Dark matter: What do we know property-wise? Is it intangible to normal matter, or even itself? Do planets and stars have DM in the core/on top of the atmosphere?

There is no proof that dark matter exists. An Open Letter to the Scientific Community(Published in New Scientist, May 22, 2004)The big bang today relies on a growing number of hypothetical entities, things that we have never observed– inflation, dark matter and dark energy are the most prominent examples. Without them, there would be a fatal contradiction between the observations made by astronomers and the predictions of the big bang theory. In no other field of physics would this continual recourse to new hypothetical objects be accepted as a way of bridging the gap between theory and observation. It would, at the least, raise serious questions about the validity of the underlying theory. But the big bang theory can’t survive without these fudge factors. Without the hypothetical inflation field, the big bang does not predict the smooth, isotropic cosmic background radiation that is observed, because there would be no way for parts of the universe that are now more than a few degrees away in the sky to come to the same temperature and thus emit the same amount of microwave radiation.Without some kind of dark matter, unlike any that we have observed onEarth despite 20 years of experiments, big-bang theory makes contradictory predictions for the density of matter in the universe. Inflation requires a density 20 times larger than that implied by big bang nucleosynthesis, the theory’s explanation of the origin of the light elements. And without dark energy, the theory predicts that the universe is only about 8 billion years old, which is billions of years younger than the age of many stars in our galaxy. What is more, the big bang theory can boast of no quantitative predictions that have subsequently been validated by observation. The successes claimed by the theory’s supporters consist of its ability to retrospectively fit observations with a steadily increasing array of adjustable parameters, just as the old Earth-centred cosmology of Ptolemy needed layer upon layer of epicycles.Yet the big bang is not the only framework available for understanding the history of the universe.Plasma cosmology and the steady-state model both hypothesise an evolving universe without beginning or end. These and other alternative approaches can also explain the basic phenomena of the cosmos, including the abundances of light elements, the generation of large-scale structure, the cosmic background radiation, and how the redshift of far-away galaxies increases with distance. They have even predicted new phenomena that were subsequently observed, something the big bang has failed to do.Supporters of the big bang theory may retort that these theories do not explain every cosmological observation. But that is scarcely surprising, as their development has been severely hampered by a complete lack of funding. Indeed, such questions and alternatives cannot even now be freely discussed and examined. An open exchange of ideas is lacking in most mainstream conferences. Whereas Richard Feynman could say that “science is the culture of doubt”, in cosmology today doubt and dissent are not tolerated, and young scientists learn to remain silent if they have something negative to say about the standard big bang model. Those who doubt the big bang fear that saying so will cost them their funding.Even observations are now interpreted through this biased filter, judged right or wrong depending on whether or not they support the big bang. So discordant data on red shifts, lithium and helium abundances, and galaxy distribution, among other topics, are ignored or ridiculed. This reflects a growing dogmatic mindset that is alien to the spirit of free scientific enquiry.Today, virtually all financial and experimental resources in cosmology are devoted to big bang studies. Funding comes from only a few sources, and all the peer-review committees that control them are dominated by supporters of the big bang. As a result, the dominance of the big bang within the field has become self-sustaining, irrespective of the scientific validity of the theory.Giving support only to projects within the big bang framework undermines a fundamental element of the scientific method — the constant testing of theory against observation.Such a restriction makes unbiased discussion and research impossible. To redress this, we urge those agencies that fund work in cosmology to set aside a significant fraction of their funding for investigations into alternative theories and observational contradictions of the big bang. To avoid bias, the peer review committee that allocates such funds could be composed of astronomers and physicists from outside the field of cosmology.Allocating funding to investigations into the big bang’s validity, and its alternatives, would allow the scientific process to determine our most accurate model of the history of the universe.Initial signers:(Institutions for identification only)Halton Arp, Max-Planck-Institute Fur Astrophysik (Germany) (1of the two above S.W.)Andre Koch Torres Assis, State University of Campinas (Brazil)Yuri Baryshev, Astronomical Institute, St. Petersburg State University (Russia)Ari Brynjolfsson, Applied Radiation Industries (USA)Hermann Bondi, Churchill College, Cambridge (UK)Timothy Eastman, Plasmas International (USA)Chuck Gallo, Superconix, Inc.(USA)Thomas Gold, Cornell University (emeritus) (USA)Amitabha Ghosh, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (India)Walter J. He is far from that & I have a number of proofs that categorically evidence that he is not correct. Please read the below. (NOW WITH PICTURES & DIAGRAMS.)SCIENCE STORYSyd Wilcox.Find enclosed a full exposé of one of 6 aspects of Einstein’s mistakes in his explanation(s) of which he claims that time dilation has to be the result(s) of relativity. There are many more aspects that I have not written about but these first 6 should be enough to keep you busy. These are the most obvious. The experiment here in question is very simple to understand & is the most obvious one of the 6 which any youth of the age of 12 to 14 years should be able to follow & comprehend quite easily. One of the other 5 aspects is a definition of what time actually or really is. I have the first TRUE definition EVER as to what time really is & it stands head & shoulders above the present vague & ambiguous dictionary definition(s) & most importantly it stands alone. There is no such thing as time dilation: I can categorically PROVE this.If you read the presented experiment of “The Time Dilation Cornerstone Mind Experiment” below you should be able to understand very easily where it is leading & you may even work out why he is wrong. If you are of the opinion that this mind experiment is trivial it is in fact the fundamental starting point for the whole of relativity & is as far as I know in EVERY book ever written about relativity, which implies all positive contributions & now my negative contribution. I do not know of any other negative contributions to THIS particular single mind experiment although I acknowledge that there may be some. You can easily verify or clarify the above with my assistance firstly, of which I can show you ALL the points & pieces that I have which all fit together like a jigsaw puzzle would & indeed it should & then if you have any doubt about anything whatsoever it is very easy enough to obtain help from the local universities or the help of a student.NOTE: I state that most of, but not all the students, are indoctrinated with wrongful ideas as they must be if I am right about Einstein’s ideas. I know for SURE that they are not all indoctrinated and that some of the students are aware that they are being taught nonsense, true, FACT. Read “An Open Letter to the Scientific Community” below which is signed by the top scientists which includes 2 of the scientists I have written about, one of which I obtained the relevant permissions from & kindly enough he allowed me to place a good amount of his work at the back of my book.“The Time Dilation Cornerstone Mind Experiment” is immediately below the Open Letter. I have placed the open letter to show you exactly what the science community are going through and what they think about the present state of science. This should be eye opening for you.An Open Letter to the Scientific Community(Published in New Scientist, May 22, 2004)The big bang today relies on a growing number of hypothetical entities, things that we have never observed– inflation, dark matter and dark energy are the most prominent examples. Without the hypothetical inflation field, the big bang does not predict the smooth, isotropic cosmic background radiation that is observed, because there would be no way for parts of the universe that are now more than a few degrees away in the sky to come to the same temperature and thus emit the same amount of microwave radiation.Without some kind of dark matter, unlike any that we have observed on Earth despite 20 years of experiments, big-bang theory makes contradictory predictions for the density of matter in the universe. The successes claimed by the theory’s supporters consist of its ability to retrospectively fit observations with a steadily increasing array of adjustable parameters, just as the old Earth-centred cosmology of Ptolemy needed layer upon layer of epicycles.Yet the big bang is not the only framework available for understanding the history of the universe. Plasma cosmology and the steady-state model both hypothesise an evolving universe without beginning or end. As a result, the dominance of the big bang within the field has become self-sustaining, irrespective of the scientific validity of the theory.Giving support only to projects within the big bang framework undermines a fundamental element of the scientific method — the constant testing of theory against observation. Such a restriction makes unbiased discussion and research impossible. Woodward, California State University, Fullerton (USA)ATHE TIME DILATION CORNERSTONE MIND EXPERIMENTThis experiment is called “The time dilation cornerstone mind experiment” by me because it is the theoretical cornerstone in the wall of the theory of time dilation. I have not heard of another name to call it by, and I am aware that there are numerous variations on this experiment. However it is this type of theoretical mind experiment that is the main stay of the idea of time dilation, hence the name. Every physicist or well read relativity geek will or should know this, or a variation of this mind http://experiment.It is where three people (in this particular case) are involved in an experiment that cannot be conducted for real at this moment in time, but given a flying saucer or other capable space craft could be conducted for real; so this experiment is conducted in the mind. Having read the above chapter “overlord position” you should be careful about drawing wrong conclusions from what you think is happening in the experiment. The intention is that the mind experiment should relate to reality as best as can possibly be achieved in all aspects without breaking any fundamental laws of physics or claiming events or other things that are impossible to have happen. You have to get everything right, perfectly right or you will be making presumptions and assumptions that are not in reality there to be made, and thus contaminate the experiment and then draw wrong conclusions from the experiment. There are many variations on this experiment but the one I have chosen is the most popular as I have seen this written in every book I have ever read about relativity and time dilation and is the one that everybody refers to. I think it is the easiest to follow and allows the best analysis. All the other variations will have the same basis with a different format of action but the criteria will be the same. The experiment as I have seen it in all books relating to this original form of the experiment of speed and relativity goes thus; as looking at a book page or a drawing on a piece of A4 orientated preferably to landscape as opposed to portrait, on a table, a diagram, which is shown below in figure 1, shows a person on the bottom of the diagram in three places, on the bottom left, B1, then bottom centre, B2 and then on the bottom right B3. Let’s call this person Eric, (the emitter). Then a person on the top left, T1 then top centre T2,and then top right T3. Let’s call this person Myra, (the mirror).A third person who will be the observer then travels across the book or drawing, in this case from right to left, on the flight path line who is called Oscar, (the observer) and is in as it must be at this moment, his flying saucer whose speed he has reduced down to say 99% of C (C being the speed of light travelling through a vacuum, (mass vacuum) as measured on Earth) to comply with the local by laws of the physicists on Earth who state that you or anything else cannot travel faster than light; as he does not want any points on his license. Oscar is a friendly alien; he must be an alien as he has a flying saucer. (What’s life without a little humour)? But seriously there are things that are known to travel faster than light C, as you will read later.Eric and Myra are stationary; it is Oscar’s speed that from his point of view or perspective that gives the effect or appearance of them moving from left to right, they are in fact still, in one place only. They are shown in three places but it is presumed to be a continuous movement as seen by Oscar. Imagine Eric on the Earth firing a pulse laser beam at Myra’s mirror on the Moon. The diagram, figure 1 is shown below which displays this setup.I could suggest that you acquire some paper like two A4 sheets to draw a scale size or just copy it off your computer screen, and have the second sheet ready to answer your questions that are going to be asked of you to answer. No cheating, if you are going to do this do not read on and just get the paper and do this now.Oscars flight plan for the time dilation cornerstone mind experiment. The rhetoric runs thus: Eric is on Earth and fires a pulse or continuous laser light at Myra on the Moon from B1 to T1, the light as seen by Oscar, goes from B1 to T2 in a diagonal line, and then the light gets reflected from the mirror that Myra is holding or is next to on the Moon at T2, back to Eric at B3 on Earth and Oscar See's the light go from T2 to B3 in a diagonal line. The conclusion drawn is that because of the distance traveled by the light from B1 to T2 and back to B3, is greater than the distance B1 to T1 and back to B1 that the light has traveled both distances in the same amount of time.Because “C” is (claimed to be) a constant, you must have to claim time dilation for the longer distance of travel. What could possibly be wrong with this oh so simple experiment? How about a little test to try on yourself to see if you can spot any errors in this experiment? If you are familiar with this kind of experiment and consider that you understand relativity then by doing the following TEST you will prove to YOURSELF whether or not you really do understand relativity.I wager that the overwhelming majority of people get this test wrong. Get two sheets of paper, say A4 size but any size will do, and on one draw the experiment. If you use a ruler to draw and measure out the diagram accurately the better the result will be. You could imagine that T 1, 2, and 3 are the mirror on the Moon and B1, 2, and 3 are a pulsed or continuous laser on the Earth. Pulsed is http://better.It is the ratio of the drawing that is important not so much the size, but the bigger the better within reason: an A4 sheet turned to landscape should be ample big enough. Figure 1 above is what you should draw. It would be good if you could mark the cross bar which is representing Oscar’s flight path green, the left hand diagonal could be blue, and the right hand diagonal could be red. The colours are not necessary, but they make life easier. The ratio should be 100 units (say millimetres) high between B1, 2, and 3, respectively to T1, 2, and 3. The distance between the bottom points of the line where they meet the bottom line B1 and B3 should be 198 units (say millimetres). You could use tracing paper and take it straight of the screen. The size does not have to be bang on but within reason. You may be drawing this using a set of compasses which if set on say 100 units is near enough for the bottom 198 units, which will be 200 units instead, which for this experiment is near enough but if we are to be exacting it should be no problem to remove 1 unit either side. The second sheet is to write down the answers to the questions below. Trust me on this, do not read on, and just get the paper and do the test, even if you do it free hand, the result is startling. Some questions look pointless, trust me they are NOT.Imagine Oscar’s flying saucer is a model that is just like a car but with no wheels.Mark positions on the diagram with a pen/pencil.Questions.1/ Looking at your own diagram or screen describe or mark, say with a little round circle, line or dot on Oscar’s flight line where the experiment would begin for Oscar?2/ Is this experiment supposed to be symmetrical. Yes/NO.3/ Describe and/or draw what Oscar would see when he transverses the experiment from right to left? Here you could use a symbol or shape, perhaps in a different orientation to describe what he would see.4/ Have you ever seen parameters placed on this (type of) experiment in any book? Yes/No.5/ Mark on Oscar’s flight line where he will be the instant the light sent from B1 to T2 reaches the mirror.6/ Do you think it is important that parameters should be placed on this experiment? Yes/No.7/ Do you think science should be exacting. Yes/No.8/ Describe what Myra will see?9/ How will Oscar know when the experiment starts?10/ Where will Oscar be when the experiment finishes?11/ Which way is Oscar looking when transiting the experiment?12/ What will Oscar see when he passes the centre of the experiment?13/ Describe what Eric will see?14/ Describe where Oscar will be half way through the experiment. Now put the diagram and answer sheet to one side while you read on for a while. People are predictable and I bet you have placed the inverted V half way across the page. Not only that but you will probably have placed the diagram half way up the page or have used the width of a ruler to draw the bottom or top line to make it parallel to the edge, and gauged the other line from it. This is not that important in itself but it displays how people presume or assume certain things. This presuming and assuming is relevant to this chapter because really this is what this chapter is all about. I have never seen any given parameters to any type of this experiment. Therefore an amount of presumption or assumption has to be made. I think this is a big mistake. Science surely has to be exacting. Because the above mind experiment has been treated ambiguously and shoddily it leaves this experiment wide open to misinterpretation. There is a need to get the psychology right so that the conception of a mind experiment is as perfect or correct as one can get it. What has psychology to do with physics? Well let’s see. Let’s make life easy for ourselves. How you imagine the above is critical. Your mind has to be absolutely correct, or nature will find you out. Nature does not lie. The easier and simpler you make the mental concept the more likely it is to be correct. Maxim: Simplest things are the best. Keep it clean, keep it simple! If you imagine the light source to be a star for example, because we all know that light from a star can be seen from light years away, this sounds good because we know this to be true, but we are then faced with a huge delay in our minds to cope with the passage of the light. All of the distance and delay are not easy to imagine. It is possible to imagine a star up close, but all of the extraneous light is difficult to filter out of our minds. You are left trying to imagine a single photon travelling through space against the backdrop of a massive continuous stream of star light. A torch really does not make it, even a big powerful search light does not convince your mind that it can go any real distance, and we do want this light to travel a fair distance through space. You just know it would not be bright enough to cover a short distance in space. So what do we do? We need to sort out a distance in space that we are happy with and then sort out a light source that we can imagine to do the distance. We do not want a distance that is too short because the time interval will be too small to relate to and it would be better for us if we are able to relate to the experiment innately. Conversely we do not want a distance that is too long for the same reason, plus we are more than likely to want to repeat the experiment quite a few times so we would not wish to waste time waiting for a return light beam or laser pulse. What would be ideal would be a light distance of a few seconds. This is an amount of time that we readily relate to as human beings and importantly as animals innately, because it is built into our genetic survival code. Was that a twig that broke; is there some big nasty like a lion about to pounce on me, instant fear, pump Adrenalin, off we go. All this being done in hundredths of a second and the following time span while we run away we think ahead of in a few seconds. If you have ever been in this kind of situation, obviously not with a lion but a car crash or falling or fleeing a big dog e.t.c. you will know what your innate time span is. So we can discern over the range of a few hundredths of a second and a handful of seconds quite easily.Any increase in time would lead to less accurate measure with regards to our innate sense of time, and too short a length of time would not allow us enough slack time to make a good judgement of any discrepancy. We could just do this with machines but it would not have the same feel, but machines are used anyway so why not have the benefit of both. Well there is a distance that comes to mind and that distance is one lunar distance. The return light journey for a lunar distance is approximately two and a half seconds. If you are happy with this distance then what is now needed is a light source that can do that distance.Taking into account what has just been said let’s clean up the experiment. Let’s put some parameters to the experiment and make it easy for our imagining. Let’s say that the distance to T1 from B1 is a lunar distance. This is my happy distance. This is a distance that I am content with, and will call it one unit distance. You may have your own happy distance. Perhaps your happy distance could be a satellite in geostationary orbit or one further out.Now instead of having to imagine a single photon doing the travelling, let's have a laser pulse doing the travelling. It will be far easier to imagine a very powerful and extremely coherent pulse of laser light doing the distance, rather than trying to imagine picking out a photon from some other light source doing the distance. A pulse of light also removes the effort of having to imagine picking out a section or a photon in a part of a continuous stream of light like that of a searchlight or touch. (This reduces the load on your mental R.A.M.; keep things simple). A pulse of light is not only far easier to imagine, in reality we already do this. It just so happens that there are corner reflectors on the Moon courtesy of N.A.S.A. (and Russia, yes Russia as well. Not a lot of people know that) to which we already send a laser beam to, and receive back the laser light that is reflected by them. This brings it all closer to reality than just being a mind experiment. We now need to choose a happy pulse length. A pulse of one meter to over 100 meters is not a problem for our experiment. One meter pulses are possible, and I don’t see why one should be bigger but if you need to think of a bigger one it should not affect the result of this experiment.I have always presumed (rightly or wrongly) as there is no other choice than to presume, that Oscar is one equal unit (B1 to T1, or one happy unit, in my case a lunar unit) away from the plane of the light, the plane of the light being the same as the sheet or represented by the sheet of A4 and thus the plane of the laser pulse of light which will travel the path of an inverted V (symbol). It would be like a line, Oscars flight path line, standing one unit distance off the page and so closer to your eyes making it 3 dimensional instead of two dimensional, when looking at the page with the diagram on it. If this were not the case then if Oscar saw the light it would just go up in front of him and over his head and down behind him, and not appear to take a triangular path. I have never read the experiment run like that. Oscar has to be to one side of the plane of the experiment, and looking to the right in order to be able to look at the light pulse traversing the part triangular or inverted V path. This is absolutely necessary. It is not strictly necessary to have this line of flight in the 3 dimensional format that I have stated and a version of the experiment can be run in a 2 dimensional manner but with the different accompanying dialog that fits a 2 dimensional experiment that is necessary to keep the experiment correct, but all the descriptions of the running of this experiment that I have ever read always describe this mind experiment and its variations in this unaware, unassuming, absent minded, cataleptic, inert, insentient, three dimensional format.I say this as mentally all the people that I have ever talked to about relativity have failed to see this. This must include all authors who have ever written a book about relativity or professed about relativity that support Einstein’s theory. An eye opener or what!I have always presumed that Oscar is exactly half way between Eric and Myra as I have never read of any parameters that state otherwise, or anything else. The experiment looks symmetrical to me. Has this been ambiguous for you too? Should parameters be set to this experiment? Absolutely.I should say so, as I consider it shoddy not to. Science is about being exact, clear and precise. Also I have always presumed that Oscar is expected to arrive at the center, the center being as shown in the books on his flight line directly under the mirror at the same instance that the light source (or the part of the light source we are interested in or pulse) reaches the mirror at the apex of the supposed triangle or inverted V of http://light.An important fact about cleaning up the experiment with this laser pulse is that it easily allows you to imagine the moment when the pulse arrives at the mirror, instead of having to try to imagine when a certain part or a certain photon out of a continuous beam arrives at the mirror.Answers1/ Looking at your own diagram or screen, mark, say with a little round circle or line on Oscar’s flight line where the experiment would begin for Oscar.A/ I bet you placed this as in between T3 & B3. Wrong, it would be up line by 99% of the distance (Oscars speed) from B1 to the point in between T3 & B3 if in just the two dimensional run. This is because it would take light coming from B1 time to travel to between T3 & B3. This same light perhaps was your answer to question 9 that Oscar needed to SEE from B1 which you no doubt thought was the signal that Oscar would know that the experiment had started. Hmmm.Where will Oscar be when the experiment starts? 3D true version.A/ He will be upstream in his flight path line by 99% of the distance from the light source B1 to where Oscars eye will be at the appropriate time which will appear to you, to be in between T3 & B3 as you look at it BUT will be out to one side or off the paper at 90 degrees to the paper as you look at it, by one half of a lunar distance so that his flight path remains off the paper and remains symmetrical). Thus you have as it were for want of better fitting words a right angled triangle from B1 to between T3 & B3 which would be and is called the “opposite” side of the right angled triangle, coming up at 90 degrees off the paper what is called the “adjacent” side, one half lunar distance to meet the end of the “hypotenuse” side and Oscars true 3D line flight path. Thus it will be 99% of this hypotenuse distance that Oscar will be upstream from on his proper 3D flight path when the experiment starts to allow any light from B1 as his signal, to arrive at his eyes. (I know his arrival at this point would require exceedingly good timing).2/ Is this experiment supposed to be symmetrical? Yes/No. YES.A/ I have never seen any experimental dimensions placed on this particular portrayal in any book, but not to put them in place is I consider extremely bad science. The presumption is yes and matches the measurements that have been taken from books containing this particular example. I will state here that if care and attention had been placed with regards to the parameters of this experiment, if due diligence had been conducted, that this exposure you are now reading would have come about decades ago. This is what psychology has to do with physics; it is in the minds of Man where the problems are.3/ Describe and/or draw what Oscar would see when he traverses the experiment from right to left? Here you could use a symbol or shape, perhaps in a different orientation to describe what he would see.A/ I bet you have put something like an inverted V or the top two sides of a nearly equilateral triangle. To be in a position to observe an inverted V requires that Oscar is to one side of the plane of the path of the light as Oscar would not be able to see the light take an inverted V path, but the light in front of him would just go up and over his head and then come straight down behind him. See also answer 1 above. Answer to question 11. He would also have to be looking to his right side to be able to see this inverted V. See figure 2 below.Figure 2. This shows figure 1 in 3D, 45 degrees above and to one side.4/ Have you ever seen parameters placed on this (type of) experiment in any book? Yes/No.Answer: - No never.5/ Mark on Oscars’ flight line where he will be the instant the light sent from B1 to T2 reaches the mirror.A/ I presume that you have placed in Between B2 & T2 on Oscar’s flight line. As in questions 1 & 3 he would be to one side by one (lunar unit) unit and would be still down line by about 90% if he had to wait to receive the signal to know the experiment was confirmed as underway and on time. The same signal would reach the mirror before it arrived at Oscar’s position and would be well on the way back to B3.6/ Do you think it is important that parameters should be placed on this experiment? Yes/No. YES.7/ Do you think science should be exacting? Yes/No. YES.A/ This is what science is all about. Anything else is bad science.8/ Describe what Myra will see? Your answer will probably be, Myra will see a laser light pulse (or beam) just coming towards her hitting the mirror and returning back to Eric. Wrong. See final answer.9/ How will Oscar know when the experiment starts?Your answer will probably be when he sees the laser light pulse or beam at B1 being emitted.Wrong. See final answer.10/ Where will Oscar be when the experiment finishes? Not between B1 & T1.11/ Which way is Oscar looking? Good question. I bet you thought straight ahead.A/ Wrong. He would be looking right. Why. See answer to questions 1 & 3.12/ What will Oscar see when he passes the centre of the experiment?A/ I cannot guess at what you have placed here. You have to forget the start timing signal as it will not work here. The laser beam has been and gone. If you presume an instantaneous start signal the answer is still nothing as Oscar will now have to look at the mirror at a perpendicular angle to his parallel flight path when, if the timing is good will be when he arrives at the halfway point (when perpendicular to the mirror) and the laser pulse arrives at the mirror. The laser pulse would then be the distance of the hypotenuse of one half lunar sideway’s distance and half a lunar distance from T2 to B2. This places Oscar at one hypotenuse distance ahead of the light and also immediately increasing the distance by outstripping the speed of any light coming from the mirror because of his 3D distance sideways from the plane of the laser light and his hypotenuse with regards to the experiment is increasing the distance faster than the laser light can in the short term catch up even though he may only be moving at 99% of C.This is a very simplistic answer as a real proper answer is generally as above but has a lot more complications considerations, and nuances to take into account and only adds to a more and very complicated series of problems and answers all of which exacerbate the situation. Study the above and see how many things you can think of to add, and then work out how you would describe what you see in words. Not easy. There is so much wrong with it that it would be a nightmare to read it never mind figuring out how to write it all out.13/ Describe what Eric will see? Your answer will probably be Eric will see a laser light pulse (or beam) head towards Myra’s mirror, hit it and return back to him. Wrong. See final answer.14/ Describe where Oscar will be half way through the experiment.A/ This depends on where he starts from and as we have seen that is very ambiguous. You probably wrote in between T2 and B2. Wrong Oscar would be out to one side by one lunar distance so would not be in between anything and if he got his timing right would be perpendicular to the http://mirror.Is there anything else we need to have a look at? How about the parameters of Oscar? Is there anything else? The Final AnswerYes there is and it’s a kicker. It’s the atom bomb that everyone has missed. It’s the verbal or written hand grenade. It’s the major thing that everybody, has overlooked (with the exception of myself, as I know of no one else). It’s the part that peoples own psychology plays in interpreting this experiment. Read on. On these presumptions I will run the experiment. The following will apply similarly to the 2 dimensional formats. A very powerful laser pulse of extremely coherent light is sent by Eric at B1 to Myra at T1. Oscar comes in from the right at one half unit distance away from the expected inverted V plane of light of the laser pulse, and he is travelling at 99% ”C”, and sees what? Answer: absolutely nothing. This is completely contrary to any other conclusion I have ever read! Shock, horror....... Why?Because it is not possible to see light as it travels. This is why I have laboured the point. This is why I made the light source an extremely coherent pulse of laser light. You can only see light when it terminates in your eyes. The old mind experiment is flawed. The old way of looking at this experiment is wrong and possesses overlord position, or god head.It is not possible to make the claim, as is stated in all the books that I have read, that “this is how it would appear”. It categorically is NOT how it would appear. If it cannot “appear”, as is stated then it makes the experiment null and void. I have laid the above paragraph out to a small number of other people and they still have not seen the light. (Forgive the pun). The whole reason of making the light source a laser beam was to emphasize the situation as a laser is extremely coherent, and its introduction cleans the experiment by not having extraneous amounts of light involved to fuddle the mind.I am going to labour this point some more because so many people have missed what has just been stated. It is no good stating that you can see light as it travels because you see a beam of light when you shine a torch into a dark sky or some dark woodland. What you are seeing is an amount of light or percentage of the light of the torch that has been reflected back by either dust or water vapour, and this light comes back and terminates in your eyes, and therefore you see this. The light that does the job that the torch was designed for is the light that illuminates the object that you want to see, and is not lost in being reflected by the dust or water vapour in the air. A torch in space does not produce a beam as there is no matter (not enough (for those who wish to split hairs)) to reflect any light in the beam back to your eyes.Another good example to further the above is the brightest light source I know, the Sun, lights up the Moon which can be seen on a clear night, and when you look at the Moon especially a full Moon you can see it quite clearly, but you cannot see streams of light going to it or past it. You only see the light that hits the Moon’s surface and comes back to the Earth and terminates in your eyes. The other oversight is that Oscar cannot arrive at the centre of his flight path and see the light at the instant it arrives at the mirror, even if some of the light was reflected towards him. He would need vision that could see distant things, instantaneously. The mirror is one unit distance plus an amount for the hypotenuse away from http://Oscar.So if Oscar is to see any light from the mirror, extraneous or partly reflected at his anticipated arrival position at the centre of his flight path, he would have to be up line (farther away) by an amount equal to 99% of the distance from the mirror to his arrival position at the instance the light arrived at the mirror in order to allow light the time to travel from the mirror to his arrival position. What would Oscar see after he passed the centre point of his flight path? Well if you supposed that he can see light as it travels and for ease of imagining the light was a continuous beam the blue shift in the light would now turn to red shift which he would see for only a very short moment and then Oscar would see nothing as he would be moving at 99% of “C” away from the light being sent towards him and because of the diagonal path and thus extra distance the light would have to take he would outstrip its speed. (Again a simplified answer). Now we can see what started out as a seemingly oh so simple experiment turns out to be far from that. Now that I have pointed this out to you, can you dismiss it from your mind?Where would the experiment begin for Oscar? If Oscar is to arrive at the centre point perpendicular to the mirror and perpendicular to the plane of T123 & B123 and see what must be some of the laser pulse of light that will have to have been partially reflected to his expected arrival position, he would have to be up line by 99% of the distance of the hypotenuse from the mirror to his arrival point plus 99% of one unit of lunar distance, to allow the light to travel from B1 to T1 or T2 (they are both the same) the mirror, and thus as mentioned previously from the mirror to his arrival point. (It starts to get complicated). For the hard of convincing, instead of a laser beam, replace the beam with a very big tracer shell that is travelling at 99% of the speed of light. A tracer shell that bounces unbelievably well of mirrors or its arrival triggers another shell to be fired back. Tracer shells and tracer bullets are designed to be seen, and are seen because they emit light in all directions. You now have to allow time for the light from the tracer shell to travel to the eyes of Oscar from any position on its path of travel. Try from the beginning of the experiment, see if you remember or understand what the criteria are. Where will Oscar be when the experiment begins?Answer he will be 99% of the distance from the mirror to his expected arrival point at the centre of the experiment, plus (100% of) one unit length of travel up line, as he will have to allow time for the tracer shell travelling at 99% of C to travel from B1 to the mirror (T1) and then have some of the light from the tracer shell as mentioned previously either partially reflected from the mirror or directly from the tracer shell travel towards him from the position of T2 the mirror, to his expected arrival point at the centre of the experiment as he can only see light when it terminates in his eyes. This experiment being run on the criteria that it is the timing of the light coming from the position of the mirror that is important, as it must be seen that light coming from B1 directly will take a shorter and therefore faster path to Oscar’s eyes and therefore he will see this light from the position of B1, and all the way up to T2 before he will be able to see the light from the position of the mirror T2. Did you understand or remember the criteria. It can get complicated. You have to get it correct in all your imaginings or you will have mistakes or errors and misconceptions creep in and contaminate your conclusions. Maxim: simplest things are the best. What was the position that you marked on your paper for the starting position for Oscar at the beginning of the experiment? What about those questions and your answers? All the answers are in the above. How did you do? Where you fooled by any of this experiment as well? But most important of all, you will not find any time dilation here. It is not needed. The original concept of the experiment is in error and thus makes the experiment become null and void. The new concept using the tracer shell shows how the experiment would actually pan out, allowing an amount of liberal license to be able to see the tracer shell(s) mentioned at these distances, and the ability of the shell to do as said. There is no problem so there is nothing to explain. It complies completely with Newtonian physics. Einstein is not required to explain anything. There are many variations on this experiment but they all suffer from overlord position. An example that was given by a friend is of an experiment where a radar pulse is sent from the Earth to the Moon, and the pulse is reflected back off the Moon’s surface to return to the Earth. Oscar travels on a path that will run between the Earth and the moon at a speed of 99% of C and watches his instruments for signals that will be sent to him by the radar station on Earth to tell exactly when the pulse was sent and exactly when the echo is received. This is again where the problems creep in.The signals are being presumed, but not consciously, to be sent and received instantaneously. Their travel time is not being taken into consideration. The radar pulse could be used as the signal itself, and if it is, again like the first experiment the experiment is simplified or cleaned up and things begin to look clearer. You could also have an optional receiver that could pick up the radar pulse on the Moon and then transmit a signal on to Oscar. This is a 2 dimensional experiment by the way.The rhetoric runs thus, the radar station and Oscar agree on the pulses speed but apparently not on the distance this pulse had traveled. This again is over sight or more correctly overlord position. What is being presumed here is instantaneous signal transmission. This is not a true representation of reality. This experiment is flawed because it has not taken into account all aspects of the experiment. The presumption of the instantaneous signal speed contaminates the http://experiment.As soon as you allow time for the signal to go from the Earth to Oscar, the experiment rights itself, and Newtonian physics explains it perfectly. Depending on how you run the timing you can end up with exactly the same result as the previous tracer shell and laser beam experiments, where if Oscar arrives at the halfway position along his flight path at the same moment the radar pulse arrives at the moon, he will not pick up a signal from Earth to say that the Earth has received the echo of the radar pulse because due to the distance Oscar will be away from the Earth at the time the signal is transmitted and also the diagonal path the signal would have to take to get to Oscar from the Earth, even though Oscar would be travelling at only 99% of C he would outstrip the speed of the signal to reach him because of the diagonal path the signal would have to take, at least in the short term, which is true of the laser beam and tracer shell experiment. Again; this is overlord position. To hammer home the nail, consider where the start position would be for Oscar. You may wish to draw this out on paper as it will be easier to follow as it is difficult to put in words and grasp visually in your mind.If he is to arrive exactly between the Earth and the Moon at the exact moment the radar pulse hits the surface of the Moon, he would have to be 99% of a lunar distance up his travel line to allow time for him to arrive at exactly the moment the radar pulse hits the Moon’s surface from being sent from the Earth. Remember he is travelling at 99% of C, over 99% of 1 lunar distance. If you have drawn this out you will see that this takes his position out of radio time transmission range by a huge amount. The distance he would be from his expected arrival position between the Earth and the Moon is greater than a signal or the radar pulse can cover to arrive at his craft before the same signal either the radar pulse its self or a radio transmission signal has covered 1 lunar distance. If extra time is allowed for the signal to reach Oscar the same signal will be travelling back to Earth from the Moon so throwing out all the synchronization of him arriving between the Moon and the Earth at the same moment that the radar pulse arrives at the moon’s surface. In fact the pulse will be back at Earth before Oscar can get to his expected arrival position. In order for him to receive the signal or pulse at the correct moment and arrive between the Earth and the Moon he could only be up line by about two fifths or 0.4 of a lunar distance. This would obviously throw out the availability of contact by signal or a second radar pulse when past the half way point as Oscar would be some one and three fifths or 1.6 of a lunar distance up line and although only travelling at 99% of C he would outstrip any radio signal or radar pulse, at least for a very long time.as is parked the discrepancy is so large it really requires that the whole cycle be moved on half a phase so that Oscar will arrive at his expected position when the radar pulse is received back at the Earth based radar station. But this would still mean that the first signal would be received at the wrong time and that the second signal would have to play a very long catch up with Oscar’s craft. It can easily be seen that this experiment is absolutely flawed as it cannot work at all. The signals were presumed just to be available and no consideration was given to the fact that it takes time for these signals to cover the distances concerned. This is a categorical oversight. The timing of the signals is critical to the experiment and as this cannot be conducted it is impossible to draw any sane conclusion from it. There are striking similarities between it and the laser/tracer shell experiment as one presumed that you can see light as it travels and instantaneously over a distance, and the other that you can transmit radio signals over distance instantaneously. Let’s not forget that the most important thing here is that this experiment does not show time dilation. As this experiment is supposed to show time dilation it fails miserably. This is an extremely good example of error being placed upon error and pieces of the jigsaw puzzle being bent and twisted to make them fit other incorrect pieces. The first mistake people make with the laser and tracer experiment is a lack of empathy, or discernment. They look from their own eyes and not from Oscar’s. This unfortunately is an attribute of the human race with respect to many other things. People tend to find it difficult to imagine looking at something from a different perspective to the one they are in, or are using, or from someone else’s point of view.Time dilation has been dreamt up and makes fact out of fiction and makes a phoney theory look true.SUMMARYYou cannot see light as it travels and you cannot transmit signals over distance instantaneously; by presuming you could, makes the experiment null and void. This is overlord position. (Psychology of man). It is man here who is applying his incorrect thinking, presumptions, assumptions and personal biases to the problem in hand. You CANNOT see light at a distance; you only see light when it contacts your retina.Nature does not lie and she is not an illusionist or conjurer but is showing it as it is.Time dilation is NOT shown and is proven to be a false assumption this being due to a lack of clear or true envisaging. (Psychology of man). The time dilation mental experiment is shown to be flawed in many, many ways and is now shown to be totally and utterly decimated. It is surly seen to be corrupt and distorted with not one shred of tangibility left and as thus so destroyed to be beyond any possible continuance or resurrection.NRJWG 20-11-18NO ONE ELSE HAS THIS!If you find this difficult to follow then I suggest that you contact someone from the university that can take a look at it. To redress this, we urge those agencies that fund work in cosmology to set aside a significant fraction of their funding for investigations into alternative theories and observational contradictions of the big bang. To avoid bias, the peer review committee that allocates such funds could be composed of astronomers and physicists from outside the field of cosmology.Allocating funding to investigations into the big bang’s validity, and its alternatives, would allow the scientific process to determine our most accurate model of the history of the universe.AInitial signers:(Institutions for identification only)Halton Arp, Max-Planck-Institute Fur Astrophysik (Germany) (1of the two above S.W.)Andre Koch Torres Assis, State University of Campinas (Brazil)Yuri Baryshev, Astronomical Institute, St. Petersburg State University (Russia)Ari Brynjolfsson, Applied Radiation Industries (USA)Hermann Bondi, Churchill College, Cambridge (UK)Timothy Eastman, Plasmas International (USA)Chuck Gallo, Superconix, Inc.(USA)Thomas Gold, Cornell University (emeritus) (USA)Amitabha Ghosh, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (India)Walter J. Woodward, California State University, Fullerton (USA)THE TIME DILATION CORNERSTONE MIND EXPERIMENTThis experiment is called “The time dilation cornerstone mind experiment” by me because it is the theoretical cornerstone in the wall of the theory of time dilation. The conclusion drawn is that because of the distance travelled by the light from B1 to T2 and back to B3, is greater than the distance B1 to T1 and back to B1 that the light has travelled both distances in the same amount of time.Because “C” is (claimed to be) a constant, you must have to claim time dilation for the longer distance of travel. Also I have always presumed that Oscar is expected to arrive at the centre, the centre being as shown in the books on his flight line directly under the mirror at the same instance that the light source (or the part of the light source we are interested in or pulse) reaches the mirror at the apex of the supposed triangle or inverted V of http://light.An important fact about cleaning up the experiment with this laser pulse is that it easily allows you to imagine the moment when the pulse arrives at the mirror, instead of having to try to imagine when a certain part or a certain photon out of a continuous beam arrives at the mirror.Answers1/ Looking at your own diagram or screen, mark, say with a little round circle or line on Oscar’s flight line where the experiment would begin for Oscar.A/ I bet you placed this as in between T3 & B3. This is a 2 dimensional experiment by the way.The rhetoric runs thus, the radar station and Oscar agree on the pulses speed but apparently not on the distance this pulse had travelled.
