Similarly, my wife has had regular doctor’s visits and physicals, an emergency trip to the hospital, several laser treatments to stop bleeding in her eye and preserve her eyesight, as well as a hysterectomy after discovery of abnormal cell growth in her cervix.For none of these doctor’s visits (GP, registered nurses and specialists in oncology, ophthalmology, surgery and internal medicine), hospital admissions, diagnostic tests or in- and outpatient chemotherapy have my wife or I had to pay a dime. The result is that Canadians, with single-payer health coverage, live an average of three years longer than Americans, who make do with a patchwork system that sometimes forces people to choose among basic necessities like food, shelter and health care costs. As Jody Heymann and Douglas Barthold pointed out in a Toronto Globe and Mail article (December 31, 2013),“Canadians live longer than people in the United States. Specifically, women in Canada live an average of 83 years, compared to 80 in the U.S.; men live more than 78 years on average compared to 75 in the United States. Why is this the case? There are clear links between mortality rates and the way countries invest in health care and improving social conditions.”Evidently, the enactment of public hospital insurance after 1947 and the Medical Care Act of 1966, which later became the Canada Health Act of 1984, has had a beneficial effect on public health and longevity. There is no good reason why the U.S. should not permanently shut down the venal, private, for-profit insurance company scams and the “repeal and replace Obamacare” advocacy with a pure single-payer United States version of the Canada Health Act. Your children and grandchildren will thank you, and Americans will live longer as a result.

A fall in CO2 during the Cretaceous and Tertiary made little difference to the temperature and it is only quite recently that both have reached their present level. Oxygen in the atmosphere fluctuated from 15 to 35% during the whole period.The theory that carbon dioxide concentration is related to the temperature of the earth’s surface is therefore wrong.The growth of plants in the Carboniferous caused a reduction in atmospheric oxygen and carbon dioxide, forming the basis for large deposits of dead plants and other organisms. Plant debris became the basis for peat and coal, smaller organisms provided oil and gas, both after millions of years of applied heat and pressure from geological change; mountain building, erosion, deposition of sediments, volcanic eruptions, rises and fall of sea level and movement of continents. Enhancement of photosynthesis by increases of carbon dioxide5It is worth quoting the abstract of the paper by Randall et al 20135Satellite observations reveal a greening of the globe over recent decades. The role in this greening of the “CO2 fertilization” effect—the enhancement of photosynthesis due to rising CO2levels—is yet to be established. The direct CO2 effect on vegetation should be most clearly expressed in warm, arid environments where water is the dominant limit to vegetation growth. Using gas exchange theory, we predict that the 14% increase in atmospheric CO2 (1982–2010) led to a 5 to 10% increase in green foliage cover in warm, arid environments. Satellite observations, analyzed to remove the effect of variations in precipitation, show that cover across these environments has increased by 11%. Our results confirm that the anticipated CO2fertilization effect is occurring alongside ongoing anthropogenic perturbations to the carbon cycle and that the fertilization effect is now a significant land surface process.MEASUREMENT OF ATMOSPHERIC CARBON DIOXIDE CONCENTRATIONThe above estimates of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration were made from a range of proxy estimates. The current claim that carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has a controlling influence on the earth’s climate means that the claim depends on the accuracy with which this concentration can be measured, both in the past and in the present.Early chemical measurements of the concentration of carbon dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere have been suppressed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.Chapter 1 of the IPCC Fourth Report6, entitled “Historical overview of Climate Change Science” makes no mention of any early measurements. Weart7 in his History of the Carbon Dioxide Greenhouse Effect also makes no mention of them.Yet Beck8 has provided an annotated list with links to internet access of almost 200 references to peer reviewed academic scientific journal articles containing some 40,000 measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide by chemical methods between 1800 and 1960. Comprehensive data sets in more than 390 papers were ignored despite contributions from prominent scientists like Robert Bunsen, Konrad Roentgen, and J S Haldane or the Nobel Prize winners August Krogh and Otto Warburg.Beck lists publications of measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide in 18169 and in 183010 by Theodore de Saussure. He was the son of Horace-Benedict de Saussure, who invented the Hot Box (which resembled a greenhouse) which was the basis of the theory of the climate developed by Jean Baptiste Joseph Fourier in 1822 and 1824 which is claimed to have originated the greenhouse effect. (See my Chapter 5) Yet the measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide by de Saussure’s son are completely ignored. Other early references by Letts and Blake11 from The Royal Dublin Society give an additional list of early measurements.Beck12-14 has published several summaries and commentaries on the early measurements and includes an argument with Ralph Keeling15Engelbeen16 has provided a useful summary of Beck’s results where he disagrees with some of his conclusions. Maijer has also been critical17Most of the early measurements were from Northern Europe. Beck considered that the earliest measurements were subject to various errors but the widespread use of more reliable equipment, particularly the Pettenkofer titrimetric method in 1812 led to high accuracy, with a maximum 3% error reducing to 1% for the data of Henrik Lundegardh18,19.The measurements selected by Beck were from rural areas or the periphery of towns, under comparable conditions of a height of approx. 2m above ground at a site distant from potential industrial contamination. They showed a variation with time of day, of season, and of wind speed and direction, making it difficult to derive a local average. There were frequent measurements of concentrations higher than those reported as background concentrations by NOAA at present.These measurements were made by real people with proper instruments in a large number of localities. They give a much better appreciation of variability and change in atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration over the period than the deductions from gas trapped in ice cores which are from unrepresentative locations and subject to much uncertainty20.In 1958 Charles Keeling, introduced a new technique for the accurate measurement of atmospheric CO2 using cryogenic condensation of air samples followed by NDIR spectroscopic analysis against a reference gas, using manometric calibration.Subsequently, this technique was adopted as an analytical standard for CO2 determination throughout the world, including by the World Meteorological Association.The climate models sponsored by the Intergovernmental panel on Climate Change are based on the belief that the global climate has a balanced energy which is only changed by increasing concentrations of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. These gases are assumed to be well-mixed so that their concentration, all over the world, is a constant at any one particular time, only increasing with human emissions.In order to support this theory Keeling at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, discovered that there was an almost consistent background concentration of carbon dioxide which could be considered to apply globally and identified from suitable sites which could be shown to increase with carbon dioxide emissions.The procedure required to indentify this background is described in some detail by Tans and Thoning21 for the observatory at Mauna Loa.Measurements whose standard deviation fell below a specified minimum were rejected. On average, over the entire record, there are 13.6 retained hours per day with background CO2. The rest were rejected as noise.Beck22 has discussed the Mauna Loa measurements. Comparison between old wet chemical and new physical methods in 1958 and 1967 on sea and land give a difference of about +10 ppm for the new procedureA similar procedure has been described for New Zealand 23At Baring Head maritime well mixed air masses come from the Southerly direction, and a baseline event is normally defined as one in which the local wind direction is from the South and the standard deviation of minute-by-minute CO2 concentrations is <<0.1 ppmv for 6 or more hoursThis background concentration is supposed to be well- mixed and to be unaffected by sources and sinks.Yet the oceans are themselves contaminated with sources and sinks24Figure 8 4 CO2flux for the oceans24The region around Mauna Loa includes areas with CO2 emissions, and much of the rest is a sink. It is understandable how difficult it is to get a sufficiently constant sample.In order to claim that there is such a thing as a background CO2 it has been necessary to ensure that all measurements everywhere in the world are made from samples from over the oceans. Measurements over land surfaces have been comprehensively discouraged.Yet the greenhouse effect is about emissions, namely contamination. It is crazy, to take all this trouble to make measurements which do not involve the emitted gases themselves, but only a small fraction that is considered to be well-mixed, then to claim that it is these background figures apply to the entire atmosphere.Figure 8.5 Distribution of carbon dioxide emissions25This map shows that actual local concentrations of carbon dioxide are greatest over the three large industrial areas. Since the supposed greenhouse effect is dependent on the logarithm of the carbon dioxide concentration, increases above these areas is negligible or zero and the main supposed effects are on the areas with low current concentrations.This map does not tell the whole story. Satellite measurements of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere have recently improved with the Atmospheric Infra Red Sounder (AIRS) on NASA;s Aqua level 3 satellite, which is able to provide monthly figures for mid troposphere concentration26figures for mid troposphere concentration26Figure 8.6 Average carbon dioxide concentration in the mid troposphere July 200926This map shows that for the mid troposphere regions the high emissions from the industrial countries are circulated, by the atmosphere, so that they are no longer above the regions of emission. Since this is a time as well as a column average the actual carbon dioxide concentration at any small region in the atmosphere is changing all the time and an overall figure above a particular place on the earth is continuously varying and currently unpredictable.It also means that background measurements are no longer relevant, as are any measurements made only on the surface. If extra emissions have an effect on the climate those places where the CO2 concentration is high will have little or no change because of the logarithmic relationship. Rural and lower CO2 places would have the greatest changes from an increase and has been shown in Figure 8.3, this is likely to be beneficial. So carbon dioxide is not well-mixed in the atmosphere and the overall global models need to be modified to allow for regional CO2 change as they have already been modified to allow for regional temperature and precipitation27.NASA has even provided an animated video30 based on a model of what they think happens. It shows that actual carbon dioxide concentrations vary with time and level everywhere in the atmosphere. The new OC-2 satellite promises to make individual time- and level-based measurements.28A comparison between Figures 8.5 and 8.6 shows that there is a strong correspondence between regions with high CO2 emissions in Figure 8.5 and regions with higher CO2 concentration in Figure 8.6s. It is therefore true that the additional CO2 in the atmosphere is largely caused by CO2 emissions.There are two stable nonradioactive isotopes of carbon C12 about 98.9% and C13 about 1.1%. Since there is a slight difference in the ratio between them for C3 and C4 plants whose difference in physiology attempts are made to prove that decreases in the proportion of C13 is due to fossil fuel combustion. This is now unnecessary as the AIRS map (Figure 8.6) proves it is true.MEASUREMENT OF DOWNWARD INTENSITYThere are now measurements of downward radiation from regions absorbing radiation from the earth in associated with carbon dioxide. An example is shown in Figure 8.7Figure 8.7 Downward radiation intensity from atmospheric carbon dioxideCONCLUSIONSAtmospheric carbon dioxide is essential for all life on earth. The IPCC has deliberately concealed its irregular distribution in the atmosphere and the oceans and suppressed the evidence in the published literature. They have even ignored current satellite-derived evidence. शीफूजी अनपढ़ हैं? शीफूजी आप कितने पढ़े-लिखें हैं? इसका जवाब उन्होंने हमें नहीं दिया और दरख्वास्त की कि उनकी पढाई-लिखी का जब जिक्र हो तब अनपढ़ लिखा जाए। वो कहते हैं इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता, गद्दार तो पढ़े-लिखे भी बैठे हैं। मैंने युद्ध कला की पढाई की है ,युद्ध के नियम पढ़ें हैं, वही अभ्यास भी किए हैं और मैं मात्र बेसिक एजुकेशन पर भरोसा नहीं करता। मैंने जीवन को पढ़ना सीखा है।क्या है 'शीफू'? आप केवल इसका दुष्प्रचार कर रहे हैं?जवाब - मैंने तो वीडियो डालकर स्वयं स्वीकार कर लिया है कि मैं सामान्य सा व्यक्ति हूं और देशभक्ति मेरी रगों में है। कमांडो ट्रेनर हूं या नहीं.. यह तो उन्हें मालूम है, जिन्हें ट्रेनिंग दी जा रही है। इसके बारे में सभी को बताना जरूरी नहीं है। जहां तक सेल्फ डिफेंस और महिला सशक्तिकरण की बात है तो मिशन प्रहार के तहत मैने गांव-गांव जाकर लाखों बच्चियों को इसका नि:शुल्क प्रशिक्षण दिया है। किसी भी ट्रेनिंग के बदले भी कभी एक रुपया नहीं लिया। यदि लिया है तो आरटीआई से जानकारी लेकर हमें भी बताया जाए। मैं देश भक्ति को बेचता नहीं हूं। जैसा कि कुछ कथित लोग कर रहे हैं। जिन भी पुलिस फोर्सेस, पैरा मिलिट्री फोर्सेस और सशस्त्र सेनाओं की किसी भी यूनिट को ट्रेनिंग दी है, तो यह बात केवल वे जानते हैं और मैं जानता हूं। इसकी जानकारी हम किसी को नहीं दे सकते, क्योंकि यह यह राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़ा हुआ मसला है। मेरा एक ड्रेस कोड है जो ट्रेनिंग करते समय पहना जाता है और सिर्फ ट्रेनिंग करते समय पहना जाता है। मैंने इस डे्रस कोड का तक कभी सार्वजनिक उपयोग नहीं किया। मैं फिर भी कह रहा हूं जब भी मुझसे किसी कंसर्न अथॉरिटी के द्वारा संवैधानिक तरीके से पूछा जाएगा तो उनके सामने प्रस्तुत हो जाऊंगा। संविधान से बड़ा कोई नहीं है। यह भी पढ़ें - बागी मेें दिखेगा शिफूजी का एक्शन, इनसे इंस्पायर्ड हैं टाइगर श्राफप्रश्न - आरोप है कि खुद को ग्रांडमास्टर बताकर लोगों को गुमराह कर रहे हैं? यह कितना सही है?जवाब - हमने भारतीय नियुद्ध कला के अलग-अलग घटकों को दुनिया के सामने पेश किया है। खुद की दो-तीन कलाएं विकसित की है। इसमें एक सिर्फ सशस्त्र सेनाओं और सुरक्षा बलों के लिए है। इसका नाम मिट्टी रखा है। दूसरा खुद का सरबाइबल टैक्टिस सिस्टम बनाया है, जो मिशन प्रहार के नाम से जाना जाता है। इस विधा को जानने वाला हर परिस्थिति से बचकर निकल सकता है और यह मात्र महिलाओं को सिखाया जाता है। तीसरा भारत के युवाओं के लिए गुरुकुल पद्धति से शारीरिक और मानसिक नियंत्रण करने का एक प्रोग्राम डेवलप किया है, जिसे शिफूजीज बूट कैंप के नाम से जाना जाता है। इससे युवाओं को सशक्त कर रहे हैं। आप ही बताएं, अब इसके लिए ग्रांडमास्टर नहीं कहलाएंगे तो क्या, पॉयलट कहलाएंगे।जहां तक शिफूजी शब्द लिखने की बात है कि तो संस्कृत में शी मतलब...शिव की उत्पत्ति, फू का मतलब चरण और जिह का मतलब रेतस यानी बीज, अर्थात महाकाल के पैर में उत्पन्न हुआ बीज...। वैसे तो नाम लिखने का अधिकार भारत सरकार ने दिया है। मेरे आधार कार्ड में ही ग्रांडमास्टर शिफूजी शौर्य भारद्वाज लिखा हुआ है। मैं अपने दस्तखत में इंकलाब जिंदाबाद लिखता हूं और हमेशा लिखूंगा..। समझ में नहीं आता कि इस पर लोगों को क्या आपत्ति है? मैने तो कभी नहीं पूछा कि कौन क्या लिख रहा है? यदि मैं गलत हूं तो संविधान कार्रवाई करेगा? ये सब पूछने वाले ये कौन होते हैं?यह भी पढ़ें - शिफूजी बोले- जब देश के दुश्मन नेस्तनाबूद होंगे, तब मनाएंगे दिवालीप्रश्न - यदि आरोप गलत हैं, तो क्या आप इस मामले में कोई संवैधानिक कार्रवाई करेंगे ?जवाब - वैसे आपको बता दूं कि मेरे और मेरे परिवार की सुरक्षा में सेंध लगाने का प्रयास पिछले काफी समय से चल रहा है। मेरे परिवार के फोन नम्बरों को ट्रेस करके उनमें अनाप-शनाप मैसेज भेजे जा रहे हैं। मिल रही धमकियों की पूरी जानकारी भी दो राज्यों की पुलिस के पास है। इसकी जांच चल रही है। सुरक्षा और देश के सम्मान के लिहाज से इसका जवाब सोशल मीडिया या अन्य माध्यमों से देना अनुचित है। हमने कानून के जानकारों से सलाह ली है। ये बात भी सामने आ चुकी है कि पूरी चाल उन लोगों की है, जो देश से ईष्या रखते हैं। वे चाहते हैं कि मैं अपना काम रोक दूं, लेकिन ये मेरी प्रतिबद्धता है कि भारतीय सेना और पुलिस के हर जवान के लिए और उसके परिवार के हक के लिए आखिरी सांस तक तत्पर रहूंगा। रही बात आरोप लगाने वालों की तो उनके खिलाफ संवैधानिक तौर पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी। दुष्प्रचार करके आत्मसम्मान को ठेस पहुंचाने वालों पर जल्द ही मानहानि का दावा किया जाएगा।समर्थकों ने भेजे फोटो एक शिफूजी पर आरोपों पर दौर चल रहा है, वहीं शिफूजी के पक्ष में भी युवाओं की टीम सक्रिय हो गई है। शिफूजी के समर्थकों ने उन पर आरोप लगाने वाले युवक की फोटोज सोशल मीडिया पर डाली हैं। इन फोटो में शिफूजी पर आरोप लगाने वाला युवक किसी आलीशान होटल में शराब पीते हुए दिख रहा है। फोटो पर समर्थकों ने लिखा है कि जिसका खुद चरित्र नहीं है, ऐसा व्यक्ति शिफूजी जैसे लोगों पर आरोप लगा रहा है। इसे सच कैसे माना जा सकता है। पूरे मामले की जांच होनी चाहिए और इस पर न्यायसंगत कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिए।JAI HIND,Come on guys, let’s show some positivity.Before answering this I went through answers and decided to have a say, how I see it. I respect and encourage people not to blindly believe or follow anything. But that doesn’t mean we should start criticizing if we can’t find reliable information about a guy.And if someone still thinks, Shifuji Shaurya is wrong and fake. Why not file a legal case? Why not reach out to departments and bring him down? As India is a country of activists. I see that some of us has already taken steps, then why the delay? I think it has been going for 4-5 months now. If Shifuji Shaurya would have been a complete fake, he would probably have been shut down by now.Sorry, but I can’t recall a single instance where he claimed to be anywhere related to Indian Army or Forces. Yup he claimed to be a Commandos and Martial Arts Trainer instead. We will re-visit this point again at a later stage.Now.He must had worked very very hard to acquire skills he possesses today. To reach a position where he could give back something to society and country. To Train someone. It’s truly marvelous what he has achieved with his body. People/organizations must have seen something in him and requested/hired for services. To me it truly doesn’t matter he is training commandos or film stars. May be not you or me but many of us marvel over Salman and Aamir khan bodies when they do it for movies. This guy has dedicated his whole life to it. Training, Fitness, Martial Arts in itself are appreciable.He is training girls/women, how to protect themselves. He has started a noble mission “Mission Prahar” and devoting himself to it. How marvelous. And yes free of cost. He doesn’t charge.I appreciate him for the way he carries himself. The way he speaks. The way he dresses (and condemn if wears Balidan insignia, Maroon Beret and Marcos Badge, if he is not one). The way he keeps his head high at all times, and not look arrogant. He wears his pride. Inspires us like Bhagat Singh did. What’s wrong if dresses like Bhagat Singh and wears him on his chest. I am assuming he follows and try to mimic Bhagat Singh as he was a true legend. I do not find anything wrong in this. He is fearless. How many of us could afford to criticize big leaders on a public forum for their wrong deeds. I am truly a fan of his oratory skills. His choices or words, his way and tone of uttering them. The way he carries himself, the way he speaks, Admirable. At least he is not criticizing like you all. He speaks to inspire.How many of us knew or heard of Kalaripayattu before Shifuji Shaurya? Though we all know Judo, Karate, Shaolin, Taekwondo and few others. He is bringing back a lost Indian Martial Art. Just like everyone of us Indians knew about Yoga but Baba Ramdev took it to the world, which is a win-win situation. Yoga got its due fame and people embraced it for being healthy.When he speaks out loud in support of defense, he might not be speaking on their behalf but speaking on their side. We comfortably seat in our homes and offices, foot soldiers faces problems day-in-day-out. But they are bound under code of conduct. Can’t speak publically. Can’t disobey their seniors. They might get little solace.How many of you criticized or took any bold steps towards bringing them down when celebrities rolled their vehicles on innocents or kept illegal arms to benefit country’s traitors? If he is faking, faking for betterment. Lord Krishna once said one lie is better than hundred truths if it benefits someone. At least he is awakening and inspiring youths. We all need motivation for almost every aspects in our lives.Someone made a guess, he is from UP/Bihar. Does it really matter? Does it matter where Bhagat Singh or Mahatma Gandhi was from? What matter is what they did and how did they do it. How they influenced, inspired and lead masses. Don’t sit on your couches in front of your laptops/mobiles and criticize.I may not be as good as all of you framing paragraphs criticizing him. But this guy deserves a little RESPECT.Coming back to Commandos/Marcos training. I believe (I am assuming) Army or Mumbai police or whichever organization have occasionally hired him and he is talking about that. We all cherish and show off such things. Few of us has already pointed out Armed Forces keep such things discrete. Why can’t this be the reason they are nor confirming JAt least he is giving hope, if nothing else.
