It’s kind of like eating a snake … tastes like crap but you can live on it.No, I won’t leave it at that. I’m not totally heartless. I was in prison and I was fortunate to have money in my account to buy (augment) the prison diet where I was incarcerated. When most of the food content is Textured Vegetable Protein (like hamburger helper without the hamburger) and the possibility of having a thyroid gland that will never operate normally again, it’s tough to get around it.I’ll tell you what some guys did. They put in for a Renal diet. Low kidney function. Renal diets have a LOT of protein in it and it is by-God-real food! They’ll do whatever it takes to get around the testing for renal diets. They eat well on the prison food alone. Others could order Kosher diets and, when I left the system, Muslims were still trying to get a special diet for their religious requirements.I cannot tell you what having a simple thing like a chocolate ice cream bar bought in commissary can do to the soul of a prisoner. Sometimes, it does bring a tear to the eye. I wish I could have helped more people in my dorm quite frequently. Alas, I did what I could and every now and then, I’d go to somebody who I know doesn’t eat anything extra and ask them to give me a short list. I tried to spread it around other ways. I helped some of them fill out forms, write letters to family and friends, I’d even do personal laundry in the back sink in the shower area and when they offered stuff to me, I respectfully declined. They could spend it on other things.You know, I never lived alone. EVER. My parents when I was a kid all the way up to 21. I married and lived with my wife and her daughter and we had two sons together. I got arrested and was in a “special” cell with 70 other guys for 1163 days and I went to prison and was in a dormitory with 70 other guys. Now that I’m out … LOL … I live with 3 other ex-con old farts all trying to make ends meet because, on our fixed incomes, we sure as heck cannot do it alone. Maybe it was the fact I always lived with somebody that I felt more compelled to take into consideration other people that didn’t have much if anything at all.

It can be from many different causes: urinary tract infection, crystals forming in the urinary tract, cystitis, psychological distress. The cures for those would be antibiotics, special diet, Cosequin+special diet, removing or mitigating the cause of the distress, Paxil, in corresponding order. Only a vet can really diagnose and tell you the cause.

Venom is something which is harmful only when injected as it works when released in the blood stream. Snake venom is essentially a complex peptide chain.So when we continue with this line of thought nothing will happen to a person if he or she eats snake venom. It will go to your liver and even get broken down into amino acids and be utilized by the body and the remaineder will be thrown out by your kidneys.This however will happen in case of one BIG ASSUMPTION, which is that from your oral cavity to the end of your excretory system , viz, your anus and penis/ clitoris there is absolutely no blisters, lesion, abrasion, cut, ulcers, infection , etc . Any opening which can be an interface to your circulatory system, ie, any interface where venom can come in contact with your blood. If it does come in contact with any blister, ulcer, fissures, etc ; venom will enter your blood stream and do damage that it is designed to do. Damage will be depending on the type of venom (Haemotoxic or Neurotoxic), potency and volume of venom taken. That of course is beyond the scope of this question.VenomSnake charmers in India love to impress the crowds by extracting and drinking venom in public. Prior to this they drink a glass full of Ghee (Processed and extracted milk fat, not sure how to describe Ghee) and molten wax. This forms a clear layer in the oral and digestive tract and provides a fair amount of protection to the snake charmer. They go on a special diet and health regimen at least fifteen days prior to the day of act in order to ensure that there is no blister, lesion, etc.Of course, it is still quite dangerous and I strongly advice against snake venom consumption in any condition. The consequences are not worth the risk.
