This is why, behind all the legends of horology, one of my favourite is Mr. Roskopf - the inventor of the “Proletarian Watch”. This man - who managed to create a watch that everyone could afford - was a genius, and his greatness should be much more praised than it is by all horologists around the world. How long does it take to assemble a working one?This said, let’s go back to your question.And let’s focus on the mechanical movements. We all know you can buy nice quartz watches for a few bucks, but I would like to focus on the watches which attract the attention of connoisseurs worldwide, and still retain a certain value.And they are either hand-wound watches or automatic watches.In this category, as the mechanical movement does have its costs, we find few contenders. On one side of the world we find the Timex group. Timex is a very old company which has always focused on reasonable quality but affordable timepieces. They are so rugged and no-nonsense that they can withstand every kind of abuse and continue to tick-tock almost forever without maintenance. I have myself rescued some 1950s Timex watches from flea market stalls, opened their back, added a lil bit of oil, and they have started to work again right on the spot. I know, you horologist friends, this is NOT what you should do to a vintage watch - but this is just to attest their extreme rusticity and durability.The alternative is to look for Seiko and Orient watches. Those Japanese companies manufacture the best watches in the low range that you could find on the planet, bar none. The Seiko5 line is there from the 1950s, continuing to add models every year, and still very successful as always.In a way, they are the Swatches of the East, and have continued to be so for an amazing amount of time. I mean, their starting price is around 100 USD, and they come with very nice finishes, materials, and a rock-solid movement that works almost forever.Plus, they look stylish and well designed, and are positively judged by every watch connoisseur out there.If you want to start with watches, they are the perfect first step into the fray. There will be time, maybe, when you could find other kind of watches, more upscale and beautiful, or made in precious metals: but the watches from those companies will represent a very good first step.If I were you, and I would have to buy the cheapest one I can afford, I would start from a used Seiko 5 of a design you like. You can find scores of them on eBay, selling for 20–30 USDs. Just be sure you get it from a reliable seller who affirms that the watch is working, and pay it with PayPal, and you will be golden.If properly adjusted by a competent watch repairer, a Seiko 5 would be quite precise and become a trusty companion in your daily life. Go buy one: you will not regret it. Once all the units are tested, they are joined piece by piece and tested together. This is known as system test.Ideally, at this point the program is sent to customers for beta testing.For purposes of planning, companies expect a certain productivity. Where I used to work, this was 125 lines of system tested, documented (including user manual) code per man month.Microsoft is not releasing the exact number of lines of code in Windows 10 but some folks estimate in the 50 million range. If correct, that means a single average programmer would take a little over 33,333 years to write Windows 10.A talented, experienced programmer might be able to cut that by 75%. Superlative programmers write code that is twice as efficient twice as fast. Plus, he or she would write a far better operating system. Windows is as buggy as a bait store (think virus vulnerability).

It dispatches poorly paved roads without breaking into a sweat, the massive chassis floating on four thick columns of air.The car has an improved version of the ‘Airmatic’ suspension found in the earlier version, and I don’t hesitate to call this the best air suspension system around — better than on any of its competitors. As with any of these systems, it has the ability to raise the ride height of the car if road conditions demand it, making the S relatively stress-free to drive on our roads. What makes all this even better is the fact that the absorbent ride is not attained through soft springs. You don't buy a Mercedes for just getting yourself from source to destination, you buy it for the reputation and reflection of your status. The star comes with a social status, you are associating yourself with that tag by buying it. Best car in the world is going to be better as the new model is rolled out, haven't got chance to get in the new model, but still the best is just getting better.
