PDF Editor FAQ

What is the most ridiculous thing people believe about where you are from?

People think all of Illinois is Chicago.People think most of Chicago looks like this. Here's the thing about Illinois: most of the state is your run-of-the-mill farm area, and most of Chicagoland and the city proper is populated by normal middle class people. The entire state seems to be defined by Rod Blagojevich, gangs, the Daleys, Cabrini-Green, and Cook County's onerous taxes.Visit the state some day. Not the Chicago loop, go and see Aurora or Champaign or Bloomington. You'll find that we aren't an open air gun range ruled by an Irish Robert Mugabe and policed by the SS.

America seems to be trending more liberal. But 5 of the most liberal states in the nation (NY, NJ, California, Massachusetts, and Illinois) are losing citizens to domestic migration. Why are US citizens fleeing blue states to red states?

I can’t speak to states in which I do not live, although, as a former student at the University of California at Berkeley, I think we all know some of the catastrophes that have been plaguing the state recently. When your state is on fire and the air quality is the worst in the world, I’d flee, also—-especially if I had anything like asthma. (Remember the dust bowl and the people fleeing to California to escape the dust clouds?) Now imagine the California residents fleeing their state on fire.I know little to nothing about the real reasons behind flight from New York, New Jersey, or Massachusetts, but I live in Illinois and high taxes and mis-management are among the top reasons for the state’s residents to flee. There is currently a “flat tax” amendment to the Illinois Constitution on the ballot, which is not very popular. (It is even being challenged in court as having been “misleadingly worded”). My husband, who ran and worked in 2 H&R Block locations for years doing taxes, feels that the wording is so vague that it is likely to result in pensions being taxed in the near future, [as Illinois looks in every direction for a way to raise more money.] We have a winter home in Austin, Texas. It’s looking better and better as a base of operations.(And they say that Texas is reliably red? Maybe until all of us land there. More like purple now.)We also have a corruption investigation in Illinois into the Speaker of the House, Mike Madigan, for some shady business involving the electric company. I was a teacher in the state of Illinois for many years. I paid in 8% of my salary to the TRS (Teachers’ Retirement System). I taught for 18 years and then moved into the private sector and worked there for 18 years, paying Social Security taxes all my life.Because I worked for the state of Illinois, the government took 50% of my Social Security money saved, even though the time I worked in the private sector was equivalent to the time I worked in the public sector. Seems unfair and IS unfair. My broker at Merrill Lynch, who was a career Army soldier who retired with full pension, was not penalized in a similar fashion but was allowed to “double dip,” as they say. To me, if you spend 18 years in the public sector and 18 years in the private sector, there is no justification for taking half of the money paid in since the age of 16, for my old age. Therefore, my “old age” moneys saved for me by pension plans (TRS) or the government (SS) are not great. So, this Illinois resident may have to buy some cowboy boots if this amendment passes.

How does voting without an ID work?

As stated by Kelly Martin of Illinois, we here in Iowa do not have to show ID to vote.Everyone has already registered and can only vote at their designated voting location, where a list of names, with addresses are kept. Or, in our case, we voted early at county courthouse. We walked in, stated our names and were asked our address. Then we filled out a short form that asked for last 4 digits of SS number or drivers license, signed that and voted.Since our names were then counted as voted, no one else could vote using our names. In the last presidential election, 2012, Republicans said there was about 80 cases of real voter fraud. After names were found to actually be correct and felons that thought they could vote were discounted, only a single case(1), turned out to be voter fraud. One lady turned herself in, paid the fine and the name was deleted as a vote. Her daughter had just moved out of state and she didn’t think she was going to be able to vote, so she voted for her. When she found her daughter had voted, she turned herself in.Republicans had wasted about $200,000.00 that was marked for improving the voting system to pursue voter fraud and found nothing.

Feedbacks from Our Clients

It is so much easier to get my scholarships done. I hate writing on my scholarships, so I was having to completely retype the application which was taking time from me filling them out. One suggestion would be to do a student discount, like in my case using it for scholarships. A way to do this could be they have to enter there school and get a school code from someone and then that could verify they are a student so the company is not getting taken advantage of.
