed to get such a large budget it the first place, although this was before the whole superhero craze became a thing, so film production companies were taking on more diverse projects back then.Another factor might have been its lead star, while I loved Clive Owen’s lead performance, he’s no Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise. What I mean by this is that he doesn’t draw the same crowd of movie goers, and in all honesty I think Clive Owen fit the character perfectly. Someone bigger might have resulted in them drawing all of the attention and removing the realism Cuaron was hoping for.Let’s look at Babel to compare, it had two big name stars, Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. It did really well at the box office. I can guarantee a big part of the 150 million dollars it won at the box office was due to them.Still at the end of the day more people today talk about Children of Men than they do of Babel.Like many films before it, Children of Men will go on to become something else in history and that’s something a good box office run doesn’t always guarantee.
