You can become a painter now..Start by asking yourself what you like to paint and what inspires you to paint..I started at a real young age drawing comics and then pictures of my father’s motorcycles.. You can pick and choose your instruction with the keyboard and mouse.. Anything that was on video, is likely now on Youtube or the computer in some format..I learned a lot of landscaping oil techniques from Bob Ross, you don’t need a fraction of the paint he has on the palette, to get your results.. Any of the colors he uses can be obtained cheaper than buying his sets and kits. You can stream his instructional videos on Netflix and Youtube..Bob RossI learned acrylic painting from books, which 20 years ago there were no youtube video and you will find as I did, you can use acrylics and gesso for base painting on oil paintings..Now, you haven’t mention watercolor painting which involves watercolor paper and gouache or watercolor paints, the cheapest paints but the least forgiving for making mistakes or correcting..
