10th St: Fill & Download for Free

The McDonald’s nearest me is always messing up.I live in downtown Jeffersonville in Indiana. There is at least two McDonald’s restaurants within a 10 mile radius.The one off of Highway 62 is stellar amazing. They rarely mess up orders, and even when they do it’s usually fixed quickly efficiently and with a smile and a “sorry for your trouble”.The one on 10th St. is terrible. I have ordered the most simple things from the one on 10th St., that’s the one that I will swing by if I’m on my way out to a neurology appointment or whatever and just need caffeine. I keep it very simple, a small iced mocha. No extra customizations from there.My fiancé and I went to the one on 10th St. recently and ordered: a large iced mocha for me because they had a coupon, a large sprite with no ice for him, two pumpkin pies, and a three pack of chocolate chip cookies.Guess what they messed up?Every. Single. Thing.The three pack of cookies, they gave us oatmeal raisin. We took these back because neither one of us can stand their oatmeal raisin cookies. I found it funny that they screwed up this one because this location usually doesn’t have oatmeal raisin cookies anyway, I like taking my sister through there because she likes their oatmeal raisin cookies.The two pumpkin pies? They gave us apple. A substitution would have been acceptable if they were out of the pumpkin pies and had notified us.His Sprite? Wasn’t even sprite! They brought out a what I think was a Coke actually and it had a lot of ice in it.My mocha? They had to remake this three times and still couldn’t get it right. The first time, they handed me a small iced coffee. Not even a mocha! The second time, they handed me a small mocha. Not iced. The third time, they got the size right and it was iced… But it was pitiful and had caramel in it. The mocha itself was not mixed up well, many locations do stir it at least a little bit to mix the chocolate in, and the whipped cream on top looked half melted. I honestly did not realize that it had caramel in it until I got a big glob of sweet something in my mouth and I made my fiancé taste it. This was a problem because I am mildly allergic to caramel. I get a rash across my shoulders. And what do you know the next day I had a rash across my shoulders from caramel. I did drink it, I needed the caffeine and didn’t feel like dealing with their bullshittery.Yes, I did complain to corporate. No I haven’t really heard back.I think from now on I’ll just save everybody the time and the hassle and go on down to the 62 McDonald’s.(A2A)

These are called hotcakes in Japan (ok actually they are called ホットケーキ(pronounced hotto keki)You might try Panya bakery on Stuyvesant St, it’s the kind of thing they would probably make.Not far from there is Hi-Collar (214 E 10th St) they have it on their menuFunny thing is in Japan the super fluffy ones are called “New York Style”
