It also marks the franchise’s 50th Anniversary.As for how it relates to the in-universe narrative, as previous answers have mentioned, the Daniel Craig Bond movies rebooted the series, with Casino Royale firmly stating that it takes place in the year that it was released (2006).We know this as, the messages on Moulaka’s phone quite clearly shows the date as the 6th July 2006.Bond traces the sender to the Bahamas, where the date is again confirmed by the security camera DVD at the Ocean Club that he uses to identify the sender, Alex Dimitrios.Three days later (9th July) the failed attempt at the unavailing of Skyfleet’s new airliner took place as per LeChriffe’s dialogue and by Carlos’s phone. In order to recoup his clients' lost money, LeChiffre organizes a high-stakes Texas hold 'em tournament at the Casino Royale in Montenegro, which lasts 3 days. After loosing the game LeChiffre, kidnaps Bond and Vesper and tortures them into revealing the account number and password to the winnings, but Bond refuses. Mr. White bursts in and kills LeChiffre as punishment for betraying the trust of his organization by gambling with their money, leaving Bond and Vesper alive.A period of about a month passes, during which time Bond has recuperated from his injuries and goes travelling with Vesper, where the two fall in love. They end up in Venice, where Vesper is revealed to have been a double agent the whole time. This happens on the 4th August 2006 due to the text message Vesper received from Getler (which Bond finds and discovers her betrayal) to the text below Bond receives from Vesper leading him on the hunt for Mr White.The film ends with Bond finding and injuring Mr White but it is unknown how long Bond/MI6 have been searching for White.Quantum of Solace picks up directly where Casino Royale ended. After successfully disposing of his pursuers, Bond arrives at the safehouse in Siena, where White exposes a traitor (Mitchell) in MI6 which after a chase, Bond kills. White managed to escape.This naturally all takes place within the same year as Casino Royale but there is a slight inconsistency here, as when Mitchell’s London flat is being searched a Range Rover with the registration BJ57OGD can be seen outside. A ‘57’ British car registration plate would have been registered between 1st September 2007–29th February 2008. Now I don’t put much stock into registration plates as these films are never meant to be analysed in this much detail, so to me this more of a continuity error (in the same way that Bond goes from wearing a Brioni suit at the end of Casino Royale, to a Tom Ford suit in the opening of Quantum).But what is less easy to explain is that Rene Mathis was tried and cleared of being a traitor after Bond was tricked in the previous film by LeChiffre. Yet in Quantum, he is now living in a beautiful home and is paying for his retirement. Now this clearly would take a considerable amount of time to sort out, therefore there has to be a time jump of at least 6–12 months.We can see that the events of film has now reached the year in which it was released (2008) as the Greene party ticket confirms the date to be 8-23-08.This means that the events of Quantum of Solace takes place over the course of two years, giving enough time forMI6 to build an investigation to track down Mr. White.Felix to get re-assigned to South America and Gregory Beam.Mathis to be cleared and settle down in his villa as compensation.Skyfall then picks up with a more experienced Bond, who is being told he should think about retiring as an active agent. If we go by the release dates then Bond has been a 00 for 4 years but I honestly think it should be closer to 10 as Bond’s personal growth perfectly mirrors his growth in the books, with Skyfall/Spectre standing in for the OHMSS/YOLT as Bond meets Blofeld for the first time in both continuities.The only real evidence to suggest that Skyfall takes place in 2012 is thatThe 1962 Macallan Scotch that Bond drinks, which Silva says is 50 years old and a particular favourite of yours (Bond’s).M’s Jag has the registration OV61FVF. The registration period for ‘61’ cars in Britain was 1st September 2011–29th February 2012.Again I wouldn’t put too much stock in using the regi-plate to pinpoint the year, as older regi-plated cars are still a very common sight today and while you’d expect MI6 to have the latest vehicles, they most likely have older cars in reserve. Other than that there isn’t much that points it to be set in 2012.What also doesn’t help when trying to decipher when Skyfall is set that there are considerable time jumps within the film itself.Bond is presumed dead for three months, this is even stated 30 seconds into the trailer, when Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes) comments“Three months ago you lost a computer drive containing the identity of every agent embedded in terrorist organizations across the globe.”Now while it’s possible that the computer drive had been stolen from a different location and had only been recently tracked to Turkey, I think its more likely that the pre-title sequence was when the drive had originally been stolen and the post-title sequence picks up three months later.Spectre supposedly takes place over the course of ten days (Tanner says the old MI6 building will be demolished within a week, which we then see in the climax). It is implied that only a few months have passed since the end of Skyfall, with the leaked shooting script indicating nine months have passed (Spectre : le script du 17 octobre). This is certainly enough time for,Bond's personal possessions being released following the destruction of the Skyfall lodgeBond to receive a recorded message from Judi Dench’s M in the post, telling him to track down Marco Sciarra and kill him.The ruin of the old MI6 HQ on Vauxhall to be demolished.But when you consider how much time it would take forThe CNS building to be fully finished and kitted out, yet is nowhere to be seen during the London scenes in Skyfall.The Nine Eyes program to go live.Going by how long it took to build The Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe), which the CNS building closely resembles went from start to finish in three years, meaning that at least three years would have passed between films, for it to be completed. But then you’d expect that the old MI6 HQ wouldn’t have been left in such a state for three years. This makes the in-universe time difference between Skyfall and Spectre very inconsistent and with Spectre not giving any definitive dates it’s impossible to pinpoint exactly how much time has passed between the two films. Yes, I have been stalked by federal and state agencies 24/7 since a 2012 raid on my house in Anchorage Alaska. I drew the attention of these agencies for my activism as Alaska’s 9/11 Grass-Roots organizer 2002-present. In 2016 this stalking escalated dramatically and I sold my property and fled my Home State of Alaska where I had lived for over 49 years.Unfortunately the stalking continued in California where I stayed briefly before heading to Texas to buy and remodel a flood home that sustained damage in Hurricane Harvey. Upon arrival in Houston Texas the stalking resumed once again. I suffered a house fire where my home was burnt nearly to the ground, I was illegally detained after this fire. While I was detained all personnel possessions not lost in the fire were stolen except for my F350 pickup truck I had brought with me from Alaska, this included brand new sets of cordless tools that were not in the fire, and the only foot prints leading to the room where they were store were those of Firemen Boots. Also taken was a rolling toolbox that was in the four car garage, four foot tall, three feet deep, by five foot wide, filled with high quality mechanics tools, a great percentage of these were snap on tools. I returned to my burnt home and after selling land parcels that I had left in Alaska I began to rebuild this house. As I was finishing this project I found the Harris County Police Department holding joint exercises with Homeland Security.In late July of 2019 I found a Harris County Police officer had began to sit in front of my home, he would block me in my driveway, and if I was to walk from my house to confront him, he would exit his car and trespass on my property as I told him not to and leave me to back into my home. This went on for about ten straight days. He would also taunt and harass me if I was to leave my residence. I posted a no trespassing sign that named this officer and stated that he specifically was not allowed to trespass on my property.On about the 29th of July, this officer arrived at my house with the security supervisor for the home owners association to do a (civil standby) as this supervisor did a forced mow on my lawn. The home owners association later stated that they had sent mail advising me my grass was to tall. I instructed them to leave and that they were trespassing, they refused. I tried to spray them with a water hose, yet it would not reach. I re-entered my home and as I was opening my kitchen window, this officer who was now trespassing and halfway from the street to my house drew his weapon on me, I ducked out of the way, grabbed a nail gun, and ran across the window firing at the ground in front of this officer.I realize this sounds like a drastic measure to take, but having been stalked by government agencies for years assaulting me in every way with no recourse this is what I did. The lawn mower man put his mower in his truck, and the police officer left within 15 minutes. Over 36 hour later the harris county police raided my property, and I refused to give them entry, after about 45 minutes they gained entry to the residence and I was arrested.I spent about four months in the Harris County Jail before a friend flew down from Alaska and posted my bond. When I returned to my home, once again, all belongings were stolen, along with all of my documentation, car titles, house deed, identification, all brand new appliances, every thing I owned, except for my F350 truck and a Jaguar I now owned. Upon my return the stalking continued, by the Harris County Police. The same officer would drive by my home, flashing his lights on and off as he passed as a means to intimidate me. fearing I would be set up again I sold my home for a very low cash offer, I then stayed at hotels. As I travelled from harris county, to Galveston, then back to harris county I was subjected to a horn honking campaign. This much like the widely reported (ABC NEWS) horn honking campaign a couple had been subjected to after angering the Fire Chief in their city, after their refusal to sell this man their property. I recorded this everywhere I went, and the harris County Fire Department also took part in this as the videos show.I eventually rented a room in a house in Texas City from another lady who is also targeted by the government. The stalking continues, horn honking, etc which I have been subjected to since 2012. Of course there is also siren harassment by the Texas City Emergency workers. I am now a member of Pacts International, and Targeted Justice in Texas, yet until this is addressed at a national level the crimes of the FBI, NSA, Homeland Security, Police, FISA courts, etc will go on with no action being taken for they work at a criminal level at present with accountability under the law.
