I happen to sell doors to builders, as well as other building materials. So I might be a little bit more qualified than most to answer this question.And those are quite common dimensions. The space available may be narrower due to where the rooms are and how they are configured.It’s a little bit of a cost savings and most people don’t need a 3 foot door to egress.Egress laws now require a clear opening of 2’ 10” in width, that requires a 3’ wide door. But only one form of egress is required, except for the egress windows required in bedrooms. So, at least one swinging door with a clear opening of 2‘ 10“ is required. That requirement is met by the 3’ wide door.As far as manufacturers are involved, I don’t picture that had an effect in any way. In the old days, when the sizes were “standardized”, most doors were built by local door and sash companies. So I imagine that the standard widths of doors came about based on the size of furniture, more than any other single reason.Most interior doors are narrower than 3’, although there are a lot of laundry room doors that I now see being specified at 3’ wide to accommodate the size of washing machines and dryers.The size of refrigerators helps keep that standard as well. I just checked my refrigerator, it is bigger than 32 inches in 2 dimensions. So, since a 2/10 door is very unusual even as a rear door, a 3/0 door seems to be a logical size.

In a 2010 study published in the journal Science, he and colleague Silke Allmann, of the University of Amsterdam, found that tobacco leaves punctured and rubbed with insect saliva released a different bouquet of volatile compounds than leaves that had been poked and brushed with water.And he goes further:Plants themselves can also recognize and respond to these airborne aromas, Baldwin added.
