I am working as an assistant in Daltonganj branch of The New India Assurance co. ltd. There are mainly 3 works in a branch. 1.Underwriting 2.Claims Process 3.Accounts. I do all the underwriting ocassionaly process claims .Underwiting is a word of very broad meaning But u can say its data entry process in a branch. The work of A.o. and assistant is not so much different apart from their salaries. If u r thinking of joining this company. Make sure u are ready for some office politics .The 2 day holiday in a week is a big bonus. The work load is very less as compared to banks or for that matter most of the govt. institution.I have to tell u this, this is one of the busiest of branches in terms of no. of proposals which come for insurance.Even then I feel i am working just 50 prcnt of my capabilities in busiest of days. Theres a lot scope of career development too.Decide urself.

Friends Apps Daily is the biggest fraud in the insurance industry. They are defrauding customers by confiscating their damaged mobile phones for repair. They are defrauding the National Insurance Co/New india Assurance as well by claiming money as a part of the insurance claim from them. So they are making money on both sides. One by confiscating the phones and another by siphoning off the claim amount they are receiving from the National insurance or New India Assurance which is the ultimate insurer for anything related to general insurance. They have a customer care in Mira Road Mumbai and they will always ask you to wait for one more week for your handset to be repaired. Their connect centres across India are much smarter. They will call you and ask for your bank account number for depositing money since they are unable to repair your phone. They will promise a fraction of the phone’s actual cost as a reimbursement. Once you agree to this, their liability is over. You will neither get the phone or the reimbursement of any sort. They are even threatening customers on phone. I am writing this with full responsibility since I have been duped by them. I have recorded all the conversations made so far with them and will lodge a consumer complaint soon. So stay tuned.

It depends upon where u get posted....if it is in a branch office u will have to manage day today operations like policy underwriting, accounts,claims handling depending upon the volume of business of that branch.If the posting is in a divisional office u will be in charge of any one or two the above dept works as volume of business will be more in do than both.Its nothing difficult.it will be pressure less leisure work.....
