Where can I find GRE sample essays which cover a certain range of topics, like education, environment, culture etc.?

Here’s a sample of one of my practice essays while preparing for the GRE:(1) Issue Essay TaskQuestion:“Teachers' salaries should be based on their students' academic performance.”Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position, be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position. My Notes:Disagree.Students might hold a grudge against some teachers and deliberately do badlyPuts a lot of pressure on the teachersMy Essay:Schooling has, throughout history, given huge importance to the academic performances of students. With time, the schooling system has continually improved, with more and more emphasis given to the all-round development of students, rather than just their academic proficiency. Since the primary onus of molding students into responsible citizens of the world is on the teachers, some might argue that teachers' salaries should be based on the academic performance of their students. However, evidence points to the fact that teachers' salaries should not be entirely contingent upon their students' academic performance since it calls forth unfair pressure on a teacher. As previously stated, schools have shifted from focusing solely on students' academics to giving them an education that includes sports, extra-curriculars, etc. Basing a teacher's salary on just academics would not do justice to the primary motive of education: to create well-rounded individuals who can think intelligently as well as with empathy. Studies regularly show that not all students are cut out for academics; each student has his/her own interests, strengths, and weaknesses. Hence, not everyone in the class will achieve great academic scores, no matter how well the teacher teaches them. Making teachers' salaries commensurate with the academic scores would hence be unfair to teachers. However, in more doctrinaire countries where academic performance is given the highest importance, a more radical stance may be adopted wherein a part of the teacher's salary is based upon their student's performance.Another important thing to consider is the teachers' mental health. Since each teacher would have their own financial obligations, in some cases a family to feed, a variable salary would have adverse effects on a teacher's mental health. The high level of stress that will arise when each teacher has to constantly ponder upon whether or not their students will do well in academic exams will eat away on the teacher's brains. This stress on the teachers' minds will bleed into the classrooms, and lead to poor quality of lessons. A vicious cycle is thus formed where the performance of students will also go down, with decreasing mental health of teachers, exacerbating each other. Some might argue that it is the teacher's job and duty to educate students no matter the circumstances, and hence they must be held accountable for anything that goes wrong in the student's performance. However, basing their salary on academic performance is too extreme, since, on the day of the test, anything can go wrong. It is not necessarily indicative of the student's level of understanding of the concepts taught by the teacher. If teachers' means of payment is made public, or somehow comes into the knowledge of their students, it can lead to more problems. For example, if a student holds a personal grudge against a teacher for some reason, what is a teacher to do? In such a case, the student might deliberately flunk a test just to get back at the teacher by trying to lower her salary. This lack of protection to the teacher would make them vulnerable to indirect attacks from disapproving students who want to see them suffer. However, if the details of the contingencies of the teacher's pay are guaranteed to be confidential, then this problem might be taken care of.In conclusion, it can be seen that basing a teacher's salary on their students' academic performance is not just unfair on the teachers, but can also be detrimental to devastating effect on the education system as a whole. However, in specific situations, a case can be made for making a part of the teacher's salary contingent upon things like the general improvement of the students' performances, their happiness levels, etc.(2) Argument Essay TaskQuestion:The following appeared in a memorandum from the owner of Movies Galore, a chain of movie-rental stores."Because of declining profits, we must reduce operating expenses at Movies Galore's ten movie-rental stores. Raising prices is not a good option since we are famous for our low prices. Instead, we should reduce our operating hours. Last month our store in downtown Marston reduced its hours by closing at 6:00 p.m. rather than 9:00 p.m. and reduced its overall inventory by no longer stocking any DVD released more than five years ago. Since we have received very few customer complaints about these new policies, we should now adopt them at all other Movies Galore stores as our best strategies for improving profits."Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument. My Essay:The argument that the owner of Movies Galore makes, in favour of adopting new policies at all other Movies Galore stores to improve profits, based on receiving very few customer complaints about these new policies, is not entirely convincing since it ignores certain crucial assumptions.Firstly, the owner of Movies Galore is too presumptuous about the real reason their profits are declining. Declining profits can be due to a wide variety of reasons other than operating expenses. It might be due to the higher cost of the DVDs from the wholesaler, maybe at the time of the year, not many people buy DVDs. Also, though they are more famous for their low prices, it is not indicative of the fact that people won't still buy their product if they price it a bit higher. Maybe their selling price is too low? A lot of companies make the mistake of pricing their offerings too low, which leads to lower revenues and hence lower profits. In order to be sure that the sales of Movies Galore are solely contingent upon their prices being so low, a detailed survey has to be carried out, in which potential customers should be asked if they would be willing to pay more for the same DVDs.Secondly, the argument assumes a linear relationship between the number of complaints received from customers and the profits of a store. While it might be indicative of the customers' delight in their experience at the store, it does not necessarily mean that customers are willing to buy more DVDs, which is necessary to increase profits. To make the argument more cogent, the owner should include evidence showcasing an increase in the profits of the store after the new policies have been implemented. Finally, the owner fails to enclose details about the locations of the other nine movie-rental stores. Are the other stores also located in downtown areas, like the one in which they implemented the new policies? The temperament of customers might differ from locality to locality, and it is not wise to not account for the fact. If some stores are located in the suburbs, maybe the results would be different, since people might be more inclined to rent DVDs to watch with their families. Also, the timing should be taken into consideration. If the operating hours of the suburban stores are cut to 6:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm, people might still be at work, in downtown, and the stores would close by the time they reach home. Hence, the author should include evidence that supports the notion that a similar trend can be seen in the other nine stores as well. Thus, the argument is not entirely sound. The evidence provided in support of the recommendation does not do enough to convince us that profits would increase in all the stores when the new policies are implemented. Ultimately, the argument might be strengthened if the author provides evidence of a linear relationship between the lower number of complaints and increased profits. Also, it can be made more cogent if the author provided results of a survey which showed that prices of their DVDs are just right for the market, and should not be increased. Finally, the author should include evidence that shows that the other nine stores are very similar to the one in downtown, to forecast a likely trend in the other stores when the new policies are implemented in them.
