Of course!! 100 %, it was a blunder by MS DHONI though before jumping into conclusion ,we should look at the matter from two perspectives.SHORT TERM OUTPUTAs we know, The former captain of the Indian cricket team “MS DHONI” had implemented a policy during CB Series 2012 known as rotation policy. Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir were involved.The policy was used to give more chances to youngsters with consideration of ICC World Cup 2015. As CB series was hosted by Australia and the series was also in the Austraila. It's was the best time for the youngsters to get adapted to the pitch conditions. The three Senior players as I mentioned above could not play together in a match.One Senior player had to make a way for a young player in the playing XI. Gambhir was in the form but in subsequent matches , Sehwag and Gambhir both had become out of form and India were losing the matches continuously. Yes, the captain had done these things to look for future players who can Lead the Indian team and fill the shoes of cricket giants like Sehwag, Sachin and Gambhir. GG was right from his perspective .
