Student Progress Report: Fill & Download for Free

I was in my 9th grade year and I had to get my progress card signed by my parents. Unfortunately, my mom wasn’t in town, so I had no other option than to go to my Dad’s work and get my report card signed.That was the first time I saw him like that. My dad worked as a mechanical fitter in Railways. On that day, when I saw him, he was wearing a shirt which was torn near the sleeve. He was full of grease, wearing a plastic cover on his head to avoid the grease falling on him. I was not able to control my tears, but went silently and showed my progress report. It took almost five whole minutes for him to clean his hands. To his surprise I was failed in a subject. He looked at me and did not utter a single word. To my disbelief, he signed the progress report silently. Then, he asked if I was hungry. He took me to a tea shop nearby and got me some tea and biscuits. I returned full of tears in my eyes. I wish I had never seen him in such a way.But, that changed the course of my life. It would be lie if I said I never failed again. However, I ensured I won’t fail in my life. I graduated from school and college as an average student and struggled so much in my career. Finally, I found a respectable job and can say now my parents are truly happy.As children we are so busy finding the faults and pointing at our parent’s mistakes. We never realize or see the sacrifices they make. We never see them slip. Have you seen them eat the rotten side of the apple? Have you seen them praying for themselves? Most parents live for their children and die for their children.The sad part is, some people are ashamed to bring their parents in front of society. For those of such nature, I honestly believe karma will hit them back in the form of their children.That’s my happy family during my engagement!!!

THE PROGRESS REPORT CARDThis was when i was in 11th standard. I was a very notorious student and was often called to the Principal's room to get scolded by her. My dad was often called to the school because of me. I used to tell my dad in the morning itself that he might be called today for some mischief which i did the previous day. My dad used to get angry because he had to leave his office in the middle and come to the school. One day, i was skipping a class and the Class teacher informed the School Principal about it. "Princi" as we used to call her called me to her office and straight away dialled my dad's office number from her landline. She remembered his number as she had called him to school earlier also.Princi to my Dad- "School aaiye zara.... aapka beta yaha bahut karnaame kar raha hai".(English Translation- "Pls. come to school....Your son is doing a lot of misdeeds").My dad came in half an hour. I was in Princi's room till then. Princi scolded me in front of my dad for 10 minutes and also strictly advised my dad to make me focus on studies. My class teacher also entered Princi's room at the same time. After the Princi's lecture was over, me and my dad got out of her room and my dad started talking to my class teacher.My class teacher said to my dad- "Ab aap school aa hi gaye hai to iska progress report card bhi sign kar dijiye"( "Since you have come to the school,please sign his progress report card also")And he handed over my report card to my dad.It was the day when we're supposed to get our report cards. My heart started beating faster.My dad was seeing my report card for the first time and as he opened the report card he found it was already signed thrice against "Parent's Signature" column ( for 2 unit-tests and one half yearly exam). It was me who never showed that report card to him whenever we're given it to get it signed by our parents. I always signed it by writing my father's name in some fancy style and submitted it back without anyone knowing at home and school.After looking at those signatures my dad looked at me with big eyes. He knew that it was me. I was feeling bad but was also not able to control my laughter thinking about the situation.The class teacher gave him a pen. He carefully examined the earlier signatures made by me and copied the same signature in the next column."I love you Dad" i said in my mind with my eyes down.As we left the room I bursted out laughing and even my dad started smiling.Had he freaked out and told the class teacher that he'd never seen and signed the report card earlier, the Princi would again have scolded me like hell .8 years have passed since then, but whenever i visit home I always discuss the case of that report card with my dad.
