Enough said.And, finally, South Dakota, which never had isolation. It looked like it was doing well until late April when there was the largest cluster of cases in the United States - 488 cases in two days. South Dakota is a largely rural state with few population centers. Those 488 cases were mostly tracked to one pork processing plant where they acknowledged that one sick worker came in to work.By contrast, let’s look at a state which has strict isolation measuresThis is Michigan. It’s #9 in total coronavirus cases. It’s been hit hard. But look at the trend. On April 24, it hit 1,350 cases. It hasn’t hit that number since. I chose it because it’s been seeing a lot of protests about the isolation measures.Here’s New York, the leader in coronavirus cases. On April 14, it it its peak of 11571 cases. The worst day in the last week was 2,762.The number of new cases has been pretty steady for months. That’s largely because most states are in isolation mode and most of the early cases were in the large, densely populated states.
